Most impressive play for osu in my eyes was the spike. Without executing that perfectly, they lose. Many teams F that play up. They ran down, lined up, and spiked the ball. This set up the win. Not a flashy play by any means but to me the most critical. Well done.
@@patricks8876 Probably, but not sure they had a play for that situation lol. But yeah, if kyle just ran that in and not spiked it woulda be crazy! Maybe they need to draw that up.
Most critical was when McCord threw the 4 sure INT 😆 right to a ND player in the middle of the field in desperation and they simply dropped it. That was game over . If they catch it. Easy .

I can tell you this is one of the most enjoyable football games I have ever seen , and as good as any of the great games in college football history. Every play both teams were battling each other, fighting trying to conquer the other individually and as a team. Both teams left it on the field. Notre Dame s a top five team, very, very good. You know Buckeye Nation is spoiled with our quarterbacks each year. And what we are all so excited about is the fact that he is getting better and more confident and shows his leadership each week. Ohio State, as talented as there are, may just now be getting their legs and starting to click as a whole. I think we are building to the Penn State game and we all see Penn State is the real deal this year. What about that defense, they are amazing, are are the difference maker this year. we would have won the National Championship last year if we had this defense. Perfect analysis as always Joel. Looking forward to seeing you in Columbus at a Buckeye game. Buckeye Nation respects you, your spot on analysis and for being the nice person we have seen in real time. So proud of Marcus Freeman and the other ex Buckeye players now assistant coaching there. Proud of how hard the Irish played as did the Buckeyes, each and every player gave all on every play. Loved the knock down drag out, punch by punch and leaving all on the field. Both teams must be proud.
ND fan here: agreed. that was one helluva game. You guys should really have been vaulted to #2. I think defense on both sides played great. I'm thinking ND finishes at least in the top 10 by end of year. McCord is the real deal. Good luck the rest of the year. Please beat Michigan lol
@@Mgoblue2486 I have to lean towards the '88 Catholics vs. Convicts game with ND vs. Miami - gamewise, that is. The loathing between those two programs was off the charts. That's not the case with ND vs OSU.
Easily one of the best games I've ever seen. I was sure ND was going to win but my Buckeyes pulled through. Sam Hartmann is fantastic. Looking forward to watching him take on USC in a few weeks.
Neither team had really played anyone, like most teams, however, I will give props to both teams as they both have excellent talent and I could see both teams competing for a playoff spot.
Funny, I was thinking it felt exactly like a high school game. Couldn't count to 11 on the most important plays of the game, running jet sweeps on 4th and 1, both teams dropping multiple game-ending interceptions, needing two plays to barely get a single yard against 10 men on defense. If you had these teams put on Northwestern and Iowa uniforms, no one would notice a difference.
@@TheRealBearB really? Interesting take. I have disagree. There was a lot of sound football played that night. The “counting to 11” is ultimately on the coaching staff of ND. As far as the rest of what you described- thats football at any level.
Buckeyes Fan. After watching that game it felt like OSU won a natty. I loved the intensity of that game by both teams. They treated ever drive like it was the most important. I was very happy to get to watch that game. Go bucks
Great show! You said Ohio State’s defense “kind of hung in there” and I don’t think that’s fair at all. Notre Dame has been lights out all year on offense and they have a very talented offensive team. Ohio State held them to under 200 yards passing. They kept the rushing attack in check for 90% of the rushing attempts. Each of the three main backs had 1 run that picked up 15+ yards. All other rushing attempts were keptunder control. They held ND to 14 points. Almost scoreless through a full 3 quarters. It was an amazing defensive performance.
Ohio St. looks even weaker than last year and both lines look soft. Good luck with Penn St. and Michigan. Central Michigan and North Carolina St. not known for their high powered offenses scored more. As a Michigan fan Ohio St. performance has me much more optimistic about our end of season match up.
