For people not familiar with the notation: Not in his notation but it starts off with a j.H (Jumping heavy). L, L, M, qcf+L , M, H, dash, L, L, j, L, j.c.M, L, M, qcb+M, qcf+Special+M L = Light M = Medium H = Heavy j = Jump j.c = Jump cancel (hold up as your punch lands) qcb = Quarter circle back qcf = Quarter circle forward
It's such a damn shame toriyama assassinated this character during the trunks saga and Toei isn't helping much either and on top of that, team Fourstar fanboys. The makers of this game made Yamcha the wolverine of fighterz and I'm very happy about that.
Im a tfs fanboy and I'll make fun of him all day but in og Dragonball the dude showed off some serious skill. Lile you said unfortunate the way he was done in the show
TFS's just a parody of the official material, and we've all seen how the official material has treated him since early DBZ, long before the trunks arc, so don't blame them. The Super situation is pitiful, though. They've been giving EVERYONE a time to shine but Yamcha has become a dumb meme. At least he still exists though, RIP Launch and Chiaotzu.
The Truth Oh look another fucking idiot, because someone likes Tfs, they are not a dbz fan, also he didn't even say that Yamcha was the only useless one. This is for both of your damn comments about Izzy and Hip.
Ty for the Yamcha combo's and strat's did not expect to become a Yamcha player but man hes too good to pass up in this game! Even his assist is amazing for team combo's!
yamcha is indeed good i had a lot of trouble fighting him online but did find a few tricks against his mixups for example instead of guessing or mashing in middle of his wolf fang special you can just jump avoiding all out comes
Blackguy338, Real talk. I decided to main him when I saw his trailer. When I was in the middle of doing his combo challenge, I had to get up and leave for a minute cause dude was so raw, lol. Yamcha is sick. Gonna do what I can to get really good and stylish with him.
Im playing Yamcha as my main and I love the character! is super fast, great moves and the Wolf super is great! btw maaaan that was brutal you destroyed the other guy in that corner !
IMPORTANT: Wolf Fang Fist can also be cancelled with a backstep by holding back and pressing the Special Attack button. Also, you can add a cross-up by pressing the Special Attack button anytime between the three different phases of Wolf Fang Fist. This second cross-up will allow you to preform ANY other attack, such as another Wolf Fang Fist
Beam assists likr from Goku/Black, Tenshinhan, etc can make for some HELLA confusing mixups. Call beam assist during your wolf fang fist and then cross up, backstep, or just continue pressure. Medium wolf fang fist+beam assist is even more fun. Confuse the fuck outta them with that teleporting wolf fang fist and the cross up. Call the beam early or delay it a little and then cross them up. Or just don't cross them up at all. Experiment with this. It's amazing.
Thanks for the vid man. I gravitated towards Yamcha right away. It was useful for me to see how you were timing your assists too to open the opponent up for more satisfying Yamcha destruction!
Yamcha the only character I never ever gonna let go on my team. Playing with him since the game comes out and I came here to sharp some of his combos thanks
If you have someone who has a beam assist (Like Goku or Goku Black) and use their assist after the s.L, s.L, s.M string (But before you do L or M Wolf Fang Fist) then it becomes uninterruptable (You can time it to make it a true blockstring too) regardless of what side you pick
People who do more fighting games using letters like a, b, c, d for their light, medium, heavy, special. Its easier for them to understand. As long as you can understand what he means you have nothing to complain about.
Except that's not actually true. The only games that use ABC notation are mostly Blazblue and doujin-style anime fighters. LMHS is the standard for MvC3, the game that DBFZ is most similar to, and is actually more practical since using A for light attack can confuse people since A usually stands for Assist. LMHS is already the most common notation for DBFZ, and calling it ABCD is just weird when the game itself NEVER refers to those buttons as such, not to mention how bad it is if you're starting out on an Xbox pad. Being unable to understand isn't the only thing to complain about here. It's just a worse notation that's harder to read.
I am still totally confused by the ABCD stuff and I've been playing fighting games for ages. I wayyy prefer LMHS. Hell, give me "jab", "strong", "fierce" over ABCD. What I do right now is copy paste the combo and change the buttons names to read it, so I don't mess it up. I get it that players of their other games (blazblue, guiltygear) are used to this button names, but from the additively biased view of someone coming from other games (like street fighter), I would at the very least ask for a second line? Pretty please? Just write both? D:
Another vote for LMHS notation. I understand the reasoning for ABCD for a subset of experienced players, but LMHS is almost universally understood and doesn't require "translating." L - Light, M - Medium, H - Heavy and S - Special is instantly understood just by the letters involved. Having to translate A into Light, C into Heavy, etc., is an unnecessary extra step, even if it's a relatively simple one.
