MashaAllah, I have not heard this legendary Gazal rendition in this marvelous own Awanty personal style although hundreds of singers sang in different tones in the past. Beautiful voice but too focussed on herself rather than doing justice to this Amazing Soulful poem ... Sung by many many greats...who have been careful to Bring out the poetry rather than glorifying themselves.
Yash Chaturvedi true voice is beautiful but it missed the depth in expression specially when in the second stanza, “baat itni si tm jan lo”. It needed more stress nd emotions. I missed Madam Fareeda gi here...she sings this song so soulfully, even in this age, u get in trance of her voice.
Although i feel she has great lung power nd melodious voice.
