We buy everything and that is what has lead us to having the toy inventory we have! Today we have a toy store regular, Lane, who sells us a vintage Spider-Man Bank, some McFarlane Toys, Wonder Woman Pepsi glasses, a Robocop ED 209, and a few more things!
We also unbox the new Christopher Reeve Superman from Sideshow Toys and give our honest opinion on it. For Ryan, he is the one and only Superman!
We also take you into the back again to show you some rare MOTU Night Stalker, and Stridors!

Christopher Reeve's portrayal of Superman is widely regarded as one of the greatest performances in superhero film history. His performance as the Man of Steel set the standard for all subsequent portrayals of the character and cemented his place as an icon in pop culture history. In this article, we will explore what made Christopher Reeve's portrayal of Superman so special and why it still resonates with audiences today.
Christopher Reeve was a relatively unknown actor when he was cast as Superman in the 1978 film directed by Richard Donner. However, he quickly won over audiences with his charming, charismatic portrayal of the Man of Steel. Reeve's Superman was a hero who was both powerful and vulnerable, embodying the best qualities of humanity while also standing apart as something more.
One of the defining elements of Reeve's portrayal of Superman was his commitment to the physicality of the role. He underwent an intense physical transformation, bulking up his already impressive physique to embody the physical presence of the character. Reeve's Superman was not just a symbol of hope and justice, but also a formidable physical presence capable of standing up to any threat.
Reeve's performance as Superman was not only beloved by audiences, but also had a lasting impact on the superhero genre. His portrayal of the character set the standard for all subsequent portrayals of Superman, and his influence can still be felt in superhero films today.

What’s the best toy trade you’ve been a part of!?
Lobby swap at Retro Toy Con is always a great time!
@@GAGNE_VR1 yes sir!
My favorite Toy Federation purchase was the Jurassic Park The Lost World Mobile Command Center w/box that came in just before last Christmas. It ended up being the center piece gift for my son Connor that year.
@@davidjoswick1610 that’s awesome!
For me it would be finding that "one" toy which I might have completely forgotten what it was called or who made it, and no one could seem to recall it either. You can picture it in your head and describe it all you want but you think it's just lost to time maybe. After you've given up hope, and accidentally stumble upon it (in my case literally) years later. "YES! This is it!" It just brings a rush of nostalgic memories flooding back when you see that toy again.
(FYI - I was searching for the "Flash Force 2000" line for about 7 years but neither I nor anyone could remember this obscure minimal run Matchbox set)
Ryan was the toy boy now he has become the
Amazing toy man!!!!!!
Thank you sir! Do what you love!
Also love that it’s already high quality and professional!
Thank you! That was important to us! That’s why we hired a documentary filmmaker to produce it.
How dare you guys instantly become one of the best toy YT channels out there, thanks for the content and I hope to visit your store one day in person.
Best shop! Love the new channel. From a local who will be in later today haha.
Ha! Thanks for the compliment! Looking forward to seeing you!
I too always considered the Christopher Reeve portrayal as THE iconic Superman. That is an absolutely amazing Superman! Incredible detail and the quality of the material looks extremely nice. (judging from a video of course) 😁
It is nice. Christopher Reeve may be THE Superman… but, also, he may not be. #HenryCavill
@@toyfederation Henry Cavill plays (played?) a wonderful Superman too. Heck, I even liked Brandon Routh but I often get a negative reaction most times when I bring up his version.
@@christopherjohnson8743 they’re both great! And Spacey as Lex! Wow!
That statue really is an astonishing likeness to the late Christopher Reeve. The artist probably had a number of different expressions to choose from for the face, but the one that was ultimately chosen is very nice.
Christopher Reeves and Brandon Routh are my favorite movie supermen.
Great video! Love the Christopher Reeve superman!! My personal favorite to see was ED-209!!. Still can't believe how brutal robocop is!! Dead or alive, you're coming with me!!
It has two of the most brutal on-screen deaths in cinema history! And another Reeve fan!
Great show!! Can't wait for the next one!
Thanks so much! We were worried not having any heavy hitter toys for this one may make some upset. This was more of a normal day in the store.
All of the spoken audio was nice and clear and level. the background music was very subtle which is great in my opinion I feel like you guys kind of need of intro maybe even an outro maybe shoot a couple episodes and show what's coming with the next episode as an outro
Thanks for the kind words! We realized early on if we were going to do a youtube channel we would want something professionally done. Glad it's being noticed!