@@Win4Cheesily NCST is actually half decent. The fact of the matter is ND was scoring 40+ the last five games and destroying teams, which includes a hot South Carolina in the bowl game and carried into this season, against another decent P5 team. The OSU D is just showed they are very good
Dave- Kinda agree with you. The stats for the ND qb were his lowest in 3 years. That’s due to the Bucks vastly improved Secondary. But he still had way too much time to throw. But… And ND controlled the line for most of the 2nd Half.
You honestly think the 12th ranked team has any chance to win the championship? D3 has 32 teams, and the championship always involves two of the top four.
@darylfoster7944 Absolutely not, but currently Alabama is 12 and Lsu is 13. It's just one of those years the SEC doesn't have a dominant team with a Heisman QB. Same thing with Ohio state. You have Penn state,Texas, and Washington that look really good. Plus others.
Coach Freeman has every reason to hold his head up after this game. As a Buckeye fan, I saw - particularly in the early years of the BCS - a lot of times that Notre Dame got an at-large bid to a bowl game just because they were Notre Dame. I would call them the least deserving repeat visitor during that era, except Oklahoma kept getting in somehow. This year's Notre Dame team is not that. That is a great football team, certainly a top ten talent, especially with their quarterback. I know they had to drop below every 4-0 team after Saturday but keep winning games and some of those teams above you will fall away.
Most amazing to me may have been that through from Kyle to Emeka, loved both players guts and determination, as you said that's not easy but heroic. There's a new name for Kyle showing up on many media sources and with our fans here in Columbus and we love it, he always appears calm and focused on the job at hand and he sure was in the final 1:25 seconds, we calling him KYLE McCOOL NOW. STAY TUNED FOR THE NEW JERSEY.
Buckeye fan here: there is no shame in Notre Dame losing this game. It could’ve just as easily gone their way. This was just an amazing football game, no question about it. Notre Dame should not have dropped out of the top ten. That was top tier football played. I have all the respect in the world for the game Notre Dame played.
He’s the top of the talking heads. He’s been my favorite for years. As a Buckeye, he’s ALWAYS fair about my team. I loved how he called people out on his podcast regarding their unfair treatment of the OSU football program by the national media.
Absolutely love the braveheart reference. I’m a huge buckeyes fan and I was literally thinking about your video on Kyle last week during that final drive. That 4th and 7 was so clutch, and the play after the grounding call is a legendary moment. Kyle Is a guy
Flew in from Houston to South Bend for my first visit. Wow what an atmosphere, the weather and the hospitality of the Irish was fantastic. Then I entered into a time machine and I watched a Jim Tressel and Craig Krenzel slug fest although Tressel would have take the points on both occasions. WOW I was down on my buckeyes and Joel everything you mentioned was flooding my tiny brain. At 1:26 McCord throws two incomplete passes and I literally told my wife lets go. She said don't give up on your team and she stood up and started cheering then that crazy drive came together. I did just what you said I reflected on the game and realized they did make some crucial stops and although the defense bent it really didn't break. In 30 years that's a top 5 OSU game for me no doubt. We didn't celebrate and cheer we walked out saying how the heck did we just win that game because ND stout.
Unbelievable! Mccord is going to beat great! What guts, for a four game starter! So happy for him, and our, and The Ohio State Buckeyes! Here people say Ohio State was lucky, no they weren’t, Ohio State had better stats, more points, shut out Notre Dame in the first half, played great defense, stopped them when they had too, drove 65 yards on last series, and can’t control how many players Notre Dame has on the field in a critical situation! Ohio State proved they were the better team, period! If Notre Dame was the better team, they would have stopped Ohio State throughout the entire game, and at least on that final drive before Ohio State got to the goal line to score the winning touchdown! Go Buckeyes! 🌰🏈
What makes the 10 men on defense even worse is that Ohio State made a substitution for the final play bringing in Chip Trayanum for Trey Henderson meaning Notre Dame could’ve made a substitution also without having to worry about a penalty because as we all know if the offense makes a substitution the defense is given time to be allowed to counter. Freeman said he didn’t want to risk a penalty but I’m not sure he was even aware he had 10 men to begin with.
