I think the reason this fable has endured the test of time is just like all others - the power of folklore. Similar to the Anancy tales from Ghana, it teachws deeper lessons and are quite entertaining hence their longevity.
It would seem mist of the stories we were taught as history were actually myths. There are actually several Lovers Leap overseas with similar stories behind them. BTW What’s that’s swastika on the Google earth pic? 😮
What do you think?🤔 Wouldn't it be good for the Lovers Leap proprietors to set up - say a NOVELTY BUNGEE JUMP feature? This would make the legend more impactful for lovers visiting the site, as a TOURIST ATTRACTION 🤩. They would do a double jump together together off a cliff type structure, of say 100ft or more 😃 God bless Jamaica 🇯🇲 ✝️🙏
