- Married at a young age, James and Ellen were convinced that God had a great work for them to accomplish together. They were not wrong, as they went on to form the Seventh Day Adventist Church together. Through the course of their marriage, they had many trials thrown at them - things that may have broken many other marriages, yet their love for each other continued until James' death in 1881 at the age of 60.

Amen! Amen and amen! A beautiful reminder that marriages in God's hands still work! To God be the glory!
Very important point illustrated in this video concerning life partners. So many of my friends have broken relationships, no peace, arguments, court matters..Just plain ugly. All because most of them simply went on outward looks or premarital relations. They ignored the importance of God's purpose for their life including their choice of life partners. I'm glad to be able to share these points with my younger siblings before they get married etc, as well as applying it to my own life. As long as we have breath, redemption is a moment away. It doesn't mean that we won't have consequences to deal with though. But thanks be to God that He is always ready and able to help us, no matter what the situation. A willing heart to do His will is what we require. Just like the times some of us wished we listened to what our parents told us. The same applies to God but to an even greater scale and it saves us so much more heartache than the counsel of our earthly parents. If we would just listen. I came to God harder afte ri was married. my wife and i broke up. but then we were married on our knees to jesus eith no ceramnoy. i am very devoted she is not. she cries and feels shuned, i pray and give her more love. we are still toghter growing. i do not bleive that cause we were not married as written but latter came to him with truth we are saved. to be togehear, my devotion to never givin gup on her but giving mor e of gods love not going away , is saving our marriage. god bless. it is up to the one that is stronger to devote more to help the other. for the one that is the beliver will save the other says the word of god. it take spain and suffering of her distant behavoiurs and my love to tame her fears. i will be with her as long as God decides as he said. i did not come here to bring the familes togehter but to tear them apart. precep upon precep. everything is gods choice with out my opinion as how it all works in each case, if we break up it is cause he wills it as i am close to him

JESUS WARNS THE SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS
Three years ago the Lord Jesus said, "Go to the phone book and call Adventist churches" because He said no one was reaching out to them. I then said, they're good people. Then He said, they believe lies. My response was that they say that God answers prayer on their television and radio programs. He said, they deceive themselves.
It seems that they are convinced Ellen White was a prophet and that her claims are true. People have placed her words above Scripture. False doctrines are lies and you know that heresy is a work of the flesh as declared in Galatians chapter 5. Heretics do not inherit the kingdom of God. So this is a serious matter. I became familiar with the Adventists starting in 1974 when a colporteur came to the door. He said things like, do we keep nine commandments or all ten? I was unprepared for a debate, but I never once was convicted for not going to church on Saturday. Adventists believe the Sabbath(going to church on Saturday) is binding from Ellen White because the Lord Jesus did not command it. The rich young ruler asked what he must do to inherit eternal life. The Lord mentioned the commandments of which the Sabbath is excluded. Of course Ellen White didn't think so. The Sabbath is not the heart of the moral law. Love is the heart of it: "Love worketh no ill to his neighbor, therefore love is THE FULFILLING OF THE LAW (Romans 13:10)." The two great commandments also demonstrate this fact.
Jesus broke the Sabbath and said David did, therefore so can everyone else. The Sabbath commandment is nowhere quoted in the New Testament. The sabbatarians wanted to kill Jesus. In Acts they stoned Paul. Sabbath keeping did nothing for them. It was for the Old Testament Jews and is not part of the gospel. Jesus is the mediator of the New Covenant, greater than Moses who mediated the Old Covenant as noted in Hebrews. Jesus is the reality of things foreshadowed in the Old Testament, of which the Sabbath day was one as Collossians 2:16, 17 declares: "the Sabbath was a shadow and Christ is the substance." This fact is clearly demonstrated in the book of Numbers 28:9, 10 where two lambs were offered on the Sabbath day which looked forward to the sacrifice of Christ. The Old Testament sacrifices, the priesthood and the Sabbath were abolished and Jesus became our rest. As Lord of rest, we just follow him.. He is "the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him(Hebrews 5:9)." We are to rest in His merits for we "are complete in him(Collossians2:10)" and "...By grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works...(Ephesians 2:8-10)." Therefore,
the rest of faith in Hebrews 4 is not the Sabbath day. It is exactly that - a rest of FAITH, not a day of the week. Judaizers are accursed for pulling Christians back into the Old Testament obsolete Jewish system(see Galatians 1:6-9). His sheep hear his voice and a stranger they will not follow(John 10).
