- I was meant to get this video up in December 2023, however I have been extremely busy with work commitments, so here we are in January 2024...
This is my state of the watch collection for the end of 2023
Thanks for watching..
Nice collection and it was nice to see the man behind the voice. I admire your willpower to stick with just 8 pieces in your collection. I struggle to keep mine at under 20.
That’s funny, I only have one and I want a second one. But I cannot justify buying another one…I only have one wrist ahah.
And me, I own about 23 at the moment 😂
@@richardbrown809914 … and one more ( San Martin ) wanted .. hopefully 🙄
God bless you, Peter. You’re a great presence in the watch space. Wish you a great 2024.
God bless you too and thank you for the encouragement 🙏
I love your collection, not every watch, but it feels like a real human beings collection as opposed to a hedge fund manager. Feels like I can relate to you. Keep it up.
Love your collection and the fact that you cap it at 8 and then one in/one out.
Be well, Peter!
I'm doing the same but my limit is 10.
Could you maybe expand to 10 or 12.................please?
Love the collection Pete, thanks for the video.
I also have a SLA043 (no. 555) in my collection and, during the summer, it gets more wrist time than anything else.
Beautiful collection Peter
I admire your self discipline to stick to 8 watches. If only.
Keep up the good work mate
Really rounded collection Pete and love the fact that it's unique and personal to you. No snobbery..some nice mix of expensive and affordable models and plenty of variety. I'd happily wear any of them. Maybe a chronograph might be worth adding. Keep up the great work. Love the channel.
IWC is my go to Chrono 🔥
Beautiful collection, Pete. It is nice to see your face 😁 I am looking forward for new videos. Cheers
Beautiful collection and you are right…..they’re yours and they speak of
Your personality and people need to realize that. Thank you for sharing.
An absolute fantastic collection Peter & many thanks for sharing with us all. Great admiration for your Rule of 8 , parting with watches you love video is a must watch for all.
Beautiful collection, thank you for sharing. Your right the Blue BB58 looks stunning in the sun💗
Pete, what the heck! I don’t see your face for years and suddenly I see it twice in the past videos.
Not complaining… happy to see your expressions!!
Keep up with your fantastic videos. Always enjoyable. 😊
Ok, ok no more face for a while..maybe just back to the item at hand..the watches 😂
Pete - glad to see the SLA043 MAS 62 is a keeper for you. I picked one up in part based on your original review and have been thrilled with it. Looking forward to what you have coming for 2024!
Thanks Peter 🙏
Glad to see you still have the Meistersinger 👍 i had a really nice grey version & got rid of it dont know what i was thinking . Great collection 👍
Awesome collection, such beautiful pieces, but most importantly, each one was picked for a reason and not just bought because it’s popular or trendy! Keep up the good work, always look forward to your videos!
Being a watch collector is a blessing and a curse. If there was a way to wear all watches at once somehow and make it work that would be ideal lol I had to trim down to only 3 watches because I realized I favored some over others and although I loved them all I felt bad about not wearing the rest. Great video, lovely collection!
Great collection and nice video. Agree the Seiko is the best looking watch you own. Its stunning.
Also on the free straps, nobody minds RUclipsrs getting freebies. Not at all. Personally I just think reviewers should be more cognisant of the fact it is a payment - and it will obviously colour the review. If you slate a strap the freebies may stop - brands don’t want negative press. Or you sell the free watch/ straps and essentially you’ve been paid cash for a review. Again that’s grand - but own the fact your review is shaped by it and the reality you’ve invested no capital of your own in the item. It’s classed as sponsored content, appropriately, for a reason.
Hell of gift for the daughter too! And a win win for you both! Excellent.
The Tuna is probably the one watch that grew on me more than any other watch in my collecton.
Thank you Peter, you’re such a genuine person. I just smile when I watch your contents.
🙏
I’m excited to see the SLA043 is your favorite watch! Love mine, which I have on a Meraud blue tropic strap, which looks great and is very comfortable.
I think it's great to share watches with our loved ones. My youngest son always wants to wear dad's watches and sometimes he gets to try them on when he's sitting on my lap. If you pass on the Sinn think you need something with a strong pop of colour to replace it though in your collection.
A beautiful collection Pete, and oh, what a fantastic Grand Seiko you got for a gift! Happy new year 🎉
Cheers Happy new year!
Lovely video and collection. And what a surprise to see your face! I've only recently got into watch collecting and I always find myself coming back to your channel for inspiration.
