-Unforgiven I: The world is to blame. -Unforgiven II: The people/person that I love are to blame. -Unforgiven III: I accept that I am to blame. Tell me that’s not the perfect depiction of the process of growing into an adult.
Every single one of us must come to that realization at some point. No one makes it out alive and some where between birth and death we have to make the best decisions we can and accept our mistakes. Those mistakes can and often will affect others but others mistakes may affect you but you can't control their choices, you can only control yours.
@@luzviminda795”today” it’s been like that forever but with the growth of social media and technology that allow us to know what everyone has on their mind it seems like it’s more today but it’s not true. Humans have always been that way.
This is actually my favorite part out of the three. Musically, lyrically; it just hits me deeper than the rest. Maybe I'm just that old, lame, and dramatic lol. The Day That Never Comes is another banger from this album. It's similar to One in its construction and build-up.
As much as I love The Unforgiven (and countless times I listened to it), pretty much after a couple of listens, Unforgiven 3 became my favorite of the trilogy. Like you said, the lyrics are just on a different level, and James' voice matches perfectly.
I feel like this is one of the last "great" songs James has written. He's been pretty hit or miss as a songwriter since St Anger. Far from the days of Justice and Puppets, that's for sure
@@ZombieJesus1987 I can try to guess 3 reasons why it's like that for you with Death Magnetic: slaughter at mixing & mastering, some arrangements are iffy (i.e. chorus in Judas Kiss, the whole reason the song exists, isn't as great as the riff in it isolated) and last but not least all songs are very fun to play so hearing might not be in their top priority.
Outlaw Torn, Bleeding Me, Attitude, Fixxxer.....some of the greatest Metallica songs that get overlooked by everyone. And some of them have never once been played live....which is criminal in and of itself.
The San Francisco orchestra is backing up Metallica. They did a great job. Should definitely checkout Cliff Burton the original bass player. Was a Genius that died in a tour bus accident
The S&M2 version was Fire 🔥! It's the best version. Hands down. She has to listen to both S&M 1&2 albums starting with No Leaf Clover 🍀 because yeah that's the new song unique to those albums.
From the “middle age” album: The outlaw torn, bleeding me, the house jack built, fixxxer, carpe diem baby, where the wolf things are. From the latest album, hardwired, spit out the bones
I love Metallica so much. They change my life so much. I love every song of them. From Kill 'em all to Hardwired. I saw them two times in Germany. I'm addicted of them, no matter how they have changed. They still my favorite band. 🤘
Disposable heroes, Spit out the bone, and if you want an instrumental, gotta do Anesthesia: Pulling Teeth. They have sooo many, but dont wanna overwhelm ya. One of my favorite reactors, keep up the good work.
If I had to give you 5 songs that I love, that gives you a little bit of everything, it would be these (in order of oldest to newest): 1. Four Horsemen 2. Leper Messiah 3. Fuel 4. All Nightmare Long 5. Spit Out The Bone Leper Messiah, to me, is one of Metallica's most underrated songs. Heavy as all hell.
This song was pivotal in making me a devoted Metallica fan nearly 15 years ago - the intro is stirring, the main verse has such a cool riff at its core and the solo blows my mind! Lyrically, not the strongest of the trilogy but I like the simplicity of it. All-in-all, a great song that’s very special to me and it was awesome to see you react to it for the first time.
I love your reactions. This is my personal favorite of the 3 Unforgiven’s. The last time I saw Metallica Live in Lincoln, NE on September 6, 2018, my 4th show in 4 different States with all 3 bassists, they played this for the first in like 8 years. It was their 8th Nebraska concert but the first of their career in the State Capitol City in the 37 year career at the time of the show. That show is on RUclips in it’s entirety of 2 hours and 25 minutes and you should really check that show out. I think you’d love it. A couple other kick ass songs I’d highly recommend: Of Wolf And Man, and the Covid-19 version of Blackened 2020 via Zoom. All four are at their own houses but jamming together. So bad ass Keep on Rockin’
Lyrically, you can't argue its the best of the three. The one liners are insane. Some epic level writing. Musically, two might take it for me, but 3 is just structured on so many symphonic levels that it demands the #1 spot....James is such a beast.
Cool reactions. So interesting to watch someone listen to the trilogy back-to-back-to-back when us die-bards had to wait from 1991 through 2008 to hear all 3, LOL!
My favorite is part two for reasons of memories but in musical sense I love the first one the most. This last one does not fall far from the tree from earlier ones.