Can someone type this out in Xbox controllers :p -> 5a 5a 5b 236a, b, c dash 5a 5a j j.a j.b dj j.a j.b j.214b 236a+b - also i'd love to see some defence/counter vids !
There's also that half of his moves are frame traps, 5L>5M, 5M>5H, 236L>(M), as well as the ability to retreat from blocked rekkas with 236L>(4S) or even more crossup with 236L>(S)>etc
jmcrofts Can you pleeease do more of these character-specific videos? I enjoyed this so much. Still quite new to the game and for me it feels like all characters have more or less the same combos (looking at that jump cancel a,b airial combos)... I would like to know the pros and cons of each character and in my opinion you did a beautiful job of showing Yamchas mix-up capabilities!
To add to this video, I found Yamcha to be a good anchor, not a point. He NEEDS meter to get any kind of decent damage. Using him as a point is a bad idea because he has no meter and when he gets it, he's going to use it immediately so the other characters don't get any of it. He also has an amazing assist, and if you use him as a point you aren't taking advantage of that. Just so you know, I'm talking about team order. Point is the first character, mid is the second, anchor is the third.
Hey, im new to these kinds of fighters and im having problems with setting up combos and when to swing for one. Basically im not sure how to approach or how I should go ahead with starting things in a neutral phase. An example is how to approach with ssgss goku in order to get a hit with his short range on his light attack. I would greatly appreciate any kind of help!
Yeah, yamcha is owkey beast. Everyone is filling their teams with super saiyans, but overlooking such a solid character. WFF is awesome for getting in, and the aerial one is great for setting up supers because M or H version is a hard knockdown. He's really fun.
Man.... I just wanna say.. youtube is so mean to me xD everytime it recommends me a "Yamcha tech, combos, mixups, preassure guide" and I get all excited and then see the date and its 6 years old... GOD DAMN IT
I have noticed after doing this combo repeated times that if right after you do your heavy of you quarter circle forward and dash to do your light, light if you do light into a medium them into the jumping cbo you get about 140 extra DMG. I found it cool but choose to not use it if you don't want to, thought I would let you all know
I don't know if someone can help me but I can get the combo done, but the super dosn't add to the combo. It just stops at 30 and then does 6 combo with the super. Edit: I just once achieve doing the 36 combo alltogether, maybe my timing it's awful. When I rush it I do a Dragon Rush instead of the super.
I kinda want to try using a fight stick, it looks like you'd have more input control. Been using the pad and make loads of mistakes like accidentally jumping....
What do you think about instant wolf fang flash, immediately cancelling into flash from the opener? It can hit from full screen and considering the speed I would think it's not easy to react to. Just not the easiest thing to pull off consistently.
Dang this is a super helpful video! Hearing about the strategy / gameplan is really informative for new fighting game players like me. Are you planning on doing more with other characters?
Idk how much experience you gave in the game but do Gotenks, or if you can do this video for like every character? Thanks btw, learning a lot watching your vids
Subbed off of the strenght of these DbFz vids... will you do a tier list? Obviously it will be your opinion but i think hit yamcha and goku black are top tier
I dont know if someone already found this. Found out for yamcha if you land a standing medium or down medium, a down heavy is confirmed With this you can get a good amount of damage in the air without using bar with L M j.c. L M qcbM
I'm enjoying Yamcha and have gotten pretty good with him but am having trouble with a solid team. I'm running him with 16 who is Solid just looking for a Third, I'm thinking a saiyan or someone with an air super any suggestions?
Or vegeta blue. if you use his kick special then vanish you can use his command grab to bring him back to the ground. Then you can dump meter into your opponent
Since he doesn't have an air smash extender, would it be wiser to use his 2H on the ground instead to launch your combos, and just save the WFF and the meter required for the juggle for block pressure/resets? Just a thought, since I haven't been able to put much of any time in this game yet to know much.
For my team, I have yamcha and Gohan so far. For my third pick im thinking of Tien. But would he have a good link up with adult Gohan and yamcha? And overall would that be a good team? Im pretty much trying to find a good team for yamcha.
Nice video on Yamcha, it feels much easier for me at least to input qcf and qcb in this game compared to Tekken 7 which is weird, also what platform are u playing on?
