Buckeye fan here. I really have no idea how this game will go other than it’s going to be close. We’re going to learn a lot about both teams. And either QB has a chance to get their signature win. Can’t wait to watch this one
I agree..I think ND oline and QB will be the difference
As a Norte Dame fan, I completely agree, have no clue. First big test for either team. It should be fun!
@@Nobody-knows2 ur not an ND fan if you don’t know who’s going to win
Yeh, this game is gonna be epic, and I have no clue who wins.
The way things are looking so far this season, ND is about to whoop y'alls ass
The thing with ND is the ELITE LB production. They use them a lot in pass pressure packages and they are game wreckers. Plus 2 NFL Corners. 1 of which didn't play last year.
For ND sake, hopefully those two nfl corners can cover 3 nfl WRs.
@@Bigmyoun1Fleming is a stretch at being a true NFL guy right now. I mean your TE is the second leading receiver on the team. Fleming needs to show up or else scouts won't have any tape on him
Carnell Tate too

@@chrisrand675 I certainly hope so. Speaking of games I’m not confident about this year… lol
@@ksimon6485 Apparently, you missed the last game...
We're about to find out a lot about both teams on Saturday.. I'm not going to pretend to be a gameplan expert, but I think I like Ohio State's chances if they can contain or shutdown ND's run game.. I have blind faith that Ohio State's secondary and DLine can have a field day when they know ND's going to pass.. OSU defense is playing with swagger, hopefully the DBs can just out athlete ND's WRs.. we'll see though.. I'm cautiously optimistic, but I'll just be happy getting out of South Bend with a W.. I don't care if it's an ugly win by 1 point, just win..
All due respect, folks are underrating Notre Dame's receiving corps.
Tobias Merriweather, Rico Flores, Chris Tyree, Jaden Greathouse, Holden Staes, Jayden Thomas and Deion Colzie are a pretty solid receiving corps.
I'm not comparing them to any other group. Im just saying that after watching them through 4 games, this is a solid group. No doubt.
@@OldIrishFan1966 yeah I'm definitely not sleeping on them, it's definitely going to be interesting..
@BB13131313
I think this is going to be a slugfest on the front lines. Two very talented teams (pure talent-wise, I'd have to give the nod to Ohio State) that match-up really well. Might very well be a 'down to the last possession' type game.
Could also be decided by fewest turnovers. Now, Notre Dame's secondary has been pretty successful in that department.
The Vegas odds has this at a 3-point game. That's a field goal, one possession-type game.
Yeah, it's going to be an exciting, can't miss college football game. Whoever wins this could very well end up in the National Championship game.
Since the Irish are at home, I honestly thought Notre Dame would GET the 3. Giving Ohio State 3 away is like 6 at home.
Vegas really likes the Buckeyes in spite of the quarterback situation. This will be the 4th start for Kyle McCord and the 65th for Hartman.
I’m with you buddy as a ND fan I don’t think I’ve been this excited for a game in a long time . I’m not making any predictions about the game I just can’t wait to see it .