Another great video you keep making them and I’ll keep watching them
Yes sir! Every Saturday! Let us know what you like and what you want to see more of! Glad to know people are sticking around even when we don’t have the heavy hitting toys in an episode!
I come to Greenville all the time with work, really need to get over to the store!
Yes! Please come see us!
My favorite toy store! I’ve done my fair share of trade ins here. Keep up the cool videos guys!
Thanks and we appreciate it!
So happy to see you guys putting out content like this! Can't wait for more and I really hope it blows up, this is top quality stuff
Well, if you share it with your friends and on your social it will help us out a lot and we will be very grateful! So thankful for our loyal followers!
@Toy Federation Already did! Getting the word out as much as I can 👍🏽
@@QuaySongz78 yes! Love it! You’re the best!
I just added to your awesome selection. You should've dubbed my voice with that Destro guy.
Awesome
This episode was super cool.
You think so!?!?
I need that Spider-Man bank to go with my hulk bank!
Come and get it!
These videos are great and This guy is a star. This show be a show on TV. I'd watch it 100%
Fingers crossed!
Love the format of your videos. It's nice how you guys are almost putting together a tv show on your own. Also you gotta get Devin in more for Joe trivia.
Love your new channel!!! Great episode!
Thanks so much! Make sure to check out the other two! And new ones every Saturday
Another great episode!!
Thanks so much! That means a lot to us! We love that people are enjoying it and sharing it with their friends! Feel free to tell us what you like and what you’d like to see more of!
I guess you never know what's going to come in the door. I'm not a Lego guy, but that Prime was really cool.
Careful. That’s how the toys get you. Soon you’ll be collecting legos!
@@toyfederation negative lol.
@@ovMAVERICKvo hahaha. Hard no huh?
I could honestly watch this channel all day. You guys are really onto something :-)
Thank you so much!
If you bing all the episodes they have it gets you alittle over a half a day, I know, I did it last Saturday lol. Really good show
@@Jordan__Sloan Really? Wow!
Love that Ronin standee. Never seen one like that.
Yea! It’s pretty amazing! Trying to find a place in the store for it!
I saw it at Retro-Toy Con
Thank you Christopher Reeve for making us truly believe a man could fly
Another Superman Reeve fan!
Keep making these great videos!
Thank you! We will try out best!
ALWAYS SOOOO COOOOOL!!!!!!🤣!!!!!!!!
Beautiful Superman statue 🔥🔥🔥
Ryan reminds me of the Tom Hanks character in the movie Big. I've been binge-watching your videos. Keep up the good work!
Thank you!
7:46 old school banks were cool for saving money because when you decide to cash out the bank is ruined. You would just smash old ceramic banks.
Ha yea
All those totes on the ground from that massive trade looked like a Retro-Toy Convention lobby swap.
The production is great. Y'all make it feel like a real tv show. Keep up with the background tunes. Not bad
It is a real tv show! hahaha
@6:43 The first time in HISTORY a toy collector has said those words 🙂😎
I stumbled on some jayce and the wheeled warriors at a goodwill last year i had never heard of them or seen them before that. I believe its a super ba toy line i think you should cover them on an episode.??? It would make great content.
Oh!? Maybe we should! Come to the store and show us! Haha
Wow. That Superman statue is phenomenal. I am a huge Christopher Reeve fan he’s done so much for people with spinal cord injuries. His persistence and determination of living in a wheelchair helped me to cope with my accident. I need to find this statue. I dont have any Sideshow pieces this is the only one i need. How much is it and where can i buy it?
You can buy it at our shop!
I brought in a tmnt skateboard one time got good money for it
Yea!
You need to put more of that Dave guy in future videos
More Dave? You like Dave!!?!?
@@toyfederation yep, that dude is funny
@@burnthecircusdown glad you think so!
Great likeness on the Hot Toys figure - very Christopher Reeve
Yea!
The single greatest casting/portrayal of a “ superhero” in film history. He was literally PERFECT
That’s a bold statement!
If someone hasn't told you, or you haven't figured it out. If you take a knife, maybe a butter knife, and shimmy it up and down the coin slot upside down or side ways, you will eventually get the coins out of the spider-man bank. It works. Trust me. No damage. Just shimmy it up and down the coin slot. - Toronto, Canda.