ST33ZY In Tekken 7 there is very little input leniency on attack motions, and often in Tekken a qcf motion is actually used to perform a crouch dash which you can do the move out of at any time by simply pushing the button.
Dude you are so freaking good at this fighting games and the way you explain everything its so clear, thanks to you I was able to rank super sayayin and I am going for ssj2 rank and btw I like the way you write the combos cuz it is standard and not specific for any console, kit up the good work and if you have an xbox one hit me up my user is holloxnder
I want to say to you something Jmcrofts, you can actually follow up le divekick of Yamcha into wolfang fist, it combos on hit ! it's looking like a cancel, and you cannot combo into jabs for example. ( sorry my english is bad )
Combo scaling in this game is really annoying, if instead of you doing j.a j.b dj j.a j.b (which is what everyone does for basic combos universally) I think its more damage to just do j.b dj j.b which just frustrates me, because then the combo's look more boring but give you more damage (at the cost of a tiny bit less of meter gain, which isn't even worth it for the extra damage you get) On some character the difference from doing a combo with nothing but Medium attacks and no Light attacks is actually a lot, for some its like 100 damage, but for others its like 500 its crazy I'll have to do some more testing but nice to see a Yamcha player
Scales your combo a bunch if you start with a Light. But yeah with Yamcha you can literally just do cr. B, B, J.B, DJ.B, QCB.B, OTG Super (Spirit Ball or Neo WFF) and does off the top of my head around 4000+? But the hard part is doing it online where opponents can predict your gonna go for lows or can just hit you with a faster attack then your cr. B.
I can't for the life of me get the dash in time. I don't know what to do. I get the jumping heavy then 5L,5L,5M,236L,L,H and then I fail dash, or it comes late. Any advice?
jmcrofts thanks, that was it. I'm now getting it maybe 50/50. But now after the first jab or two I cannot jump cancel into the next punch. I'm doing 5L,5L,9L but Yamcha never jumps, I'm a doing something wrong?
Not in his notation but it starts off with a j.H (Jumping heavy). L, L, M, qcf+L , M, H, dash, L, L, j, L, j.c.M, L, M, qcb+M, qcf+Special L = Light M = Medium H = Heavy j = Jump j.c = Jump cancel (hold up as your punch lands) qcb = Quarter circle back qcf = Quarter circle forward
Numbers are the position of your controller (5 is neutral/ no direction, 1 is down and back, 6 is forward, etc.) and j is a jump attack (j.a is aerial light and/or to jump cancel into an attack)
jmcrofts thanks - I'm having trouble stringing in the jump attacks after the first Wolf Fang Flash since the dummy always techs before I can reach them with a dash. Am I doing something wrong or is it no longer possible to catch them post patch?
The notation in the description isn't exclusive to a control scheme. The numbers refer to what direction to push the control stick (or d-pad, whatever you're using to move your character). a refers to light attack, b refers to medium, c refers to heavy (at least that's what I'm assuming, I use a different notation personally). "j.a" for example mean a light attack while in the air. dj mean double jump. I think you get the idea. I'm not sure if I got his notation right (I'd like to see what he says about it) but my point is that the combo in the description doesn't pertain to a specific control scheme. Edit: Just realized he posted another video for the combos and how to read what he posted.
on a number pad (check your keyboaard) the notations on the keyboard correlate to the controller. For example the attack: "2a 5a" down light attack, standing light attack... he made a video better explaining it
X, X, Y, qcf X-Y-B, Dash, X, X, Jump, Jumping X, Jumping Y, Double Jump forward, Jump X, Jump Y, qcb Y, Wait to Land, qcf X+Y(RB/Dragon Rush) qcf = Quarter Circle Forward or Down, Down-Forward, Forward, Hadoken, etc. For Xbox controls (I can do it again if you want PS4 or something else)
A qcf is a quarter circle. Think of moving your D-Pad from 0:30 to 0:15[think of a cloak] in a quarter of a circle, Down, Down+Forward, Forward in one full motion. Also when someone says forward its always in the direction of the enemy. vice versa with qcb (Quarter Circle Back, Down, Down+Back, Back, 0:30 to 0:45) Square, Square, Triangle, qcf Square, Triangle, Circle, Dash (double tap forward), Square, Square, Jump, Square in the Air, Triangle in the Air, Double jump towards enemy, Square in the Air, Triangle in the Air, qcb, Wait to Land, qcf Square + Triangle (Or Dragon Rush button R1)
For people not familiar with the notation:
Not in his notation but it starts off with a j.H (Jumping heavy).