Paul went into the synagogues on the Sabbath in the book of Acts to preach to the Jews and their gentile converts as noted in Acts 13. The unbelieving Jews persecuted the apostles, therefore these were not believer's meetings, nor was the apostle Paul keeping the Sabbath. On the contrary, the believers met on the first day of the week - the day of the resurrection as seen in 1 Corinthians 16:2 and Acts 20:7. Therefore, going to church on the first day of the week is not taking the mark of the beast. Christians were meeting on that day long before the papacy came around to falsely claim they changed the Sabbath day. Furthermore, Catholics can meet for church on Saturday as well as Sunday. Ellen White invented the idea that Sunday church attendance is taking the mark of the beast, therefore it is dangerous to trust your eternal destiny on her "revelations." It looks like the mark of the beast is going to be a digital tattoo or a microchip implant. Adventists looking for Sunday laws or believe in a Sunday mark will doom themselves should they take the real mark.
Soul sleeping is a false doctrine. Jesus "brought life and immortality to light through the gospel(2 Tim. 1:10)." Therefore there's life immediately after death in which consciousness survives death. Jesus said that believers are passed from death unto life. Eternal life begins now in this life upon experiencing the new birth. New Testament examples are: When Jesus was transfigured before Peter, James and John, "there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him(Matthew 17:3)." The rich man and Lazarus were alive after death. Jesus said that the believing thief on the cross would go to paradise the day he died. Stephen the first martyr when about to die said, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit(Acts 7:59)." Hebrews 12:22-24 tells us who are in heaven, including the spirits of just men made perfect, that is, the disembodied believers from earth. This is also taught in 1 Thessalonians 4:14: "...them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him." According to 2 Corinthians 5:6-9, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Therefore, Jesus is coming with his saints and for his saints. Since there is no soul sleeping in Christ, the bodies of believers will be resurrected at the coming of the Lord. Furthermore, in the book of Revelation there are 24 elders seen in heaven as well as other men as noted in chapter 15 verse 8.
Concerning the no meat eating doctrine: It is "giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils forbidding to abstain from meats. (1Timothy 4:1,3)". The early church Christians were told regarding food to "abstain from things strangled and from blood(Acts 15:20)."Jesus said, "Eat what's set before you, and it's not what goes into the mouth that defiles a man, but what's in the heart." The Mosaic dietary laws were not brought forward into the New Testament.
Jesus taught an endless hell "where the fire is not quenched and the worm dieth not", but Ellen White taught annihilation or no hell instead. Consciousness survives death. It's safe to only follow the Lord...His sheep "know his voice and a stranger they will not follow(John 10:4, 5)."
The investigative judgment is nowhere taught in scripture. She made it up after the Second Coming did not take place in 1843. This is another made up heresy invented by Ellen White.
The U.S. in prophecy is the great eagle in Revelation 12:14, not the second beast of Revelation chapter13.
According to someone's testimony, they saw in hell the prophetess Ellen White in hell. Jesus said she is in this place for inventing heresies. She prophesied lies and still had connections with the satanists who helped [her] ministry grow. She also taught [her] members to keep the Sabbath stepping on My grace. Whoever wants to live in the law will have to never sinned. Whoever chooses to live in the law will have to save himself from it without committing any sin like Me. All the sects that reject My grace stare down the contract of the New Covenant. Whoever lives in the contract of the Old Covenant will be cursed and go to hell. Jesus said, "This woman Ellen White lied saying, 'There is no hell.' " She taught people hell does not exist, but when she died she landed in hell. What a beautiful tribute. Reminds me of Joseph and Emma Smith at the head of my faith. They had a beautiful love and marriage that strengthened them through hard times, particularly the loss of many of their young children.

