    The moment the beast rolls out of the garage under its own power was awesome. Congrats!

      It felt really cool! Thanks!

    I’m doing a conversion and not finding many examples of the build process for battery packs and wiring etc so this is gold thanks

    That is one heck of a battery! I had no idea.

      It has to be big to power a vehicle!

    This is really inspirational, and very happy for you in how it turned out. Reconfiguring the battery pack and getting all the BMS wiring correct was kind of a nail biter. But your work certainly will serve as a great guide as others like me move forward on our conversions. On my smaller vehicle I’ll need to have 2-3 battery boxes - trunk, rear seat and engine bay to fit 40Kwh or more and distribute the weight evenly. Big, big congrats.

      Thank you! Yes, finding a space for the batteries is probably the hardest part of an EV conversion.

    Great video, a lot of information about how to really do it. You ever have a works man thumb hopefully you don't lose the nail.

    Have you done a rangr test yet ? Have you had any over heating on the motor or batteries?

    • @EVSwap
      @EVSwap  Год назад

      70 miles range. No overheating on the batteries or motor. Usually the motor is about ambient and the batteries heat up slightly.

    This is pretty awesome! Rhanks foe takung us along the journey. I've been thinking about converting my 84 Cadillac. Do you think Nissan Leaf components would work for a car this size? Also, do you provide conversion services? If so, how much?

    • @EVSwap
      @EVSwap  Год назад +1

      Yes it would probably work on your Cadillac too. Yes I do conversions for hire. Send me an email Jimmy@evswapconversions.com and we can talk more!

    What are you doing for heat management of the batteries?

    • @EVSwap
      @EVSwap  Год назад

      Nothing haha. The leaf battery is not actively cooled at all. Because it's low power at only 80kw and only has Chademo charging there is not a need to actively cool it

    hot tip, 6/9 and 1/7, maybe even 2/5 are not very nice when decoding handwriting in something that might be upside down. The paranoid person would write it as one two three.
