Thank you so much for this video.. I must have watched RUclips video for several days on how to wire a light sensing relay chicken door without no good explanation until I ran across your video. Thank you so much and deserve several thumbs 👆.
This is best when need to do something.. Explain the components how it works and how to use it... Its very helpful to those newbies like me... Atleast can share to those people who have no experience But willing to learn...thanks man
Brill. Thanks 👍 My only confusion (small point) was that I paused the vid at 5:30 to study the diagram and because you had ALREADY pencilled in the switch position, the diagram didn’t make sense as the motor would NOT have turned.....it was only afterwards when you ran through the diagram and RUBBED out and amended the switch position that it all made complete sense......thanks again
This concept of motor control by relays applies the dish satellite positioner. I met the idea on STRONG SRT series of analog satellite receiver. Thank you for sharing. Best regards MOHAMAD GHOUL
Nice video tutorial. Can You made this with Day/Night sensor (Motor Forward/reverse) ? On Day in one direction, on Night other direction. Without switch. Thanks in advance
This can be modified with the coils wired in parallel and NO1 & NC2 to Positive , NO2 & NC1 to Negative. so one command from an arduino can toggle the motor direction. Thnx 👍
I enjoyed your video and it got me thinking of a project I would like to do, but need a little help on what I need to accomplish it? I am trying to modify a winch from a hand held remote to a wireless remote. I have a two channel wireless receiver(Two positives and two negatives) but I am a little confused on what type of relay I need to be able to run and reverse the direction of the winch. Do I need: SPDT, DPDT? Do I need a 5 pin, 6 pin, or 8 pin relay? I plan on running it directly from an outlet so I know I the relay will have to be rated for 110 volts. If anyone can help me understand what I need and how to do it, I would be very greatful.
i like a design im buying, it is a Wireless Remote Switch 12V Universal 2 Channel RF Remote Control but need more max load when it comes to amps, is it possible to change the 2 relays inside and put a higher rated relay like 40a without any problems with the receiver, remote switch itself? it is max load rated at 10amps or less originally
Hello is it possible to have a Forward Reverse automatic controller, I mean a controller that does Forward and reverse automatically every 2 seconds without need of switching manually
I have an actuator I want to stay down while my car moving, however when I press on brakes I want the actuator to open/extend and when I remove.my foot from the brakes I want it to close again. Is there a way to do this with relays? Please and thank you.
can you show how to used 12v polarity on timer I like to build my green house and use DC motor to open and close let say open at 7:00 a.m and close 6:00 p.m
To Forward and Reverse a DC motor no need any circuit really, you can use a 3 position 6 pin slide switch. First 2 pins connect power,(No. 1+ and No.2-) then the 2 pins in the middle connect the 2 phase of the motor, and the last 2 pins(No.5 and No.6) connect the power from first 2 pins reversely by a small wire, 1+ connect to No.6 and No.2- connect to No.5. and done...
When the diagram is first shown the coil on the left was drawn activated at the bottom but not activated at the top. Which was wrong and confusing because you never showed neither coil connected. Which would have been drawn with the line at the bottom erased. So the drawing should have started with no line at the bottom showing no coil activated and the top as it was with both in the negative position. Then you draw the line at the bottom to the left and the video would be correct where you switch the left relay to positive.

For small DC motors like the one used in the video what you are saying is totally correct, but for big three phase motors that are used in industrial applications, having a switch connect directly to such a high current circuit could be extremely dangerous, the purpose of the video is to demonstrate the use of relays for controlling big motors
That type of motor is constant speed based on battery voltage. Normally you would not use a relay to change speed but technically you could have 2 12v batteries that are switched from parallel (12v) to series (24v) which would double the speed.
You can reverse pwm servor motor and repossition using a pulse width modulator circuit. And pwm motor like the cpu fan only itd speed can be controlled.
Thank you very much . I've been looking for this kind of set up for a long time
Thank you! I just used this schematic on a project of mine. Works great!

This will function but your battery will not last very long because the relays will always use some current.

Hi can you help me how i wire my power steps on my 2010 chevy silverado
I vant understand where u connect the medal of botan and left side relay do we need 2 battery
Can the switch be automated/replaced by a program? A timer?
so it would be really easy to use momentary buttons and add micro switches to limit travel with this circuit, thanks!!
Can this system be wired to the same power source? I need to wire everything at a 12v battery

How do you add limit switches.
Thank you.
peut-on faire la même chose avec deux transistors?
merci je vien de trouve grace a vous le schemas electrique pour l'automatisation de ma porte de mon poulailler avec LDR et fin de course
Isn’t it safer for the switch to switch the grounds rather having the load through the switch ?
Awesome video as always but why less uploads and projects
Less?

Could you identify the pin numbers in your diagram. My relay has the following numbers 87, 87a ,30, 86 & 85

yes,you can make it, but only for small motors

Can you tell main difference between a DC motor, a Servo Motor, and a Stepper Motor with advantages and disadvantages.?
Check this site . www.elprocus.com/difference-dc-motor-servo-motor-stepper-motor/
Note that the pictures are not fully correct except stepper motor..
Sir how it can be done using a single battery..?

So thanks
What is the name of the switch or tell me if we can use any switch.
5 pin relay (you need to get the voltage right)
5-Pin 12V Bosch Style Waterproof Relay Kit [Harness Socket] www.amazon.com/dp/B01MTQNJKM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_x9moFb7N7AT5H
Now you need to put a potentiometer in there So the motor stops when it hits a specific range
A double throw switch could do the same operation, but cheaper, more reliable, faster and more energy efficient.

how to speed up the motor with that relay?
That type of motor is constant speed based on battery voltage. Normally you would not use a relay to change speed but technically you could have 2 12v batteries that are switched from parallel (12v) to series (24v) which would double the speed.
please add limit switch for this connection

I made this for a piano nicholodian to replace a rotating wafer switch
sceme for Dc , can this for Ac Mr, thank
I'm looking for a circuit that does this automatically, not using a hand to flip the switch.
Why cant we use the same power source for both operating motor and for relay operating !!!
Could you make a similar video showing how to reverse a PWM motor? Thanks
You can reverse pwm servor motor and repossition using a pulse width modulator circuit. And pwm motor like the cpu fan only itd speed can be controlled.

Yes this is perfect connection
Can you make a circuit that reverses the polarity every 0.5 seconds?
You can do it with this.
@@user-zt2wc3uh1l I am talking about an oscillator circuit that does it automatically.

The switch should be ON ON the switch
There are motors with many wires come out from it.

Sry I miss read the diagram lol. Your only switching the relays not the load to the motor. Ya I’m stupid lol.