I saw the replay from high up and the ref stopped play for a substitution and looked over to ND bench. When ND gave no indication of a substitute, the ref signaled play on. Freeman and his coaching staff had no idea they had only 10 men on the field.
As much as I like Freeman. That was a mistake and his excuse for it. You can’t get a penalty bc we subbed in Treynum. Well, I take that back, his personnel guy made a big mistake. His ONLY job is to have the right number of players on the field.
@@adamh.2791 that might be one of the worst blunders I’ve ever seen in a moment like that. Even the players had no idea there were only 10 guys out there I listened to their press conference and they all said the game was moving so fast they weren’t aware of what was going on in that moment.
Joel, you are one of the few media personalities that I actually admire. You are so positive. Your first comment is to just appreciate the whole game! I’m an OSU fan and get frustrated with our fanbase who is so unrealistic. Most of the fanbase would have quit during the 02 season. Overall solid game for both teams.
I love the way he explains everything. It brings so many different perspectives. Firm believer in what goes around comes around.. we got shafted on some bad calls and they were holding our WR the entire game.. it came back around at the end.
Somebody had a good line today… The AP was kind enough to put Notre Dame at No.11 as a reminder of how many men you’re supposed to have on the field 😂😂😂
One thing that wasn't mentioned after he blew up the first play. ND took Estime out after a 12 yard run and he didn't see the field after. That's ignoring everything after, THAT is the biggest coaching error in the last 4 minutes (aside from 10 men obviously). You want your big time players making those plays in big situations and they didn't let him which is such a shame for a great game.
Agreed. We were wearing down the OSU defense and tried to get cute with 2 RB's next to Hartman. Run the ball with Estime and make tOSU use their timeouts. We win the game if we literally run the ball 3 times and possibly get a first down. This loss hurts but I love the direction Freeman is leading this program towards. We have a dawg mentality that we never had under BK. Disappointed for sure, but I can see ND winning out as there isn't a team on their schedule who's better than them, including U$C and that god awful defense.
@@Heruohio No one knows why. He didn't come off the field hurt, so it isn't that. He didn't just fumble a ball that they recovered. He ran for 12 yards and was pulled off the field.
I'm a Buckeye fan, but I was impressed with the ND secondary. Everyone knows about TOSU's quality at receiver. ND was glued to our guys for the most part the entire game. ND is a really good football team. So glad we won. TTUN doesn't schedule these games. They also call in sick when they think they're going to lose.
😂😂 ohio fans are hilarious. ND just handed you the game and all you can think about is Michigan embarrassing you for the past 2 years. You better thank ND for that one, bc they were the better team and gifted you that win. PS We've played Notre Dame 39 times.
I wonder when some of the talking heads will realize what really makes people want to see Colorado lose, is the ridiculous circus like hype stirred up by the clown show media. Prime has done a great job turning that program around, but ESPN turns their games into an over-the-top recruiting commercial for the Buffs. Nothing is kept in perspective and we get a narrative completely untethered from reality thrown in our face every 5 minutes. It’s beyond obnoxious, and I’m glad the nonsense will stop. Maybe the coverage around that team will be more accurate and grounded moving forward.
OSU went 5 wide that last drive and looked unstoppable. They have the best WR in the country and they need to dare teams to cover them. They will at least get at PI or Defensesive Holding call.
@@IrishGang0924 ???? Safety over the top and they took away that moss for no reason talm bout he bobbled. His feet landed before hand so they so said some BS refs was helping all night
@@christ9359 they also shouldnt have rushed 3 on 3rd and 19. McCord was struggling with the pressure. Both offense and defense for ND abandoned their game plan in the most important moment
Let's drop the soft narrative for Ohio State because this team is TOUGH AS NAILS. It's not a soft team, they are a tough physical team that got huge push on the line!
No one says this besides social media . Ohio state winning doesn’t fit the narrative so when they win people go and find other way to shame the team by calling them “soft “
This is the first time I’ve really listened to this guy for more than a minute or two but he really nails it especially about the last minute and 26 where the plays really come in 40 second chunks. Great analysis of the whole last part of the game and he’s right the coach is blue it ain’t hating just the facts.
