    Honestly I love the size of that date window. I love circle date windows because they fit more seamlessly into the dial, ESPECIALLY when put at the 6 o clockm Small, circular, and at the 6 position? Aw man, I'm loving it.

    Ordered mine on the 4th …can’t wait for it to arrival later in the year. Really happy they changed all points you raised as it was that video which made me want one but they were sold out and I’ve been checking up with them ever since 😁

    Nice to see a microbrand listening. Seems like a great introduction to automatic watches for someone just getting started collecting. It's dressy, but not overly so. It's "tool-ey" (not a word, I know, lol), but could be classed up for the right situation. Seems like a great piece for the price.

    I had my eye on the orange dial since they showed it for pre-order. Love it with an orange strap on top of it.
    Orange is the “Optimisme” color and the pop of color is fantastic.
    Thanks again for sharing my friend.

    Formex has the the most comfortable butterfly clasp w/ the microadjust IMO. Everyone else should just follow suit. I might wait for V3 for the microadjust clasp. Otherwise this is def going into the collection at some point in the future.

    Thank you Pete for going over the improvements of this watch.
    I really like Tuseno. I own their V1 Shellback blue dial, Windseeker orange & blue dials, and now waiting delivery of a V2 Shellback white dial.
    I like the date complication on my watches, and was sorry to see they didn't make the date window a tad larger. Not a deal breaker for me, and given that no matter how big the date is on a watch I need my glasses to see it, it really doesn't matter 😂😂

    I've seen a few reviews of V2 now but your footage is the best as always, so one can see now how sharply these lines on the dial are cut. I'm like you, I didn't mind the embossed rehaut numerals. I especially like the black version which actually is more of a charcoal whith some warm bronzish hues in the right lighting.
    The only thing that keeps me from ordering one is the fact I'd have to wait till end 2024, something I don't feel like going through now.

    • @PeterKotsa
      @PeterKotsa  2 месяца назад +1

      Ive never handled the black one myself, I have seen as you mentioned a charcoal finish...maybe I should have got hands on with it as it does look different
      As for the wait, it's a shame production takes a while with a lot of the brands....
      It reminds me of a man that was praying once and he was asking God for patience because he couldn't wait for things..his prayer when something like this..
      God give me patience..NOW !!!!
      😂😂😂

    It's a shame some brands are "forced" to add a date window, as apparently most people demand one. Very often dials would look much better without. Only Formex and few others aren't "ruined" by the date window, fully integrating it in the design language of their brand.

    • @benjaminvis
      @benjaminvis 2 месяца назад +1

      Thankfully this is a pretty good looking date window. Bravur does very nice dates, as do Direnzo. I agree with you that I prefer without unless done well. Here it gives me no reason to pause and I think the colour matching has had a greater positive effect than I would have thought.

    • @LandonBrainard
      @LandonBrainard 2 месяца назад +4

      I frankly don’t understand the desire to have watches that don’t have a date window. Whenever I put a dateless watch on, I always end up looking for the date on my wrist only to end up disappointed, and pull out my phone.

    • @briantartell2639
      @briantartell2639 2 месяца назад +5

      I am old school. Whenever somebody asked me what date it is, I intuitively look at my watch, not my phone. I do not own a daily-wearer without a date window. I use my watch as a valuable tool. This gate window at 6 PM is perfectly symmetrical and I think it looks rather nice!

    • @benjaminvis
      @benjaminvis 2 месяца назад

      @LandonBrainard I have both and generally prefer without date. When important, a date is something you remember. If not, there are many ways to check. And a watch is ultimately a useful adornment. That adornment oftentimes I enjoy more without a date. On this Tusenö and some others, however, I welcome it. Indeed, their Shellback I wouldn't want without it. I felt the same about several Direnzo's. It's all about aesthetics, which logically will apply less if your preference is for a tool or businesslike watch

    Such a shame they had to ruin the dial with the totally unnecessary date window just because apparently most people have no memory and need to constantly check what the date is.

    Great Review Peter, all your reviews hit points of greatness and some for needs improvement.
    I'm curious, which of two this watch or the Wise Adamascus AD7 would you recommend. Both similar looks and price.
    I would appreciate the advice.
    Cheers,

      Very good question
      I like both watches, its really a hard call. I think wearability, the Wise has the edge..only just, it seems to confirm to the wrist a little better.
      As far as design and styling, well thats a personal choice here...go with what looks good in your eyes
      Remember one has a a Sellita, the other a Miyota..that sometimes is a deciding factor 👍

    Pete, If they’re going to do a date window, do it in a better fashion? Omega Aqua Terra springs to mind. Us older people struggle to read tiny dates, really annoys me? Very nice watch but definitely a pass from me. Pity. Good review.

    Something is holding me back. It looks to be a fine watch from the finishing and movement perspective. But...there is something about the case shape and the globe like lines on the dial - do i like it or not. I just can't decide.

    I think this is as good as it can be. Your gripe about the butterfly clasp I disagree with. The clasp keeps an elegant look matching the bracelet. A folding clasp would look like a big chunk of metal ruining the elegant look of the whole piece.

      @PeterKotsa  2 месяца назад

  • @zogzog1063

    No date would be an improvement. Like GS when you have an absolutely fab dial then a 'no distraction' clean dial is better. Also when you have a collection then changing the date each time you change your watch (every day for me) is a fag. Also the lume: Geepers creepers - what is it with this lume stuff? The hands just look better without it.

      If I may butt in, I preordered the new Tuseno. Blue. The deck plank engraved lines, lume, the date window color match, and the yellow seconds hand pointer (Swedish flag callout) clinched it for me. Along with all preexisting unchanged attributes.