Keep up the great work sir! Much love all the way from the UK :)
Thanks James..enjoy the hobby brother
Great, honest and warm video, thank for sharing
cheers
Very enjoyable video, great collection. This is the kind of footage that reminds me why I love this watch hobby so much.
100% spot on mate - Collections is very personal. It does not matter what it cost... People seem to forget that. Thank you.
Fantastic collection, Peter. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it
Cool collection. You’ve sold all my favourites of yours; the red Speedmaster racing, Hahart 417es and the Sinn 556 brown dial.
That Hanhart was never mine, I borrowed it from Define watches..TOP Piece 🔥
Lovely collection chief - that Grand Seiko is an absolute worldie. What a piece 😍
Couldn't agree more! Mesmerising and brilliantly executed
Thanks Peter. Love seeing your personal collection.
Glad you enjoyed it
Fabulous collection. Each and every piece is so well curated. Similar to you, I have grown to appreciate a limited number of watches in my collection. Who would have thought that a watch-box would have such power.
(I had wondered whether the Fortis had gone… my blue faced version has become a favourite of mine thanks to Artem and their 21mm straps. It is often the small things that give a watch charm - I am looking forward to the ‘orange’ 13th tomorrow.)
Yeah I miss that Fortis..it went to a really nice guy here in Australia..a viewer..👍👍
Thanks Peter, enjoy the 13th tomorrow bro
Awesome collection from an awesome guy. I reckon your daughter will love that Sinn, I know I’d wear it. Thanks for sharing your collection with us Pete
She saw the video last night and she said thanks dad, but I don’t think I can wear it as it won’t match with my wardrobe
Go figure…
I’ve fought really hard to resist “collecting”, and my daily worn Kinetic Seiko of 20+ years just gave up the ghost, so my research for a new watch has led me here. Love your content Peter, made even better as we’re both Aussies. As much as I like your favourite watch, I am trying to justify to myself that I “need” a pre owned Omega Planet Ocean for my next everyday watch. Keep up the great work mate.
Cheers brother..life is too short, get that preowned Omega already 😋😂
So blessed to have seen this collection
Right back at you bro
Great collection Pete. Thanks for sharing. I have to agree with your favourite watch choice, very nice indeed.
great collection. very clearly a personal one and one which as you correctly mention reflects the personality and character of the collector
Great to see the collection. The Seiko SLA043 is my favourite too. Also love the green dial Grand Seiko.
Good to see you. Enjoy those beautiful watches 👍
I love Seiko and the ones you own are some of my favorites. The Tuna is the best in my opinion. Character, an incredible look, wearable on all wrists. Incredible collection and not that ostentatious. Cool to see you again in the flesh. 😁
Wow. I love this, and especially the fact that you are so into straps!
I couldn‘t wait to see your collection..very nice..very nice to see still a sinn 556..very nice to see you..all the best for you, Peter
Thank you! You too Alex, cheers
Your daughter will love the watch..especially because it comes from Dad..
That Seiko at the end is the one... you can sell the rest :)
Beautiful collection.
Keep us entertained in 2024.
Cheers.
Its a beauty thats for sure brother 😎
Thanks for sharing your collection. The Tudor Black Bay on the Artem strap looks outstanding.
Great collection !! I Would Suggest Add a Frederique Constant Worldtimer or Manufacture Watch in your Collection .
I was waiting for this one, great video. I love the Greek heritage (Blue) shining through on your watches & jumper. Be well. Daniel Grech
It was all subconscious, not planned thats for sure. I must be Greek to the core 😂
@@PeterKotsa 🤣🤣🤣👍
The face behind the story, lovely collection, congratulations 😊
Thanks for sharing Peter, nice collection!
great solid collection! wear them in good health!
Cheers
This is one of the Best colections i've seen só far. Diferent colors, stiles and sizes
Some very nice pieces there mate 👌 thanks for sharing
Solid collection, and I’m glad there’s no Rolex. I wish watch companies would stop making 19mm lug widths. 18, 20 or 22mm is what we want. 95% of the time I want 20mm :)
Unfortunately, even the Chinese homages are starting to get in the 19mm rabbit hole. Is it a world conspiracy of strap brands? Go figure...
I think 19mm got so common that there is no point in going back.
