Don't forget to check water pressure with a hose bib gauge and set the air pre-charge on the expansion tank to match so that the tank starts in a neutral or balanced condition between the water pressure and air pressure inside the tank.
Love your videos! Would love to hear from you what hot water tank you would recommend, what company as well as what size, I’d say, household is roughly for adults, and for children
The expansion tank does nothing to prevent the T&p valve from going off As you said the house pressure is 120 which is absurdly high The T&p valve goes off at 150psi Which pressure increases at night significantly His main issue is to replace the pressure regulator cause if not it will keep happening
I have never seen a expansion tank before in 60+ yrs. Never had one for any of my water heaters nor my parents, friends or relatives. Ate they really necessary?? I do have a well water pressure tank.

Did you recommend a pressure regulator? Would probably save the homeowner more troubles in the future.
I would've piped that tank against the wall so it could be strapped. Other than that, this is a good replacement.
Nice, we aren’t required to strap but I see what you mean
Does the expansion tank need to be supported with additional brackets?

Thanks! State water heaters are great as well as Bradford white. 50 gallon if you have a family.
Get a stainless steel one. My last one was 1985. Replaced in 2017.
Nice job , go figure a respectable plumber. God Bless
Thanks!
Can any nipple be used to attach a pipe to a water heater? Like wat u did at 1.11?
Dielectric nipples are what you should use

What do you mean
Why is it I see so many plumbers nowadays (younger guys) using pump pliers the wrong way? It’s not just you.
They make an easy strap kit for those tanks. It's not a code requirement but it's good practice.