I hear ya!!
My Grandfather was a '32 ND grad. I grew up hearing stories about the 4 Horseman and Rockne.
Notre Dame used to be dominant and carried a mystique. The last 20 years have been different.
Maybe this game the pendulum swings back the Irish way.
Yeah, can't wait for this one buddy!!
I think it comes down to if OSU can stop estime. Estime has been unstoppable since Syracuse last year.
Dude had like 25 yards last year against osu they clearly can no if about it
It's not just him; it's the offensive line, too. Can they continue opening big holes for him like they have in the first 4 games? That's a key matchup.
@@timmwynn8334Easy to sell out on the run against Tyler Buchner lil bro
@@cnutt8370 and a tommy rees offense😂
USC STOPPED IN HIM DEAD N HIS TRACKS AND THEY HAVE ONE OF THE WORST DEFENSES IN THE COUNTRY
I pick Ohio State by 7. I was questioning OSU's pass defense, but their new 3 corner nickel defense did the job against the W. Kentucky offense. ND will not be as successful running the ball as they have been lately.
Ohio State will need 150 yards rushing to keep the pressure off of their QB.
OSU 27, ND 20.
Any one who's vacillating back and forth between Notre Dame and Ohio State, don't understand the true X's and O's of high level football. Notre Dame will dominate this Game and win by at least 7 points. Additionally, who has the better Quarterback this year??🤔
Let’s see
Lol that's cute.
Nope!
Oof. I guess you just don’t understand X’s and O’s of high level football, Eugene.
………
I respect ND and want them to do well (except for this weekend). However, all I heard about was Estime in the run up to last year. He played last year and didn't do anything...Not understanding where all this hype is coming from.
He didn’t do anything last year because ND didn’t have a QB and Jim Knowles loaded the box all night. Smart move on his part and it took out NDs run game
After Saturday, you will get it 100%. Dude is a man among boys on the field. Plus, last year ND had almost zero passing attack. This year Hartman is possibly the best QB in the nation and they have 9 different receivers that have scored a TD. WR, TE, RB there are legit threats at every level.
Sam Hartman is gonna be the difference. ND has a good Defense and that offense is alot better with Hartman.
Prediction:
OSU’s defense will be the best defense that Hartman has ever faced (and struggle) and ND’s primary area of production will not be passing but rather their running game with Esime. And OSU’s offense will exploit ND’s defensive weakness (crossing routes and throwing underneath coverage). ND is a slow running engine and slow pace of play so they’ll get off slow and won’t be able to keep up early in the game.
Score: 45-17 Ohio State Wins convincingly. (This will age well)
Must be nice living in fantasy land. Not sure who wins, but there’s no way it’s a blowout either way. If youve watched any of the ND games, you can see that they like to run the ball to open the pass game, but the pass game has been EXPLOSIVE with big pass plays all over. If it’s a shootout, ND will have no problem keeping up
@yoshimua8318 i want some of what you're smoking
@@Hartman4Heisman All of ND games have started slow. It takes a while to develop the run game and to assume it’ll be developed quick against a star studded OSU front is a tall order. The explosive plays that ND has had are very few, so few that it’s not even part of ND identity so it’s just not a reasonable prediction for ND to be throwing 30+ yd passes the very other play. There’s just not enough WR talent to go up and get it that often. I’m just not convinced that it’ll be that easy for ND to have their way against Ohio State. It’s more likely the other way around, that Ohio State will have their way on both ends of the ball. 🤷🏻♂️
Hartman faced Clemson defenses of old leagues above this OSU defense...
I've got OSU winning but I don't think it'll be that big of a blowout
OSU 40-28 ND
I’ll have to disagree. Ohio State has a defense of good but not great players. I’m telling you Josh, ND is a matchup problem for Ohio State. When they can’t hit big plays passing or rushing, they struggle grinding games. It’s not Ryan Day’s identity. They struggle running the ball with consistency again. Especially in short yardage.
They very well could get big plays in this game but when they don’t, they struggle.
I dunno. Hard to read. ND usually isn't as good as people want to believe them to be... it should be a really good game.
@@ramspencer5492 Right- it’s always “ND is overrated,” every single time ND has a big game. In reality, this is the best ND team for 20-30 years.
@@Laminar-Flowmaybe that’s true but the question still remains, is it enough or it just more early season hype
@@calebleeson5662 We’ll see. Even Ohio state fans have to realize we’ll have better quarterback play.

Regardless of the outcome, this should be an amazing game. This week we have a bunch of amazing games
any game with nd in it is only amazing if they lose...badly
See you there brother
Ngl, Notre Dame v Georgia would be my dream National Championship game. I doubt it’ll happen, either due to us or them, but it would be awesome. That matchup has yet to produce a bad game, except for maybe 1980
Not a good idea. ND isn't going to be the second best team in the country. Georgia doesn't look very elite right now but they have the personnel. Likely to not be a competitive game by the time January comes around.
Maybe ND will be someone special by then. But alright they're usually pretty good. They're rarely as good as people think they'll be.
The 1981 (yes, it was '81) Sugar Bowl score was Georgia 17, Notre Dame 10. A bad game? WTH are you talking about?
Fingers crossed y’all meet in the fiesta bowl this year, logo (non-CFP bowl game 😂😂)