@@BobbyTable Problem is WE will have to buy new straps... again! Or trim the old ones 😉
@@stavros_katsopr true. I have already started with buying 19mm option. I gave in, I was weak 😉
@@BobbyTable At least tell me you have a watch for that.... please!😂
Great collection. Love that Seiko! Don't own one, so I'll enjoy it vicariously thru you. Have that Artem strap on my Marathon Steel Navigator today. Cheers.
I always find it a pleasure listening to your perspective on pieces Pete and thank you brother. Love the collection (and the bond we have with our 62MAS's 😉) And if we're talking about statement pieces and Breitling, couldn't agree more. Great bargains for them out there. Aaaand I'll bang on that Tudor FXD drum until the cows come home! 🥃
You Legend...haha
I keep coming back to that FXD, but somehow keep getting distracted with everything else that catches my attention 😊😂
Be well and thanks for sharing bro 🥃
That is a super nice collection. You are such a great reviewer and bring so much joy to us.
Your face! And thanks for sharing your collection update with us
Fantastic collection Pete, thank you for sharing. I think your daughter will love your Sinn 556i yellow dial ... awesome Dad 👍
As for its potential replacement, I know you mentioned the Breitling Navitimer and a Panerai, but let me pitch one of my grail watches, which I hope to own in the next couple of years: Zenith El Primero Chronomaster Sport, white dial withe the tri-colour sub-dials, ref #03.3100.3600./69.M3100. This is a 41mm case, powered by El Primero 3600 1/10th sec automatic chronograph beating at 36K VpH (5 Hz), with a power reserve of about 60 hours. I love this watch.
Have a wonderful weekend my friend.
Nice! SLA043 still in the collection is surprising, but not surprising either.
I got one last year and it quickly zoomed up to #2 spot in my collection (behind my Pelagos) and was my most worn watch of the year.
I'd say it's a keeper for me! 😊
What a beautiful collection! Congrats!!
Great video and collection. Thanks for sharing!
Cheers, thanks for watching 👍
happy watch collecting!
Thanks for showing us. Nice line-up. I enjoyed hearing why you like the ones you have. Your daughter will flip over that Zinn 556.
Very cool to see your mainstream collection. Some very tasteful watches in there.
Love it, the GS is a great addition!
I absolutely love your Meistersinger Metris... particularly on the brown rally strap you showed.
I am also fan of the Sinn 556, particularly the white, black and brown dials.
Finally, I like the Tudor Blackbay 58 (not boring at all to me) and the Omega Aquaterra.
Such a solid collection Peter. I'm amazed by your willpower to keep only 8 watches, specially when you receive watches by the dozen for review... Cheers mate!
Its more difficult than it looks. I saw a watch yesterday and there was nothing stopping me from pulling the trigger...except the rule. 😊
Love your collection! Not a single watch in it that I wouldn't wear. Saving up for an Aquaterra right now.
Thanks Stephen 🙏
Great collection. Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for watching..
8 is a perfect # for a rotation.. 9.7 score in my book.. perfect Seikos.. love the Portuguiser🇵🇹👍.. I’m fine with the BB58.. the Meistersinger is a perfect fun watch.. a vintage diver on leather would bring it to a 9.95🥸… again, eight is great # for a rotation which shouldn’t be confused with a collection! I really don’t care about anyone’s Casio they wore in high school 🫨! 👏👏👏👏
He who lets go of a gorgeous Omega Aqua Terra like this purchases twice!! 😂
Stupid man..haha
Love that Omega aqua terra, just such a great GADA watch. That dial on your new Grand Seiko looks great too
I never realised that i hadnt been subscribed to your channel, great work Peter love the collection!
Cheers,
Larry
Thank you Larry
Cheers mate 👍
Great collection. Great watches.
Absolute stunning collection mate! And what a gift with a grand seiko GMT. Enjoy in good health!
Thank you
Thanks for sharing Pete!
👍
Very nice, though you need to get yourself a Quartz so actually know what the time is 😂
You obviously favour straps over bracelets. Straps are more comfortable but I think having an expensive watch on a bracelet sets it off, completes the package, looks the goods 😎
You are one of the best and honest watch RUclips content
So much garbage, "look at me" crap, dishonesty n hypocrisy in the watch community.
You're too kind Russell, thanks for the encouragement 🙏
Cream always rises to the top. Not holy trinity crap, crown trash and indie music🤣
nice collection thank you for sharing
I still love my first generation black dial Omega Aqua Terra which you can see at 0:16. I know you sold yours but it makes sense when you have 8 great watches. This watch is best when you only have 1 or a small number of great watches because it is so versatile.