Dear Notre Dame fans, You should be highly proud of how your boys played on that great given Saturday evening. Courage, toughness, grit and perseverance were highly displayed. They gave it their all and put their hearts and love on that field. Have a heeluva season and crush them all Sincerely, A Buckeyes fan!
Wag your finger somewhere else. Just keep it to yourself. You don't need to post this. ND was the better team, yet still fudged the game up. You like that?
absolutely stunning, Joel! nail on the head! why, when was the last time a higher ranked team ran into someone else's house as the overdog on the Vegas line and took two cracks at the goal line against ten men! ten men on the other side! twice! and pushed it in! haven't been this stunned since I read dogs bite people!
It will be really difficult. They will need at least 1 of the major conference champs to be a 2 or more loss team. An SEC, B1G, and Pac 12 champ gets in over a 1-loss ND team because of the CCG's 13-1>>12-1 nor should they! ND has thumbed its nose at Joining a conference so they can reap the consequences of that decision. Dont come crying to the rest of CFB about ND getting snubbed...You made a choice to spurn the B1G not once but twice! So enjoy watching the CFP from whatever bowl game you go to. I don't want to hear Domer fans complain!!!!!!!!!!!
@@robschaller9061 From an article in the Athletic by Scott Dochterman: "“From their perspective, they had historic, bad feelings about the Big Ten,” Delany said. “They felt - and I’ve read this - I don’t know this for a fact that Fielding Yost worked overtime to keep (Knute) Rockne and Notre Dame out of the Big Ten in the ’20s." Also, "In 1926, Rockne and the Irish were interested in joining the Big Ten, but Yost and his Michigan contingent reportedly worked against Notre Dame for membership. For a century, Yost’s supposed actions have left a scar on the relationship between the entities."
@@robschaller9061 if they beat USC they are right there because they will compete in a championship game and Michigan has to play OSU Georgia will lose a game prior to the championship game.
Good analysis Joe. Great game and atmosphere but agree that Coaches helped “ Notre Dame beat Notre Dame” in last 4 minutes Love Marcus and he will get better
I’ll repeat what I posted on one of Joel’s podcast….that ND had almost 10mins more time of possession than OSU. OSU just did more with their time than ND.
OSU had more total yards and more passing yards with a 4 game starter McCord at the helm. While Blackledge gushed over Hartman's calming influence on the team, it was McCord who never flinched and delivered the ball where and when needed especially in the clutch, McCord ended up with a higher QBR than Hartman. Day has a .890 percent in 5 years, only Smart is higher! I love the fact that OSU transfer to ND Jean Petit Ferer came over after the game and hugged Ryan Day, class act by both men! So proud to be a BUCKEYE for life!
Pretty sure Hartman had a better qbr. Ohio st did have more yards, 15, and were credited with a 9 yard sack on the lateral play. So before that had 6 more yards. The game couldn’t have been more evenly played
Me too! Buckeye for life! My Dad who died in 2009, at the age of 80, was from Lancaster, Ohio, got me hooked on this team, so happy he did, will be for life! 🌰🏈
Another attention-to-detail nuance on why Chip should be getting more touches. He later mentioned that he made sure he kept his knees elevated as he was being tackled on that TD. On other video on RUclips, you can see he noticably straightens out his left leg to keep it from touching as ND's #2 has him wrapped as he's going down
As an Ohio State fan, Notre Dame was absolutely the tougher team in the second half. Ohio State escaped with a win. Didn't see the tough team Ryan Day was talking about. Notre Dame imposed their will on both sides of the line the entire second half.
