You are welcome! Yes, the videos have two aims - one is to let you know the feature is there, especially in a release with as many new features as this one! And then the other is to get you started using it, so it can start saving you time right away. Glad this video has done both for you! Thanks! Tom
You are welcome, and thank you for the feedback and letting us know how useful you find the Slicer (and the video that goes with it ;) ). We're looking forward to seeing what everyone creates using the new tools and features. Thanks! Tom
Hallo Corona-team, thank you for the video - i got another question - i want to render a isomtry with corona. When i use the normal cinema-render its no problem when i chose a camera, but when i use corona the focuesed object appears on a complete different posistion. Do you know where the problem cames from?
Sorry to hear you are having problems - also sorry, but I don't fully understand the question. For detailed issues like this, RUclips comments are not a good place to ask, because what would benefit us most is seeing the two renders to see the differences, and also seeing screengrabs of your Corona camera settings and other scene settings. For that reason, please can you repost the issue/question on the forums (forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?board=49.0 ) or via ticket (support.chaos.com/requests/new ) with some images as mentioned so we can take a look what is going on. (I think you mean you are trying to render an isometric view, but I am not sure - seeing the images would help there :) ). Thanks! Tom
Very interesting! But it would be nice to include an "Intersect" option, in order to cut off what's outside the clipping geometry. Would it be possible?
Glad you found the video (and feature) interesting, ty! For feature requests, the development team won't see it here - please post over on the forums at forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php?board=38.0 so it can be properly considered :) Thanks! Tom
Ty for the feedback! If you mean when using a RaySwitch so that the slicer does not affect GI, you would have to override the cap with a material that used Self Illumination (with emit light off). This is because when GI is NOT affected by the slice, the inside of the wall will inevitably receive no light - because it's inside a solid wall :) So you'd have to make your cap with a material that has self illumination. This is not an issue if the RaySwitch is not used of course, then the cap will receive whatever illumination is bouncing around the scene at that point. Hope that helps! Tom
Most welcome! Just be sure Emit Light is off, and don't make it glow TOO brightly or it will look weird (well, cool in some use cases, but weird in something like this scene). Let us know how you get on! Tom
Not acquired, merged, by our decision.... and it has been a while since you used Corona, since that happened in 2017 :) For 8 we rebranded Corona to fit in with the beautiful new look that all Chaos apps have, and moved to the licensing system to enable things like Chaos Cosmos, Chaos Scatter, and future things like Chaos Cloud too, just taking our rightful place amongst the other Chaos apps! Hope that helps! Tom
Best thing to do is post under the Features Requests section of the forums, as the development team won't see any comments or requests here. Head to forum.corona-renderer.com/index.php, thanks! Tom
I am very thankful for the video tutorials.
It is a very useful feature that I wouldn't have knows it exists or how to use otherwise

Wow! This is is sick! I am mainly redshift with GPU... I can't wait to have something like this!
Thank you for the feedback! You can have it today, no need to wait - just download Corona and away you go ;) Thanks! Tom
@@ChaosCorona Using 2x RTX 2080ti. Corona is nice but I prefer bucket final render. :P

Very cool! But how can I keep the blue color of the cut without turning it black?

🤩
Amazing❤❤❤
Wish redshift had this feature
lovit!!!!!!! thank youuuuuuuuuuuu
And thank YOU for the feedback and kind words :)
looking forward to see Corona for Archicad coming back. PLEASE!
Sorry to disappoint, there are no plans to develop Corona for ARCHICAD. Tom
With lumion and twinmotion, it's not the right strategy for Corona, they need money and Corona for Archicad has a lot of competition
I Hope corona can support vrscene。3DMAX has rich resources and supports vrscene to quickly create large scenes in C4D.
Or support USD format

why is this necessary?