Excited to watch this game. Notre Dame fans were slamming Brian Kelly and claimed to be happy when he left saying he couldn’t win big games. Let’s see how this one goes with a new coach
Notre Dame just found out again for the 6th straight time! Ohio State has always been an elite program, recruits much better, and it shows on the field! The coach isn’t the problem, he is not playing on the field! 🌰🏈
I have to say, this is the first time I've been particularly interested in watching an OSU v ND game in a long time....
This will be the sixth time they have played each other in the last 28 years.
@@Shallnotbeinfringed2A And I haven't watched any of them. (Edit: I'm 51, so I was 23+ for those previous 5 games.)
scary thing is, and in 3 of the games the back for notre dame who has had the most impressive run, to the eye view(limited coaching/playing experience) is JEREMIYAH LOVE, 1 was a 6 yard run and another was a 12 yard run, the other was a 30 plus td run, but the best carry this year was that 6 yarder, where nobody blocked, made a man miss behind the line, contact at the line, used power and feet to get through that and then, added a little wiggle to get the 1 through 3half/4 and the final 2 yards(making someone pay) was lower the pads and ran right through 2 people(1 defender around the legs, the other up top).....most people think he is just a homerun hitter, he's got some kyren williams(final nd year) footwork to go along with that burst and great feel, whereas estime is more see hole, hit it as hard as you can(and sometimes he runs right up the back of the olineman)....i like estime, who wouldn't but i think a talented dline can handle him, but love can put a hurtin on any dline in the country and the teams that have that ability usually have backers that will clean up but even as a freshman he really needs at least 7 touches a game, even if estime only has 10 and they do have payne, price and ford(but none have what love has)...HE IS DEFINITELY A 3 and DONE PLAYER
Notre Dame has a brutal schedule from here on out pretty much. I don't know what to expect from my buckeyes in this game. Simply because we haven't faced anyone anywhere near as talented as Notre Dame. I don't really know what to expect from Notre Dame either, for the same reason. Lack of legit competition so far. I'm a life long OSU fan. I can tell you how I personally feel about the game. It has a real MSU vs OSU 2015 feeling to it to me. Where ohio state has struggled on offense despite having elite players across the board. Then lose and wake up. In 2015 it was too late in the year to recover from the L. This year it wouldn't be. I could see that happening in this ND game. Osu lose and then they wake up and slaughter everyone until they face Michigan to see who will represent the B1G east in the conference title game. Just as an OSU fan, I'll never pick them to lose though lol I'm taking OSU to win 24 - 21
Notre Dame has played a weak schedule. Ive seen SoS say ND has played a weaker schedule. When you have an open competition for QB in your first 2 games that means that there are no "starter reps" where your starter is taking 90% of the snap. When you are breaking in a new Center and both tackle spots. If you're are smart, are going to use those games to work on things. Everyone is insanely overreacting to the first two games. The Big Ten office of officials after both the IU and YSU games to let Ryan Day know that officials blew penalty calls on plays that touchdowns were scored on so you can add 7 to what the score SHOULD have been.
I cant more strongly disagree with your view on the offense.
And it was a joke thst Bucks made college football playoffs last season when Michigan kicked their ass in Columbus, if it was the other way around, Michigan is not going to playoff.
Bottom line is if Day is aggressive early and stays with it ND simply does not have the athletes to win this game. If Day is conservative and tries to protect his yound QB and OL then ND will win.
OSU and Day will determine the winner of this game.
i’m no ND fan but saying that ND doesn’t have the athletes to win is ludicrous. One of the best rosters in the country.
Keep telling yourself that nd doesn’t have the athletes to win lmao good luck with that
I think Notre Dame wins this one 34-21. ND pass rush will pressure OSU and they’ll struggle through the air. ND wears down the OSU defense with the running game and then Hartman lights them up.
OSU struggling through the air is a fantasy ND wearing down OSU when they have this much depth on defense is also hope dancing on the razors edge of insanity. Hartman lighting up OSUs much inproved secondary is also a fever dream. Can ND win a close one at home?....maybe, but I dont think it'll be a blow out no matter who wins. Ohio State aint Central Michigan and ND aint Youngstown State. Expect a good game and you should respect your oponent when the analytics are this close.
ND does not have a great pass rush. OSU's OL is exploitable, but moreso on the ground and ND doesn't have the DL to take advantage of the Buckeye's young OL.
@@reubenmendez4542they struggled through the air last year with a much better quarterback...
CMU let an FCS team throw for almost 500 yards in their game before ND. I don’t think either team has seen a team like the other. Should be a good test. I still think OSU wins 34-31