As a Notre Dame fan I felt like Lou Holtz was coaching Notre Dame again. The only difference they loss. I feel bad for Marcus Freeman and the players they fought hard and should have won the game. I have not seen Notre Dame this tough since Lou. Now 2005 was a good tough team. B. Kelly here and there. I believe M. Freeman has the the Irish going in the right direction I haven't seen since Lou Holtz🏈 They need to eliminate fewer mistakes and hit the recruiting trial harder. I am proud of this football an the coaching staff🤘
Notre Dane has a great team, but as a Buckeye fan, Notre Dame should not have won this game simply because Ohio State outplayed them, not by much, but had more yardage, led in most of the statistics, most of all the score! Showed everyone there toughness, guts, and class, of in my opinion, the greatest college football program in the history of the game! They have the highest winning percentage of all-time! 🌰🏈
Can’t stand Lou Holtz! The only thing I have ever liked about him, is that he was Ohio States defensive coordinator back in 1968, when they beat O. J. Simpson, and USC, in the Rose Bowl, to win the National Championship, that’s it! Go Bucks! 🌰🏈
All I wanted out of this game (other than a win) was to see how McCord would handle the night would he get flustered and overwhelmed??? He might have at times, but when it really mattered he reached down deep and that last drive was one a very experienced QB handles. McCord just grew up right in front of the nation in a matter of 3 hours .
I am convinced that Freeman's excuse is a lie to cover for the PLAYER who did not follow his 10 teammates onto the field after the timeout. Freeman didn't have a clue he was a man short until after he was back in the locker room, imo. He would take that bullet for his player but not Golden.
It's more than the Head Coach. The defensive staff totally messed up. As did the team itself for not noticing they only had 10 on the field for TWO plays.
Ohio State was able to pull out a win after being dominated in the trenches all day. I’m an Ohio State fan and I can freely admit that. It was Notre Dame’s game to lose and they did just that. Emeka and Julian deserve big props, but McCord stole the show. Kid came out of his shell and perfectly orchestrated that final drive. Love the hat!

You just KNOW this game is going to get added to ESPN's Instant Classic games.
I personally think the 2022 Undefeated Matchup between Michigan and ohio was the the best game in human history! What a game 😂〽️
Reminds me of them 2002 buckeyes
@@Mgoblue2486 I have to lean towards the '88 Catholics vs. Convicts game with ND vs. Miami - gamewise, that is. The loathing between those two programs was off the charts. That's not the case with ND vs OSU.
Easily one of the best games I've ever seen. I was sure ND was going to win but my Buckeyes pulled through. Sam Hartmann is fantastic. Looking forward to watching him take on USC in a few weeks.
Felt more like an NFL game than anything. Well played by both teams.
The other OU had multiple plays against a dame d that couldn’t get their players on the field. Well played, I don’t think so.
Neither team had really played anyone, like most teams, however, I will give props to both teams as they both have excellent talent and I could see both teams competing for a playoff spot.
I didn’t know anyone still watches the National Felon League
Go bucks
we gotta hold Michigan under 10!!! I’d cream
As an Irish fan I’m devastated
@@AliFrankTheTankno way you guys hold Michigan under 10. They’re gonna beat you by 20+ again
Lights out against bad teams. Not to mention that DC for Notre Dame needs tobe fired for that last drive
Ohio St. looks even weaker than last year and both lines look soft.
The OSU D is just showed they are very good
Dave-
Kinda agree with you. The stats for the ND qb were his lowest in 3 years. That’s due to the Bucks vastly improved Secondary. But he still had way too much time to throw.
But…
And ND controlled the line for most of the 2nd Half.
Bro Notre Dame had 175 yards rushing what are you talking about.
Die hard tOSU fan here but both teams are awesome and there was so much respect on both sides
It's unfortunate that this isn't a 12 team playoff with all the QB talent.
Yeah. The 12 team CFP can't get here fast enough!
College 🏈 season. too long right now
You honestly think the 12th ranked team has any chance to win the championship? D3 has 32 teams, and the championship always involves two of the top four.
@darylfoster7944
Absolutely not, but currently
Alabama is 12 and Lsu is 13.
It's just one of those years
the SEC doesn't have a dominant team with a
Heisman QB.
Same thing with Ohio state.
You have Penn state,Texas,
and Washington that look
really good. Plus others.
