Alternative Title: How Spiders Ruined My Life
How spiders ruined my life and caused to murder a police officer because spiders support that ACAB. Jesus Christ, spiders are scarier than TikTok girls without makeup.
And ended someone else’s.
Imagine still staying up in that house after seeing the thing in day 7
I ain't staying in that house any longer than the spider webs, tops.
If that guy was smart,he'd gave ditched the house as soon as those webs appeared
Legend has it, this guy made the first PowerPoint presentation
On the technical standpoint, the reel makes no real sense for the late 50s, early 60s, unless someone has professional filming gear and a studio group. It seems more fitting to the 80s with the way it is worked with.
One could just say that someone in the 80s compiled the footage and added text from a diary they found that the man kept.
That's actually what I was assuming was going on.
@@squirleyspitmonkey3926 That is a good point, it is possible and makes somewhat more sense. Thank you.
And even then, that's pretty questionable, because film technology at the time wouldn't be able to register something THAT vividly green like at 4:07. Like, the story and lore is solid for this (even if the English is kinda wonky, but I chalk that up to the creator not being a native English speaker), but there's a lot of technical elements that throw off the immersion in a big way.
Also, home video recording just flat out did not exist in the 50s and 60s; that wouldn't become a thing until AT LEAST the 70s, but didn't become more widespread until the 80s.
@@SeanStrife maybe its been colored in by the photographer, also its possible the man was a professional photographer and had access to a camera
@@SeanStrife what caught my attention was the word itself:.video. The word existed in 1959, but it was not in common use until much later. If the viewpoint character was some sort of professional in filmmaking or broadcast journalism (as was suggested to explain his having professional grade cameras), then he might know the word, but the average guy on the street probably wouldn't.
This is a very... fridge-logic filled entry. On the one hand, yes, the origin and nature of the video is a LOT more clear. On the other, video editing in the late 50's was a very intensive process. A video like this would be more at home in the 80's. Still, as far as the narrative goes, this is one of the strongest videos of the lot.
Yeah my suspension of disbelief was strained a little bit, but I was able to be flexible with it. It's possible the guy was a hobbyist with a little extra money. If we take a little bit of liberty with its release date, he could be using a Fairchild Cinephonic Eight camera, released later in 1959 and the first camera that could record sound directly to film. It was super expensive, though.
@@BlitztheDragon I was wondering the same thing. I know there was such a thing as a handheld 8mm camera in 1959, and that there was SOME sort of videotape, but little more than that. But editing video would be an entirely other matter.
oh man, i LOVED this one. the atmosphere, the look of the film, that intense sensation of isolation, paranoia, and growing insanity...everything was just perfect. amazing, amazing job.
This series really deserves more love
5:21 college kid life.
the individual in question was arrested, but no further information on being charged, and law enforcement denied the existence of the information in this video. I think this individual is the priest of Berksaut and surrounding areas, as this currently represents the oldest/earliest references to a "savior" in the forest. (I love the spinning spiral... reminds me of the Twilight Zone and really primes a certain mood.)
also, given the nature of the crater-like hole and mechanical sounds that emanated after the individual passed out, I'm thinking the spiders may be mechanical transportation for something else. the placement of the lights speaks more to headlights than supernatural eyes, to me.
going back through these in chronological order to see what else I can see. this is an awesome series!
Not my favorite out of the bunch, but damm is it good and adds a lot to how these creatures inhabit. More lore is always good!
This was most likely just a journal or diary of a victim of the anomalous entities of Surreal Broadcast.
I was thinking that too actually!
6:27 - I’m getting Marble Hornets flashbacks.
6:27 all of the papers r references 2 things in the series, like the mother, or the circles, or the broadcast station
I love the content so far, can't wait for more videos like this! Keep up the good work
Yay cant wait to see nightmares
I am LOVING this Lovecraft energy
Ahhh, I do so love a new analog horror channel to watch
wow I didn't know recording equipment was so advanced in the late 50s
At 4:29, is that moorse code, and if so, what does it mean?
So,the guy now views the spiders as some kind of savior? This'll be interesting.
No, he views 4:09 as the savior
This is a very interesting narrative you put together. Impressive
1:58 oh hey that's my birthday.
*indeed my birthday is cursed-*
So, this photographer became the green eyed man in the other episodes.
Dude you are underrated I love all of these videos keep it up
The space spiders are not to blame. They are lovely folks and the web on the mans roof was to try and repair a crack in the tile. Its sad people blame them for so much . This man was mentally unwell and murdered a policeman before committing arson. He may have tried to blame it on the spiders but they had nothing to do with it .