I can personally testify that the writings align with the Word and the prophecies are being fulfilled accordingly (are we not closer to the passing of a law compelling all to uphold Sunday as the day of worship?

Three years ago the Lord Jesus said, "Go to the phone book and call Adventist churches" because He said no one was reaching out to them. I then said, they're good people. Then He said, they believe lies. My response was that they say that God answers prayer on their television and radio programs. He said, they deceive themselves.
It seems that they are convinced Ellen White was a prophet and that her claims are true. People have placed her words above Scripture. False doctrines are lies and you know that heresy is a work of the flesh as declared in Galatians chapter 5. Heretics do not inherit the kingdom of God. So this is a serious matter. I became familiar with the Adventists starting in 1974 when a colporteur came to the door. He said things like, do we keep nine commandments or all ten? I was unprepared for a debate, but I never once was convicted for not going to church on Saturday. Adventists believe the Sabbath(going to church on Saturday) is binding from Ellen White because the Lord Jesus did not command it. The rich young ruler asked what he must do to inherit eternal life. The Lord mentioned the commandments of which the Sabbath is excluded. Of course Ellen White didn't think so. The Sabbath is not the heart of the moral law. Love is the heart of it: "Love worketh no ill to his neighbor, therefore love is THE FULFILLING OF THE LAW (Romans 13:10)." The two great commandments also demonstrate this fact.
Jesus broke the Sabbath and said David did, therefore so can everyone else. The Sabbath commandment is nowhere quoted in the New Testament. The sabbatarians wanted to kill Jesus. In Acts they stoned Paul. Sabbath keeping did nothing for them. It was for the Old Testament Jews and is not part of the gospel. Jesus is the mediator of the New Covenant, greater than Moses who mediated the Old Covenant as noted in Hebrews. Jesus is the reality of things foreshadowed in the Old Testament, of which the Sabbath day was one as Collossians 2:16, 17 declares: "the Sabbath was a shadow and Christ is the substance." This fact is clearly demonstrated in the book of Numbers 28:9, 10 where two lambs were offered on the Sabbath day which looked forward to the sacrifice of Christ. The Old Testament sacrifices, the priesthood and the Sabbath were abolished and Jesus became our rest. As Lord of rest, we just follow him.. He is "the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him(Hebrews 5:9)." We are to rest in His merits for we "are complete in him(Collossians2:10)" and "...By grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works...(Ephesians 2:8-10)." Therefore,
the rest of faith in Hebrews 4 is not the Sabbath day. It is exactly that - a rest of FAITH, not a day of the week. Judaizers are accursed for pulling Christians back into the Old Testament obsolete Jewish system(see Galatians 1:6-9). His sheep hear his voice and a stranger they will not follow(John 10).
Paul went into the synagogues on the Sabbath in the book of Acts to preach to the Jews and their gentile converts as noted in Acts 13. The unbelieving Jews persecuted the apostles, therefore these were not believer's meetings, nor was the apostle Paul keeping the Sabbath. On the contrary, the believers met on the first day of the week - the day of the resurrection as seen in 1 Corinthians 16:2 and Acts 20:7. Therefore, going to church on the first day of the week is not taking the mark of the beast. Christians were meeting on that day long before the papacy came around to falsely claim they changed the Sabbath day. Furthermore, Catholics can meet for church on Saturday as well as Sunday. Ellen White invented the idea that Sunday church attendance is taking the mark of the beast, therefore it is dangerous to trust your eternal destiny on her "revelations." It looks like the mark of the beast is going to be a digital tattoo or a microchip implant. Adventists looking for Sunday laws or believe in a Sunday mark will doom themselves should they take the real mark.