Peter, great collection. Love that you keep the collection to 8 watches. Also great. To see the man behind the videos. For your BB58, try a bracelet from Uncle Straps. He makes excellent bracelets.
I have the Uncle Seiko bracelet for it…it’s pretty good, but still not happy
agreed, that blue Seiko is awesome.
Brilliant collection 👏😎
Nice collection & kudos to you for keeping it at 8 watches.
Yeah not really as he has another box of microbrand watches, so am not buying the “only 8 watches in the collection” furphy
I'm glad you can't get enough of the beautiful SLA043.
I've just watched the Brave Beaters video on this beauty, which confirms that a lot of people haven't understood Seiko's approach with this watch.
I'm still jealous of your Omega Aqua Terra ;-)
The Omega and Seiko are two beautiful watches for me
Satisfying..is the word that comes to mind 👌
Great SOTC 2023/2024!!! Well done sir. You can add one more while keeping 8 watches. Think of it this way... 8 watches in the box, the 9th watch always on wrist.
You're a bad influence..get away from me 😂😂
I understand the concept of a vacation watch, but for me that entails the omission of a date. The presence of a date is what makes one more conscious of schedules and makes the watch feel less like a pick-up-and-go for the pleasure of it type watch (since you have the waste time setting the date). So I find it interesting that on the one hand you like the simplicity of a one hander, but the watch has a date.
Valid point..I don't know if you noticed the watch has a cyclops on the sapphire to show up the date in a more magnified fashion
I removed it on mine 😊
So the date being a small circle can hardly be seen
Loved the variety and uniqueness you have in your collection instead of the generic SOTC’s going around on youtube with the usual expected watches. Huge fan of your channel , the watch reviews and the amazing macro shots! I would love for you to make a video on the Seiko SLA057 ,an absolutely stunning watch and it’s my favourite release from seiko in a good few years , i just know you would make that watch look even more beautiful with your videography skills , please do consider my request, thanks!
Man, I just love rhat SLA043J and that Aqua Terra. Gorgeous GADA watches Pete!
What a classy collection!
🙏
Solid. Thx Pete. This represents you. Get going 🚀
Love it! Great production here with some great watches
Thanks Harrison, just enjoying the hobby mate 👍
I have a couple of affordable under $500 Seiko watches that have been antidotes to wanting anything else (for the most part)...my SRPE93 Turtle (my favorite) and my SRPK31 Seiko 5 Sport (my everyday wear). There's just something about a Seiko design language that speaks to you on a subconscious level as if designed by a wizard with magical enchantments.
Great collection, great video! I just discovered the channel and I'm glad to be a part of this beautiful group! Greetings from Greece!
Welcome aboard! 🇬🇷💪
@@PeterKotsa whoa. I'm not sure if it was the different style of that video but whatever it was, I really enjoyed it. It seemed so genuine. Really great video. Genuinely, I loved watching that. Thank you.
Woah! You covered them all!
The Tudor Black Bay 58's dial colour is Cobalt Blue. It's an iconic 80's hue and that's why I love mine. Maybe with you appreciating the dial colour you too are unconsciously reminiscing the greatest decade of them all.
Absolutely brother..😎
I still love that MeisterSinger, I think they are such a cool way to tell the time, no stressing about what second of the day it is, just a rough idea is the best way to be in this already hectic world we live in. Good to see you're smiling face brother 🙏🏻😉
Thanks brother...be well mate 🙏
Great philosophy on collecting Pete , great collection too :)
Thank you kindly David..
First of all this is a great video and a great collection. This is my first video I've seen of yours and you've earned a new subscriber.. I love the fact that you mentioned service costs. I work in the industry and I have to say, the service costs are only rising. Honestly I think it is something that not enough people consider. If the movement is in house, it's seeming more and more common for servicing to cost the best part of $1000 - and that's not including any replacement part costs. It's something I never considered before I worked in the industry but now it's made collecting a lot easier because it means I can rule something out if the service costs are too high lol
Welcome to the channel and the sub 👍
Also thanks for sharing
Like the collection
Particularly the one hand watch, Seiko and iwc
Absolutely fantastic video and presented flawlessly. All the best from Ireland 🇮🇪 🇮🇪
Nice collection Pete.
Cheers
Great collection! I love them all especially GS