So was all this created in 1959 by one guy, or was the text edited in post by someone examining notes from the guy?
Well description says it wqs found in ❔❔❔❔❔'s house so i think its made by one guy since other guy got killed
I think someone composed this from the journal or diary of the victim.
it's shocking that this channel has only 556 subscribers! oh well, 556 plus 1 including me
“Sleep just makes me more tired” girl same.
Hmmm.... I know there was such a thing as a handheld 8mm camera in 1959, and that there was SOME sort of videotape, but little more than that. But editing video would be an entirely other matter.
Your videos are so good! I love the mystery and suspense. It would make an excellent horror game, too. 🕷️🕸️❤️
If I woke up and my house was covered in webs, I'd be on the first bus away from there. xD
Amazing, love your videos!
Nice Peter Jackson ref
i imagine the person, after April, having only flashes of conscience, and still recording to have a way out of this (maybe?) curse, or state of mind control... like is a way to remember they r human.
Whatever that green thing underneath the hole, possibly different entities from those spiders.
It might be in their same side, or might be opposite.
yeah the moment i saw the 3 dots i knew sh!t was gonna go down
So, the green eyes is the wood man
What is the song at the end of the video?!
All By Myself by Aileen Stanley
@@InteriorCrocodileAlligator86 Thank you so much!
Days of insanity
Do these things turn people into more of themselves?
hmm woodcfrawler
Alternate title: the day alien spiders invaded earth
your going to berksaut
I see the eyes. They're beautiful. Everyone should see the eyes
ive dreamt of a spider like that, but instead of it killing everyone it constantly happy to help everyone.
what is that song called
Damn
Feels slightly too obvious, like, the least information the better. And it always just seems to be lights?
Still pretty good though
This gives me Survivor Type vibes.
Imo with horror...to be able to sell the feeling of terror.. you have to be sold by immersion. This like many others in the analog horror genre is disappointing. Seriously..just stop this sub genre if its just like this..1959, a guy with a video camera (if hand held and mobile analog video cameras were even commercially sold already at that time) that records sound and proper videos, decides to commit harakiri by following something blindly and gets what he deserves for it.. somehow during the whole thing, he can still edit and make an account and properly edit snipets of his close encounter even after being way past sane.. no logic involved, no rapport, stupid and un imaginative story. Your logic as a viewer rejects most of the scenarios and it breaks immersion because its just not believable.. i know stories have to cross thr boundaries of logic sometimes because its fiction, but it should not go so far
I know people have said the creator’s first language isn’t English, so it’s not their fault, but honestly the clunky text puts me off as well.
“I saw a police officer. I asked the police officer what was going on” sounds like something out of a toddler’s learn-to-read book, one where they’re teaching kids what “police officer” means.
“I woke up today to be pleasured with a vision straight up from hell” just made me laugh. Getting pleasured, eh? Nothing like a bit of morning wood!
And looping back to what you said, the bit with “I knew what I had to do because my saviour said so. May he rest in peace” is just so awkward and on-the-nose.
It’s a shame, I was really looking for another fun webseries, but between the (unintentionally) stilted text and the creatures a) frequently being in full view while b) being just Bigass Spoods, I think I’m going to have to keep looking.
@@RainWelsh my hopes are still up for this sub genre. There's a big craving out there for a good silent hill-esque type of horror.. the weird, the vintage, the old school and psychological..and imo its just not properly done with these videos and mostly leans on the weird jumpscares and nonsensical editings with no meaning. If there was a story, its too deep, edgy or non existent..id say some ok analog horrors out there now are backrooms, walten files and mandela..and thats just about it.. the others are all like this..
@@pagghr51 god, I *love* the backrooms, that one’s pretty much perfect. That first short film perfectly encapsulates the feeling of being caught in a nightmare, and everything since has been giving you the pieces without just going “take a look at my headcrabs”. Stellar work, overwhelming sense of dread is on *point*.
I’d never heard of Mandela until yesterday, and I’ve now had two recs in 24 hours for it, so I think that’s going to be my next one.
There’s Gemini home entertainment, too, which is great for me since I love cosmic horror and body horror, but that one does tiptoe over the line of “less is more” on occasion.
It's one of those giant spiders from lord of the ringd dang it..my preciuos..lol 😂🤣😅🤪
This is the weakest in the bunch
If this is the WEAKEST (I’m just starting) the others are gonna be great
Meh. Gonna be honest, not the best one I've seen.
