    THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUUUUCCCHHH🎉
    I have watched tens of videos on youtube to learn about graphic design and you are the 1st one who able to explain them in a very simple but clear explanation. I don't have basic design background but eager to learn and your video is the 1st one that I can understand as a beginner without any basic knowledge. I can't thank you enough. God bless you.

    Thank you for your knowledge and experience with the five videos on Basic Principles of Graphic Design I watched over the last several days. Your explanation was helpful, and I know a little more about the complexity and fun of the intricacy of graphic design.
    Additionally, using Canva for several years, I did not know about all of the tricks, tips, and descriptions that would be very helpful. So, I am subscribing and looking forward to more valuable topics in your videos.
    Thank you again.

    This is a great series of videos so thanks for making them! Quick question - do these same principles apply when making videos? I mainly make short videos with lots of static photos (animated with zooms and pans etc.) plus lots of graphics, transitions, text, etc. rather than cinematic-type productions, so it would be really great to know how to apply proper graphic design principles to these! Maybe a good topic to do another video on?

    • @TeamRonDi
      @TeamRonDi  Год назад

      The graphic design principles are general design principles that also apply to video making.
      That doesn't mean they should always be applied religiously, sometimes it's also good to break the rules 😉
      We do have a playlist about making videos with Canva, I'll share the link here for you to check it out: bit.ly/rondiplayvideos

      @@TeamRonDi Thanks for that! I've been through that playlist already and there's not much in there on graphic design as it applies to videos unfortunately, but still useful of course 🙂 If you could do another tutorial video specifically on that then it would be very, very useful imho 🤗

    • @TeamRonDi

      Fair enough!
      Asymmetrical balance is more subtle and I guess subjective 😊

  • @matshagstrom9839
    @matshagstrom9839 29 дней назад

    Thank you for a really good explanation. One thing I’m trying to get a better understanding of is asymmetrical balance if there is a dominant aspect on one side the contralateral lesser side can carry more visual weight by being further apart. Like it is pivoting. The lesser side will the often create dominant negative space. Is this correct?
    I’m develop bonsai trees where asymmetry is often an important part and we are often inherently limited because while trees are not static they do not always grow as we had intended. It can take years in development so having the right visual concept to start with is important.
    Thank you again
    Mats

    • @TeamRonDi
      @TeamRonDi  27 дней назад

      Hey Mats,
      Thank you for your thoughtful comment! You’re on the right track with your understanding of asymmetrical balance.
      When one side has a dominant element, the opposite (lesser) side can balance it by having more visual weight through positioning-like you said, it’s almost as if it’s “pivoting” around a central point. Distance or spacing plays a big role here: placing a smaller or lighter element further away from the dominant side can create that balance.
      And yes, this often results in dominant negative space, which acts as a deliberate part of the composition. That empty space isn’t just “empty”-it contributes to the overall visual harmony and balance.
      Think of it like a seesaw: a heavier object close to the center can be balanced by a lighter one further out. The visual tension and flow between the elements make asymmetry dynamic and engaging.
      Hope this clarifies it a bit more!
      PS: super cool what you do with the bonsais 🤩

    Ronnie, I ♡ your videos...I'm sure I've watched them ALL! I have a burning question. On the Pro account can I transfer ownership of a project to somonelse by inviting them to join my canva as a team member? They are also a Pro account user. I'd like them to take over and edit the project on their own Canva account. Possible?

      The best way to do that, without inviting that person to your team (potentially bumping the price of your subscription) is to share the design as a template with the person.