You should build the gunship. Minifigures aren't the best for a ucs set, but it's nice. UCS isn't minifigure scale.
I AGREE!!! I've a poster!!!
Oh very nice!
That Yoda Lego tho !
Actually you just need like a piece of paper to get the coins out of that coin bank. You have to get each coin one at a time but it's a better option than damaging spider man 🙂
That Christopher Reeve is a awesome awesome figure what does it go for ?
$650
Mighty Max is hands down the best toy line imo.
Mighty Max eh?
Its really hot right now. Great 90s line, getting a hero, villain, playset, and usually a monster or vehicle in a compact carrier. Its like the masters of the universe play pattern for micro play. My favorite is Wolfship 7. Since the outside is a play vehicle rather than a static head.
I'm mostly seeing big finds of Mighty max from UK toy hunters, since bluebird was a UK toy maker.
@@popculturehero yeah I'm very jealous of the UK hunters. It definitely seems more abundant across the pond.
@@popculturehero this is interesting to know!
@@toyfederation Oh yeah. One of the sets is called Mighty Max vs Battle Cat. Mattel using a name from Masters of the Universe.
You take unopened hot wheels from early 2000s?
Bring them in!
I have the hot toys christopher reeves evil superman , i hope to one day get the other version , but at over £500.00 now im not holding my breath.
Oh wow!
why are you located at? I got a ton of Marvel legends, and DC and wrestling figures and I mean a ton. I'm in Bristol spell check where Virginia.
Greenville, SC
This video has a grayish filter to it. I’ve watched every video almost now in 3 days and it looks quite a bit different. Must’ve been experimenting!
That Reeve is growing on me... Hmmm
Uh oh! You thinking about coming in and buying it!?!
put a butter knife in the slot of the bank while upside down and it will line the money back up to fall out
Battle damage: My he man had a spare Skeletor arm for years until i many many years later found he mans in the flower bed
Ha!
Yes the best Supes
Hey Ryan and Travis, would you guys be willing to trade straight up a Galaxy’s Edge Dark Saber for the Force FX Luke Skywalker lightsaber if you still have it. Let me know if you might be interested, I would of course bring it in for you to see it before a decision is made. If not no worries, take it easy. Be back there in about a week.
We'd love for you to bring it in! We can discuss it on camera for an episode! Just let us know when you're coming!
How’s Monday around 1 sound?
This can’t be the oldest video? Why didn’t you guys leave everything up???
Christopher reeve is definitely the best superman his my childhood superman although I do like Henry cavill because hes British but it doesn't seem right a British dude playing an American super hero so Christopher reeve definitely gets it 😎✌️🇬🇧
So many great superman's but like sports with the advancement of technology athletes are just bigger and better now. Henry Cavill is the best superman.
He is the only Superman yet it’s not Reeves that was the tv super George Reeves.
Ah thanks for pointing out the typo.
I will never NOT enjoy your store. I’m sure I’ve spent thousands on McFarlane figures with you haha
Thanks! That means a lot that you love our store and are loyal! What’s been your favorite McFarlane you’ve bought from us?
@@toyfederation definitely the McFarlane matrix sentinel !
@@a-train4854 oh that’s a great choice! Displayed nicely I assume?
Does anyone remember the Rubik's pyramid that they put out in the 80s? What a piece of junk that was!
Ha! Not a fan of that ?
Unquestionably, and don’t even try and make an argument. Christopher Reeves Superman is the only true Superman. It’s so frustratingly stupid why the modern depiction is so musclebound. Reeves muscles were more densely packed, therefore making him able to blend in as a “meek, dorky” Clark Kent.
Solid opinion!
I'd Stay Light Years Away From Those Newer Ugly Vinyl Plastic Power Ranger Megazords...Utterly Rubbish.. 😂😅
ahhh the aging Millennials. The last generation that was picked on for collecting and playing with toys after the age of 12. Now finding their stuff is worth less. Especially since the zoomers only collect smart phones and tik toks
That's a terrible looking Christopher Reeve Statue by Sideshow, it looks more like Timothy Dalton than Christopher Reeve.
You think so?
How much vitamin D do you guys get?
He's the only Superman to me!
Do you nerds just trade to each other?