L, L, M, qcf+L , M, H, dash, L, L, j, L, j.c.M, L, M, qcb+M, qcf+Special+M
L = Light
M = Medium
H = Heavy
j = Jump
j.c = Jump cancel (hold up as your punch lands)
qcb = Quarter circle back
qcf = Quarter circle forward
Thanks for the translation
ExilesAMVs thanks
ExilesAMVs thankyou im still trying to learn anime fighting games annotations
ExilesAMVs lol ur an angel lmfao i was lost as fuck
And 5a,5b, 236a,b and c bro?
Me: wow, that looked like it took some time to master, damn. nice.
"...so that's a basic combo."
NANI!?
Welcome in fighting games kiddo
Fantii644 Lol that’s amazing, fighting games really do feel super rewarding
A.T FGC bro howwww

Eclipse
Yamcha is definitely Wolverine XD
He even has the dive kick
Lmao ffs. xD
The Truth Oh look another fucking idiot, because someone likes Tfs, they are not a dbz fan, also he didn't even say that Yamcha was the only useless one. This is for both of your damn comments about Izzy and Hip.
My boi yamcha, finally...finally. He's a SAVAGE
Ty for the Yamcha combo's and strat's did not expect to become a Yamcha player but man hes too good to pass up in this game! Even his assist is amazing for team combo's!
Got yourself a sub man. Some of the best dragon ball fighter content I’ve found on RUclips.
yamcha is indeed good i had a lot of trouble fighting him online but did find a few tricks against his mixups for example instead of guessing or mashing in middle of his wolf fang special you can just jump avoiding all out comes
I love the commentating and match. It was so informative and friendly, you're like the Bob Ross of fighting games. Props to you, sir.
I like how this game shows connection quality in delayed frames.
Im so hyped that there are people who are enjoying yamcha besides myself, i've wanted main him since he was announced. Bruh is underrated
Blackguy338 bro personally I think Yamcha is probably one of the best character in the game.
Mario G yeah in dragonball budokai tenkaichi 2 i play yamcha thr most
The other player was probably new. Or young. Or drunk. Or high.

Armistice thanks man
Wow so incredibly "basic"
No but seriously thank u
What a legend
What u mean by double tap dpad?
Well I guess you meant double left pad
Yamcha the only character I never ever gonna let go on my team. Playing with him since the game comes out and I came here to sharp some of his combos thanks
“I am no longer the weakling you think I am” when I first saw that when I was playing Yamaha a was so proud

Mharti Mcdonald i disagree. I use him as a point. I use him as a battery char
He stacks up the meter for my Goku amd Gohan to spend :)
Forward dash and backward dash are good tools to do so
Can you make a tutorial for tien pls!!
Thumb & SUB!! PLZ do the next characters combos. Your DBZ fighter vids really insane!
I’m having trouble getting that dash in to connect that 5a. Any suggestions?
After the wolf gang fist I can’t connect a combo cause he recover mid air
I find it really hard to follow up after that heavy wolf fang fist, i cant close the gap in time
Yeah, yamcha is owkey beast. Everyone is filling their teams with super saiyans, but overlooking such a solid character. WFF is awesome for getting in, and the aerial one is great for setting up supers because M or H version is a hard knockdown. He's really fun.
HalozillaEX He is one of the best characters in the game.
i get stuck in the dash part of the bnb. After the 236 a,b and c, the enemy gets thrown into the air, then when you have to dash, it never works.
Man.... I just wanna say.. youtube is so mean to me xD everytime it recommends me a "Yamcha tech, combos, mixups, preassure guide" and I get all excited and then see the date and its 6 years old... GOD DAMN IT
Yamcha is the Goat.
This was really helpful! Just subscribed.
Yamcha is probably my third favorite character in this game.
It all begun at this very moment
I have noticed after doing this combo repeated times that if right after you do your heavy of you quarter circle forward and dash to do your light, light if you do light into a medium them into the jumping cbo you get about 140 extra DMG. I found it cool but choose to not use it if you don't want to, thought I would let you all know
Great video. Simple and applicable stuff!
Nice. Once you cover all the characters you want, it would be awesome if you speak about team synergy and stuff

Dang this is a super helpful video! Hearing about the strategy / gameplan is really informative for new fighting game players like me. Are you planning on doing more with other characters?
Please do trunks next.
If your careful with your placement with spirit ball you can go into neo wolf fang fist
Idk how much experience you gave in the game but do Gotenks, or if you can do this video for like every character? Thanks btw, learning a lot watching your vids
anyone have an easy setup to practice the second half of the combo? I've tried setting the ai to jump but its not exactly the same.
