- Last year, the GMC announced the Medical Doctor Degree Apprenticeship Programme - a new route to medicine that would allow students to earn a wage while training to become a doctor.
This new initiative has caused a lot of division among the medical community. But how are people actually reacting to the programme?

Why are people so mad about this? Isn’t this how physicians trained before? As long as they put in the work and have the test scores, so be it.
This is a great discussion. Personally, like you said it's unknown and a risk. Also, this might sound random but could you quite the background music to your videos, it's distracting and doesn't add to the video, You channel is immensely beneficial so I hope more people tune in!
So basically you do the same MBBS while also working 9 to 5, thus makes it much harder for students. Secondly, the NHS are making the apprentices do admin and non-clinical work which other trainee doctors don't do. Thirdly, once qualified, apprentices can't work abroad thus limiting your future career goals
Apprentices can work aboard actually. You achieve the same degree as somebody doing the traditional route.

I would advise looking at the entry requirements to be sure. As far as I am aware it is only open to those who have a right to work in England or have eligible residency status