Has Hartman ever played in a pressure game before? I mean Wake Forest?
@debrenner5570 gimme a break. Dude has been playing ball for 5 years. He's won the acc before, threw 6 tds against Clemson he's played in bowl games. There is just no comparison with McCord which is extremely talented but a first year starter that has accomplished absolutely nothing yet. Notre dame has no pressure and isn't expected to do anything. With Ohio having no margin for error to even win their own division they have all the pressure and everything to lose. That matters to a first year starter that has yet to play at all period in a serious game

@RHerron tackling dummies apparently. The Irish blew that game. I could care less. Cryin Ryan Day wants to wail from a mountaintop like a chubby lil cherub let him. I want Ohio overly confident anyway. Michigan is better on every single unit than notre dame except maybe a push on the offensive line. Michigan's is definitely worse than last year. At least right now week 5 anyway. Last night just proved neither Ohio or notre dame are scary and both squads are beatable
These matchups come down to superstar talent and ND doesn't yet have enough of it to find that extra gear and take down one of the heavyweights. Sam Hartman and the O-line will give them a punchers chance but I see OSU pulling away in the end.

Imma be at the game this Saturday rooting the Buckeyes!
Go bucks!
On a 3.5 point spread if whoever wins wins by a field goal is the spread covered? Never sure how that works
The reason they go by half points in spreads is so there is only a winning and losing side to the bet with no way to tie. So for a 3.5 point spread the team picked to win has to do it by 4 or more points to cover, while the underdog has to either win outright or lose by 3 or less to cover. If the spread was just 3 points then winning by a field goal alone would be a draw.
So that means if the spread is 3 and they win by or lose by 3? You get your money back?
Let’s Go Bucks. If O line can protect at above average rate we will win by 21+. If they don’t we can be in trouble
I’m a Irish fan, but Ohio State has more talent. I’m praying Notre Dame wins
Ohio state has a better dline compared to notre dame but notre dame matches up if not exceeds in the rest of the game.

You said that you think you said that several times you think. You would be better served to do less projecting and rely what has transpired on the field leading up to this game. Anything can happen in a game but predicting results should be based on what has actually happened on the field leading up to the game. Notre Dame has the proven veteran quarterback leading the team which in the end will be the difference in the game.
Bias take from last year's game, but when the #1 receiver taken in last year's draft (Jaxson Smith-Njigba) goes down with an early injury, and was a big part of the offensive game plan, OSU looked somewhat lost as to who was going to shoulder that production. ND indeed played a great defensive game, but JSN getting injured early had a lot to do with that. As for this year's game, OSU's weakness from last year (Back 4) appears to be dialed in. Close game early, then OSU pulls away late cause it is a home game for ND.
For the sake of my blood pressure and overall health, I'm going to watch the game in replay at 11pm eastern if ND gets a win LMAO - ND has some great receivers that just haven't had a QB capable of showing them off. ND is 5th in passing yards/ 71% completion rate, 5th in completion yards, #1 in touchdown passes, #3 in QB rating. On offense Estime leads the nation in yards averaging 8.2/carry and 4 yards after contact. I think this game is going to be a great one. Having the home field advantage and a very experienced QB.. I think they have a great shot!
How can you say that when they played against Indiana they beat Indiana 23 to 3 now was at IU and you're talkin about going to Notre Dame the talent level between IU and Notre Dame is a big difference so we'll see how this plays