Why not just use the first part of the combo? Can't get much better than that.
Im new in foghting games, can you make a video about defense? 🤓
Watch dotodoya and jm crafts videos and learn about overhead n more
Turn on button inputs please
Subbed off of the strenght of these DbFz vids... will you do a tier list? Obviously it will be your opinion but i think hit yamcha and goku black are top tier
I'm doing fine one the first parts of the combo, but for some reason im really struggling with the j.c M
(when im doing the jump the medium never seems to land)
Hey I play on Xbox and I have no idea how he did this can someone explain to me the dbfz lingo for Xbox?
Im new to fighting games but how do you do different levels of supers?
Can someone tell me what the description means for PS4? I don't speak fighting game...
I dont know if someone already found this. Found out for yamcha if you land a standing medium or down medium, a down heavy is confirmed
With this you can get a good amount of damage in the air without using bar with L M j.c. L M qcbM
I'm enjoying Yamcha and have gotten pretty good with him but am having trouble with a solid team. I'm running him with 16 who is Solid just looking for a Third, I'm thinking a saiyan or someone with an air super any suggestions?
try frieza man if you are looking for a good character with range and good upclose attacks his supers are best used up in the air as well
Or vegeta blue. if you use his kick special then vanish you can use his command grab to bring him back to the ground. Then you can dump meter into your opponent
I’m rockin Yamaha 16 and kid buu
Anyone got advice for how to get the first 5a after the dash? Seems cells feet hit the ground just as I’m there or something.
FYI: cell is the training dummy I’m fighting 😂 don’t know why I thought that Info was necessary
Thanks for the tips bro.
As an aside. Anime fighter notations can be hella confusing to a Tekken player lmao
Great tutorial
Since he doesn't have an air smash extender, would it be wiser to use his 2H on the ground instead to launch your combos, and just save the WFF and the meter required for the juggle for block pressure/resets? Just a thought, since I haven't been able to put much of any time in this game yet to know much.
yup in fact i've started doing this in my ranked videos
Been practicing for a long time and can't get that fucking dash on time!!😡
Subbed bro nice tutorial! Please continue with Tien and Krillin!
Is the hit after the wolf fang fist affected if they recover? I cant get the timing right at all. I have the ai set to random recovery
If you do it right they won't be able to recover out of it. The timing is tight
jmcrofts any tips? I tried for hours and couldn't get it consistently
For my team, I have yamcha and Gohan so far. For my third pick im thinking of Tien. But would he have a good link up with adult Gohan and yamcha? And overall would that be a good team? Im pretty much trying to find a good team for yamcha.

Yo what about Hit, Adult Gohan or Android 16 but thanks for the videos I missed you a while ago
I want to say to you something Jmcrofts, you can actually follow up le divekick of Yamcha into wolfang fist, it combos on hit ! it's looking like a cancel, and you cannot combo into jabs for example. ( sorry my english is bad )
Combo scaling in this game is really annoying, if instead of you doing j.a j.b dj j.a j.b (which is what everyone does for basic combos universally) I think its more damage to just do j.b dj j.b which just frustrates me, because then the combo's look more boring but give you more damage (at the cost of a tiny bit less of meter gain, which isn't even worth it for the extra damage you get)
On some character the difference from doing a combo with nothing but Medium attacks and no Light attacks is actually a lot, for some its like 100 damage, but for others its like 500 its crazy
I'll have to do some more testing but nice to see a Yamcha player
Any advice?
You have to do it faster than you'd think after the wolf fist. It's by far the hardest part of the combo but it'll come with practice
jmcrofts thanks, that was it. I'm now getting it maybe 50/50.
But now after the first jab or two I cannot jump cancel into the next punch. I'm doing 5L,5L,9L but Yamcha never jumps, I'm a doing something wrong?
Make sure that you let the animation finish, once you're on the other side standing still for less than half a second, then dash.
Nice vid. Wanted to play with yamcha in my team
Is his jump heavy an overhead? I haven't played in a while and need to check.
All jumping attacks hit overhead
jmcrofts Thank you lots dude. I didnt know that.
What is A,B,C,D?
Yamcha and Tien for life
damn i want to play him with short hair like in the cell games
Can you use the 1,2,3,4 notations?
Ellis Cofield Ikr the abc annotations bothers me so much everyone for this game uses LMHS, but even I'd prefer 1234
the GAME also used lmhs notation. so there's that.
