Initially, I thought Sprite was awful and John was naive and nice. But in this episode, it felt more like Sprite and John have very different personalities, ideals and needs/wants. I think Sprite seems quite frank/honest and lacks a lot of tact. I think he's very misunderstood and that the editing makes it even more damning. And John was really pushy at the pub, which Sprite just went along with despite being uncomfortable. A good partner wouldn't force you to do anything even if you had prepared something especially for that night. It's strange cos they both seem to want to be together, even though their personalities really aren't suited at all- they almost seem like they're in two separate relationships in their respective minds.