Soul sleeping is a false doctrine. Jesus "brought life and immortality to light through the gospel(2 Tim. 1:10)." Therefore there's life immediately after death in which consciousness survives death. Jesus said that believers are passed from death unto life. Eternal life begins now in this life upon experiencing the new birth. New Testament examples are: When Jesus was transfigured before Peter, James and John, "there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him(Matthew 17:3)." The rich man and Lazarus were alive after death. Jesus said that the believing thief on the cross would go to paradise the day he died. Stephen the first martyr when about to die said, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit(Acts 7:59)." Hebrews 12:22-24 tells us who are in heaven, including the spirits of just men made perfect, that is, the disembodied believers from earth. This is also taught in 1 Thessalonians 4:14: "...them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him." According to 2 Corinthians 5:6-9, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Therefore, Jesus is coming with his saints and for his saints. Since there is no soul sleeping in Christ, the bodies of believers will be resurrected at the coming of the Lord. Furthermore, in the book of Revelation there are 24 elders seen in heaven as well as other men as noted in chapter 15 verse 8.
Concerning the no meat eating doctrine: It is "giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils forbidding to abstain from meats. (1Timothy 4:1,3)". The early church Christians were told regarding food to "abstain from things strangled and from blood(Acts 15:20)."Jesus said, "Eat what's set before you, and it's not what goes into the mouth that defiles a man, but what's in the heart." The Mosaic dietary laws were not brought forward into the New Testament.
Jesus taught an endless hell "where the fire is not quenched and the worm dieth not", but Ellen White taught annihilation or no hell instead. Consciousness survives death. It's safe to only follow the Lord...His sheep "know his voice and a stranger they will not follow(John 10:4, 5)."
The investigative judgment is nowhere taught in scripture. She made it up after the Second Coming did not take place in 1843. This is another made up heresy invented by Ellen White.
The U.S. in prophecy is the great eagle in Revelation 12:14, not the second beast of Revelation chapter13.
According to someone's testimony, they saw in hell the prophetess Ellen White in hell. Jesus said she is in this place for inventing heresies. Ellen white has never claimed to be a prophet. Neither has the above video. All this reference to her as a prophet is because some of us are programmed to glorify human beings and basically can't wrap our minds around one that glorifies Jesus rather than self. The bible is very clear in revelation 19:10' ....for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy'

Except where Sabbath keeping/non-meat eating/non-jewellery wearing are concerned, SDAs seem to be wandering away from what the founding fathers taught. But I study KJV daily (don't trust the new versions) and read the Testimonies often. Over time, doubts that I had about EGW were dismissed one by one as I studied the bible. What are your thoughts?
@@jamisheilyr Yes, that is the impression I got and it is very off putting. But the proof is in the eating of the pudding. When I was a teenager, I first read about some of the visions she had and can say the Holy Spirit ministered to me in a profound way that I started to understand only years later when I decided to return to Christ but unwittingly got caught up in a Pentecostal cult. They worked on be well and even had me fearing devils but Holy Spirit brought back to my mind what I had read in the bible and her books and used that to carry me through many turbulent situations in life. Many years later, I tried to return to the SDA but the spirit in the church was dead; only that the doctrines were supported by the bible kept my faith from being fully extinguished.
So a few years ago I obtained her books (starting with Prophets and Kings - the later years of Solomon) and the Lord ministered to me profoundly. The thing about EGW books (I prefer to call them the Testimonies) is that they point the reader to Christ and Christ alone. You cannot read those books whilst having a clear conscience about sin in your life. Plus they help me to understand some difficult things in scripture none of the other denominations seem to have a clue about, especially the prophecies in Daniel and Revelation, the state of the dead, etc. Yes, I know, a mouthful ::::)

I well know how difficult it is to break away from strongholds because Satan will not let anyone out of his grasp without an unfair and cruel struggle.
Whatever happens, know that Jesus knew about it before He went on the cross. Neither He nor the Father gets mad at us when we fall. Once we are determined whatever the weaknesses, the Godhead will send help to us. Keep trying in Jesus, keep studying and keep putting up a resistance. A stalemate does not mean you are defeated, it means the opponent is being resisted. Press on in Jesus' name. Instead of commemorating this major event with the rest of Christendom, Ellen White deceived people into idolizing a Hebrew ritual law that was fulfilled and therefore abolished according to the New Testament as noted above.