please tell me if i am wrong in this depiction of the following: unforgiven- is where it all began with the childhood trauma master of puppets- is about drug addiction and how drugs are basically the puppet master pulling the strings. james battled alchol addiction and he associated his addiction with master of puppets. unforgiven2- if i am correct, he had a girlfriend or wife that left him because of his addictions but i think she may have also cheated on him as well.. not sure unforgiven3- is the final battle from within of "do i continue to blame everyone else or do i own the damage i caused in all this" if any of this is incorrect, someone please tell me
'Just a Bullet Away' is another amazing Met song, from the recording session of Death Magnetic, unfortunately didn't make the cut for the record, but was released on Beyond Magnetic.
Here are a few Metallica suggestions: 1) Battery 2) Four Horsemen 3) Blackened 4) Sanitarium 5) Disposable Heroes 6) Fuel 7) Outlaw Torn 8) The Day That Never Comes 9) Wherever I May Roam 10) Bleeding Me Sorry, May have gotten carried away, but there are so many more in Metallica’s catalogue. That’s just to scratch the surface and sprinkled in almost every album.
Amazing reaction Metallica " The day that never comes" and "Spit of thr bones" NIRVANA " Heart shaped box" and last recorder song formațion " You know you right" ALICE IN CHAINS "Nutshell unplugged" PEARL JAM "Black unplugged" and "Jeremy (oficial video)" THE CRANBERRIES "Ode to my family".... "Linger" ......" When your gone" 🤗🤗🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️
Hey girl, I really love your input and feelings reaction to all your reviews on Metallica. I have looked high and low for your reaction on one certain song from the " And Justice For All" album, called Dyer's Eve with no success... If you haven't heard this song, you are missing out on one of the heaviest, meaningful Metallica songs ever!!! I hope you are well, and I hope to see you react to this one (if you haven't already)! ♥️
Should definitely do the Cthulu trilogy by Metallica. Call of Ktulu (they spell it with a K and dropped the H for some reason), The Thing That Should Not Be and Dream No More
SO MANY GREAT Metallica songs! There are already many great recommendations in the comments. I would like to see someone react to their cover of "So What?!". For a good stretch, it was my ringtone. LOVE that song(well, Metallica's cover of it anyway). PLEASE, feel free to check it out. GREAT reaction as always. Keep up the good work! 🤘
I really think Lilly should listen and react to some Meatloaf. My favorite songs by Meatloaf are Bat Out Of Hell, Everything Louder Than Everything Else, and I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That). I really hope Lilly does a reaction on one of these and catches something that I haven't.
You should check out some newer Metallica songs from the album Hardwired to self destruct. Here comes revenge Now that we're dead Spit out the bone Moth into flame I'm not entirely sure what the popular opinion was/is for this album, but personally I loved it.
Best in the trilogy in my opinion. Mostly because it's the one I relate to most personally. I know that's cliche but even then I would not hold it in such high regard if I didn't dig the sound as well
Hi Lily. It would be great if you could do a reaction video for “Halo on Fire” off the Hardwired…to Self Destruct album that came out in 2016. James’ vocals are incredible, and the video is so awesome. It will have you wondering what exactly is happening. It’s arguably one of their best songs post St. Anger.
Some suggestions to react: - The Day that Never Comes. Don't go for music video, it distracts too much and is not so connected to song's story. Better to choose live version, for example from Quebec Magnetic show. - Orion. Pure instrumental emotional masterpiece. Has some variety of solos too, having also bass solos from legendary Cliff Burton included. - Ride the Lightning, from their 2nd album. It has some nice quite long guitar solo. Also on this, live version is good option, as you can check how they are still rocking on this year, Boston May 22, 2022. Thanks for your Metallica reactions, it's joy to see how you experience their music!

They're all great, though. For their place in time and maturity.
been waiting for this one. "The day that never comes" off this album is amazing.

You will love Bleeding Me. It's very grungy, an amazing ballad with deep lyrics. One of their best songs.
Possibly the best of that album, but not there best song.
My favourite album is AJFA, i love this thrash, this vocal etc, but when i heard Bleeding Me, it instantly became my favourite song ever
Yes, Bleeding me with Symphony is another level :)
all of the symphony songs are so much better than the originals...james just has so much more emotion in his singing in that entire live@@krazzko

The Outlaw Torn, the greatest Metallica song you've never heard of before.
I absolutely love your unbiased brand new take. you're a fresh breath into how Metallica always wanted their music to be.
How about sticking with ’Death Magnetic’ for one more? ‘The Day That Never Comes’. Love that one!
Love metallica from Portugal 🇵🇹 ❤❤❤