Can we get one for vegeta please?
surely someone is now drawing a Yamcha X Frieza doujinshi
Anyone have these inputs in a language I can understand?
Not in his notation but it starts off with a j.H (Jumping heavy).
L, L, M, qcf+L , M, H, dash, L, L, j, L, j.c.M, L, M, qcb+M, qcf+Special
L = Light
M = Medium
H = Heavy
j = Jump
j.c = Jump cancel (hold up as your punch lands)
qcb = Quarter circle back
qcf = Quarter circle forward
Can use regular annotations not the Fighterz
What do the numbers mean in the combo transcript?
EDIT: Also the J's?
Numbers are the position of your controller (5 is neutral/ no direction, 1 is down and back, 6 is forward, etc.) and j is a jump attack (j.a is aerial light and/or to jump cancel into an attack)
When you think about the numbers, think about the number pads on keyboards.
Cheers bro
Like what is a b c
Try 5L 5L 2M 5M j as an opener as well. Leads into air shit.
I can't block and it takes button mashing for me to do a super. I fucking suck.
What do the Js mean?
Jump
jmcrofts thanks - I'm having trouble stringing in the jump attacks after the first Wolf Fang Flash since the dummy always techs before I can reach them with a dash. Am I doing something wrong or is it no longer possible to catch them post patch?
When Jim wasn’t a try hard
Please revisit this guide please!!!!!!!
yamcha is one of the
more striking characters and better personality! even more than goku !!
As someone who played a lot of Mortal Kombat I find myself struggling with the block system in the game. I know it’s pretty common but I’m a scrub :P
Don't feel bad. Everyone that doesn't play mortal combat struggles to get used to the block button in that game too. Its all relative.
Ive always hated the block button in mk.
ME TOO! I'm constantly getting bodied because there's no block button
If it makes you feel any better, any 2D fighter player has a fuck of a time holding a button to block
You should record your commentary in post so we don't have to hear your buttons.
my B&B for yamcha would go like this actually
Air dash>aH>cM>M>aL>aM>jump>aL>aM>aH>SnapVanish>GaleWFF>SpiritBall/NeoWFF
If anyone's wondering the a stands for aerial and c stands for crouching.
I tried to do this combo in training with air dodging on and it dropped ever time
You're not doing it fast enough.
The description made the combo more complicated than it actually is.
I'd stick to using terms and imputs every fighting game player knows next time.
Yall are sleeping on trunks and majin buu...
Taylor M Majin Buu is crazy.
They need to remove the scaling on his wolf dang fist, if you use in combos they end up doing crap damage
that guy played like Sean Schemmel #roasteeeeeed
these vids never help since i use a controller and none of the combo things in the description makes no sense to me.
Edit: Just realized he posted another video for the combos and how to read what he posted.
maikai196 ooohh okay. i thought it was for joysticks lmao
Pharaoh M check out his other video on explaining the combo notations ruclips.net/video/lXQO_-eyQWY/видео.html
maikai196 how does the number colelate to the direction?
on a number pad (check your keyboaard) the notations on the keyboard correlate to the controller. For example the attack: "2a 5a" down light attack, standing light attack... he made a video better explaining it
Hoping for Gohan and Trunks now :D
Yamcha have Ultra Instinct in this game Confirmed Kappa
Thanks man, im main yamcha.
Can someone translate the combo transcription to English for me?
X, X, Y, qcf X-Y-B, Dash, X, X, Jump, Jumping X, Jumping Y, Double Jump forward, Jump X, Jump Y, qcb Y, Wait to Land, qcf X+Y(RB/Dragon Rush) qcf = Quarter Circle Forward or Down, Down-Forward, Forward, Hadoken, etc. For Xbox controls (I can do it again if you want PS4 or something else)
Ps4 would be helpful and what’s qcf? Also thanks anyway I’ve played fighting games a lot but never rly understood the terms
A qcf is a quarter circle. Think of moving your D-Pad from 0:30 to 0:15[think of a cloak] in a quarter of a circle, Down, Down+Forward, Forward in one full motion. Also when someone says forward its always in the direction of the enemy. vice versa with qcb (Quarter Circle Back, Down, Down+Back, Back, 0:30 to 0:45)
Square, Square, Triangle, qcf Square, Triangle, Circle, Dash (double tap forward), Square, Square, Jump, Square in the Air, Triangle in the Air, Double jump towards enemy, Square in the Air, Triangle in the Air, qcb, Wait to Land, qcf Square + Triangle (Or Dragon Rush button R1)