@@adriangalo3813 it's only week 4. It's usually pretty obvious who the best teams are by year end.
Best game of the weekend this is my favorite show
Coach Freeman has every reason to hold his head up after this game.
Should have sent the 11th guy onto the field
@@tkaki6029 it certainly would not have hurt
Most amazing to me may have been that through from Kyle to Emeka, loved both players guts and determination, as you said that's not easy but heroic. There's a new name for Kyle showing up on many media sources and with our fans here in Columbus and we love it, he always appears calm and focused on the job at hand and he sure was in the final 1:25 seconds, we calling him KYLE McCOOL NOW. STAY TUNED FOR THE NEW JERSEY.
Joel hit it on the head. Kyle McCord showed me he got that OHIO State QB swag. He came up insanely CLUTCH
If Notre Dame play like last Saturday, I don't think USC have a chance, Notre Dame's running back is a beast!
Buckeye fan here: there is no shame in Notre Dame losing this game. It could’ve just as easily gone their way. This was just an amazing football game, no question about it. Notre Dame should not have dropped out of the top ten. That was top tier football played. I have all the respect in the world for the game Notre Dame played.
couldn't agree more
Joel Klatt, absolutely spot on, killed it 2 weeks in a row!!
Joel is becoming one my favorite CFB personalities. Fair and honest opinion that he gives without biases
Thanks for shouting out Mount Union! Proud alum, Go Raiders! 💜🖤
I haven't been this emotional watching a football game for a long time😊
Two really outstanding teams! Completely agree that the NDU coaching staff didn't set their players up for success the last 4 minutes of the game.
As an Ohio State fan, I have nothing but respect for the Fighting Irish and the class both teams exhibited!
And I think OSU overall got outplayed. Great that they got the win and a great experience for the players.
Joel Klatt, live hearing your show and listening to your games. You bring up such great points.
Long story short...Your Awesome
Great commentary and analysis about a really epic game. You have a new subscriber.
I think what McCord did was heroic.
As a ND fan thank you for lifting my spirits 😭
I love the way he explains everything. It brings so many different perspectives.
Firm believer in what goes around comes around.. we got shafted on some bad calls and they were holding our WR the entire game..
it came back around at the end.
Such a tough game as a ND fan. Would have been a program defining win. Still haven’t had one in decades
Such great analysis. You're the best Joel.
Somebody had a good line today…
The AP was kind enough to put Notre Dame at No.11 as a reminder of how many men you’re supposed to have on the field 😂😂😂
Couldn’t agree more
@@dis6900 Maybe they win right. Maybe the guy STILL makes those big plays, but to not even see it is just a college football crime.
But do you know why he didn't play the rest of the game?
@@Heruohio No one knows why. He didn't come off the field hurt, so it isn't that. He didn't just fumble a ball that they recovered. He ran for 12 yards and was pulled off the field.
I'm a Buckeye fan, but I was impressed with the ND secondary. Everyone knows about TOSU's quality at receiver. ND was glued to our guys for the most part the entire game. ND is a really good football team. So glad we won. TTUN doesn't schedule these games. They also call in sick when they think they're going to lose.
Best secondary they will play all season.
Best O line also
😂😂 ohio fans are hilarious. ND just handed you the game and all you can think about is Michigan embarrassing you for the past 2 years. You better thank ND for that one, bc they were the better team and gifted you that win. PS We've played Notre Dame 39 times.

Congrats on two in a row. I’m honestly glad it’s a rivalry again. Those 12 wins in a row really made a joke of it. See you in November.
That Bucs Defense !!!!! Jim Knowles 😮💨😮💨 he gotta hold them TTUN boys under like 16😭😭😭😭… McCord last drive 👍🏾
OSU went 5 wide that last drive and looked unstoppable. They have the best WR in the country and they need to dare teams to cover them. They will at least get at PI or Defensesive Holding call.

I agree. ND should not have ended their possession with an incomplete pass. What a great game!
Should have run the ball the same way they did on the previous drive. Just run off tackle. They couldn't stop it.