Judaizers are accursed for pulling Christians back into the Old Testament obsolete Jewish system(see Galatians 1:6-9). The Sabbath observance was a duty for the people back then as long as the Covenant was in effect. Therefore the Sabbath was not forever, the same as the Old Testament with its animal sacrifices and Levitical priesthood. The Good Shepherd abrogated the Old Covenant by establishing the New. His sheep hear his voice and a stranger they will not follow(John 10).
Paul went into the synagogues on the Sabbath in the book of Acts to preach to the Jews and their gentile converts as noted in Acts 13. The unbelieving Jews persecuted the apostles, therefore these were not believer's meetings, nor was the apostle Paul keeping the Sabbath. On the contrary, the believers met on the first day of the week - the day of the resurrection as seen in 1 Corinthians 16:2 and Acts 20:7. Therefore, going to church on the first day of the week is not taking the mark of the beast. Christians were meeting on that day long before the papacy came around to falsely claim they changed the Sabbath day. Furthermore, Catholics can meet for church on Saturday as well as Sunday. Ellen White invented the idea that Sunday church attendance is taking the mark of the beast, therefore it is dangerous to trust your eternal destiny on her "revelations." It looks like the mark of the beast is going to be a digital tattoo or a microchip implant. Adventists looking for Sunday laws or believe in a Sunday mark will doom themselves should they take the real mark. "...Because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved...God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: that they all might be damned who believed not the truth...(2 Thessalonians 2:10-12)."
Soul sleeping is a false doctrine. Jesus "brought life and immortality to light through the gospel(2 Tim. 1:10)." Therefore there's life immediately after death in which consciousness survives death. Jesus said that believers are passed from death unto life. Eternal life begins now in this life upon experiencing the new birth. New Testament examples are: When Jesus was transfigured before Peter, James and John, "there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him(Matthew 17:3)." The rich man and Lazarus were alive after death. Jesus said that the believing thief on the cross would go to paradise the day he died. Stephen the first martyr when about to die said, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit(Acts 7:59)." Hebrews 12:22-24 tells us who are in heaven, including the spirits of just men made perfect, that is, the disembodied believers from earth. This is also taught in 1 Thessalonians 4:14: "...them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him." According to 2 Corinthians 5:6-9, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Therefore, Jesus is coming with his saints and for his saints. Since there is no soul sleeping in Christ, the bodies of believers will be resurrected at the coming of the Lord. Furthermore, in the book of Revelation there are 24 elders seen in heaven as well as other men as noted in chapter 15 verse 8.
Concerning the no meat eating doctrine: It is "giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils forbidding to abstain from meats. (1Timothy 4:1,3)". The early church Christians were told regarding food to "abstain from things strangled and from blood(Acts 15:20)."Jesus said, "Eat what's set before you, and it's not what goes into the mouth that defiles a man, but what's in the heart." The Mosaic dietary laws were not brought forward into the New Testament.
Jesus taught an endless hell "where the fire is not quenched and the worm dieth not", but Ellen White taught annihilation or no hell instead. Consciousness survives death. It's safe to only follow the Lord...His sheep "know his voice and a stranger they will not follow(John 10:4, 5)."
The investigative judgment is nowhere taught in scripture. She made it up after the Second Coming did not take place in 1843. This is another made up heresy invented by Ellen White.
The U.S. in prophecy is the great eagle in Revelation 12:14, not the second beast of Revelation chapter13.
According to someone's testimony, they saw in hell the prophetess Ellen White in hell. Jesus said she is in this place for inventing heresies. She prophesied lies and still had connections with the satanists who helped [her] ministry grow. She also taught [her] members to keep the Sabbath stepping on My grace...

Christ did not wait till 1844 to enter the Most Holy, so the Investigative Judgement doctrine is false and heretical as is the teaching that Christians in the Jacob's Trouble period will cease to have Christ as Mediator, when He leaves the Temple for earth.
So there is no need to glorify the Whites as examples of Christian living.