Ohio State is gonna have a rude Awakening this Saturday. They getting clapped by ND and Michigan in the same year.
If ND gets the run game going, I think they win. If OSU forces them to be one dimensional, I think the Buckeyes win a close one. I have a ton of respect for Hartman, but I also think this years defense for OSU is the best since 2019. I’m going OSU 31 ND 28.
OSU’s interior O Line and linebackers are super underrated. They are also the 3rd best in total defense
That's a good analysis.
tOSU 56, ND 14.
Based off talent, it's not even close. If Osu plays anything close to the way they played against Georgia last year this game could be ugly. My one big concern is our 5 game winning streak against Notre Dame and knowing they have not beat us since 1936, yes I said 1936. I also believe vegas is always the best team. Last thing, I just hope vegas turns us loose, so the nation can truly see what the Buckeyes are about !!
The sus af line got me 😂 good job Josh
OSU has beaten ND everytime since 1936. The trend is your friend
The best 2 teams ND has to beat are OSU And USC If Sam Hartman Wins Both 12-0 and a top 4 It could happen They need good defense vs OSU ,,,,,,
ND will lose to USC, Ohio State, Duke Louisville and the bowl game. They cant stop the run with the BVG Defense
Ya probably right Maybe Sam Hartman was better off at Wake Forest maybe hw would win 6 lose 6 and get a bowl game HA HA HA....@@JohnGaltLivesAgain-uj6gd
The ND defense will score 6 points. Not sure what else will happen.
I think the Bucks roll honestly. But if they lose this year this would be the best one to lose. Early loss against a good out of conference team might be the best motivator to beat Michigan and Penn State.
Really, like they rolled Indiana . they didn't roll notre dame with #2 pick CJ Stroud at QB at home . Notre Dame rolls 45-20
Lol Notre Dame couldn't even beat Knowels defense when he was at Oklahoma st. You have been beaten twice by him and you don't think Knowles don't know how to defend against the pass we will see
45 points lmao
@@antoineporche-rideaux4841if you think ND is scoring 45 on OSU youre on drugs
@@danielduncan3215 yes because OSU has had a ton of success against teams that play them the way ND will (checks notes: Michigan)
Buckeyes 34-27.
Ohio State has way more talent, Irish at home and have a grown man 6th year senior at QB, who is going to be atleast an NFL backup QB. Ohio State should be able to get this W. I could care less who wins, I just can’t stand either team. 😊
Fighting irish r for real and to get Hartman in the portal hes made the offense complete.
LET'S GOBUCKEYES 🌰🌰🌰🌰
Good. Wouldn't have the pick any other way, should be a good one.
Bro you picked the wrong horse! After Sat you better come correct. Love the show brother 🫡
Looking kinda juicy in that white tee Josh… been doing that 8hr arm workout?
Great show JP
Take ND and the points
nd doesnt score more than 20
Buckeye blow out!! Harrison Jr! Going to show out!! Then a dose of Henderson !!
I hope. I do see the buckeyes winning but I think we will have a pretty close match.
@raz_kok058 yeah your right! I'm always nervous! Every Saturday! But? If they click at the same time, blow out, I think we are more rounded, I mean we've only given up 23 points!!
ND should get after Buckyee QB … can they disrupt the rookie
ND QB is a surgeon.
did josh just say “sus af”😂😂
This one will be one to remember but Ohio St. is damn near a pro team. Much love to former Bucknut Marcus Freeman but Ohio St pulls away in the third quarter and Kyle McCord plays the game of his life
Half right, they pull away in the last 15 seconds
@@calebleeson5662 the fact you state that proves the expectations are real. And yeah boss that's what great teams do. I think your selling a great Notre Dame team at home way short
Notre Dame 38------Ohio St. 17..I dislike both teams immensely, Notre Dame is going undefeated all the way to the CFP....YES!...It pains me to actually say that!
OSU by 3 Josh...note to self, watch whatever game JP is attending 😂