@@christ9359 they also shouldnt have rushed 3 on 3rd and 19. McCord was struggling with the pressure. Both offense and defense for ND abandoned their game plan in the most important moment
But Klatt you called it last week. You said it was going to be the big test for both teams. It was truly a classic.
Not the outcome I hoped for but it was one of the best college football games ever. ☘
The back half of Notre Dame’s schedule will show us what Notre Dame truly is
I appreciate you Joel. You’re the only reporter to give ohio state credit ever.
I love this show!!
I really feel the gut punch ND fan's felt after this game. As a Buckeye fan, this is exactly what we felt after the Georgia game.
What an exciting game. We (osu) have been on the other side of the stick. I remember the Clemson game. My hats off to both teams a real classic.
Joel, I was at that Kansas State game you referenced. My dad was a K-State grad. So, you ruined my day bringing up that game. LOL
Great video! Thanks
Dear Notre Dame fans,
You should be highly proud of how your boys played on that great given Saturday evening. Courage, toughness, grit and perseverance were highly displayed. They gave it their all and put their hearts and love on that field. Have a heeluva season and crush them all

Wag your finger somewhere else.

You don't need to post this.
ND was the better team, yet still fudged the game up.
You like that?
I was impressed with ND line play and tackling. Go Bucks!
absolutely stunning, Joel! nail on the head! why, when was the last time a higher ranked team ran into someone else's house as the overdog on the Vegas line and took two cracks at the goal line against ten men! ten men on the other side! twice! and pushed it in! haven't been this stunned since I read dogs bite people!
Excellent analysis concerning nd last drive and the screen play
Joel Klatt knows the game of football as evidenced by his always insightful analysis.
ND is a great team I just barely lost to an extremely good team at the last second. Both teams can still make the playoffs

Love the Pod Cast! McCord is gonna be a BEAST! I couldn't believe that he did that in only his third game! OSU could win it all this year
Fourth game this season and fifth start overall. But yes, he was clutch.
I’ll repeat what I posted on one of Joel’s podcast….that ND had almost 10mins more time of possession than OSU. OSU just did more with their time than ND.
3&19 … 65 yards in 82 seconds
61 yard TD rush by Henderson and that 3rd&19 dart by McCord were super clutch.
Good old fashioned defense trench war.
Much better than the flying circus games today.
O-H!
I-O!!!!
Thank you for not calling it a walk off.
On other video on RUclips, you can see he noticably straightens out his left leg to keep it from touching as ND's #2 has him wrapped as he's going down
Being a Buckeyes fan, it was stressful to watch but a great game! 😅
both fan bases were stressed out, believe me!
"Can't happen for Jones Junior High School." Classic!
That was a great game. With 1:30 left I said, whoever wins, great game.
Great show
Marcus Freeman learned a lot on Saturday. I think that’s the silver lining for ND
I wanna meet Joel Klatte so bad so much knowledge
Go Bucks! 🌰🏈
I agree 100 percent.
Great initial thoughts! - a heartbroken ND fan
LINCOLN CHOKES A LOT RILEY… it’s almost that time fight fans 😭
As an Ohio State fan, Notre Dame is now an elite team
Instant classic
The voice of reason.
I am convinced that Freeman's excuse is a lie to cover for the PLAYER who did not follow his 10 teammates onto the field after the timeout. Freeman didn't have a clue he was a man short until after he was back in the locker room, imo. He would take that bullet for his player but not Golden.
I agree
It's more than the Head Coach. The defensive staff totally messed up. As did the team itself for not noticing they only had 10 on the field for TWO plays.
Ohio State was able to pull out a win after being dominated in the trenches all day. I’m an Ohio State fan and I can freely admit that. It was Notre Dame’s game to lose and they did just that. Emeka and Julian deserve big props, but McCord stole the show. Kid came out of his shell and perfectly orchestrated that final drive. Love the hat!
First things first, that Rose Bowl hat is awesome.
Huge win for OSU as they will improve every week with a new quarterback getting better every game
Adding Braveheart to the list.
