Quality is more important than the stuff the Am. Industry cranks out. Its fast food. No nourishment for the soul. The crap today is just that....crap. And the wrong message for the young. Dimash needs nothing from the US. RuPaul was disgusting and rude when he performed on Worlds Best...but dropped out when they went back on their word about competing against children. He was sure to win the Million dollar prize...but said no. He is a man of integrity...something you dont see anymore in Hollywood or the Am Music industry. However...Dimash has a huge American fan base....as he does in countries world wide. He brings people together. There will be people from 60 different countries who travel the globe to come see him where he gives a concert. He says he would like to win a Grammy....but if he hasn't been recognized by now...then a Grammy isnt worth the powder to blow it up. Considering their lowered standards these days and the political shenannigans...its nothing but a tin foil award painted gold. It means nothing. Just a sham and a glorification of decadance and mediocrity. Money, looks and sordid lifestyles is the message. Young minds are being robbed of self respect, virtue and their higher selves as human beings. As an American patriot who believes in the founding principles of this nation and the daughter of WWII vet who fought for this country....I am ashamed at what we have become. I am no prude but I know the downward spiral decadance, stupidity and narcissism brings. There is nothing new under this old sun. Political Correctness has killed the golden goose of freedom, beauty, decency, prosperity, brotherhood, trust and safety. Dimash has awakened a sleeping giant. This was 7 years ago in a Chinese tv competition show for famous professional Chinese singers. 22 yr old Dimash was invited as a "wild card" competitor for one or two episodes more as a publicity stunt to boost ratings. Much to the tv show producers' surprise, Dimash took the audience by storm singing one of the most difficult French songs in the world, SOS d'un terrien en detresse (S.O.S. of an earthling in distress). He was the first singer in the first episode of the season (no pressure there, right?). The next day he was a super star in China and needed bodyguards to go shopping for clothes as he did not bring anything more than a tiny suitcase, not expecting to be there for more than a week or two. Needless to say, he won that episode. Opera 2 was the second performance in the second episode of the 14 week competition. He also won this episode. After this the show runners (in my opinion) made sure he came in close to first but did not allow him first place except for one other instance (Adagio). But you can see by the audience reaction to Dimash each week, he was much adored and respected. The 500 member audience were the judges and were all hand picked professional members of the Chinese music industry. Watch their faces. That says it all. Dimash came in overall 2nd but in reality won China. Since that time, Dimash has been awarded just about every award China can give a foreign singer/artist and is invited to perform in just about every large festival and concert every year. Today Dimash is rapidly gaining millions of fans (called Dears) around the world (in addition to his over 8-9 million Chinese fans). I believe his fastest fan growth is in South America and Mexico but he now has reached 16,000 die hard fans in the USA. He has fan clubs in over 160 countries around the world whos fans fly to his solo concerts wherever they are in the world. Tomorrow Dimash has a concert in Budapest Hungary and later on May 24th, his huge birthday concert in Istanbul Turkey. This was a fun performance but maybe not the best one to showcase what he can do. Try SOS or Stranger to get a better idea of what the “hype” is all about. Yes, he is singing in Russian, a language he is fluent in. He is from Qazaqstan (Kazakhstan) a former republic of the USSR so he speaks Qazaq (Kazakh) and Russian fluently. This is competition show in China called “I am Singer.” For every singer on the program, the subtitles on screen are in the original language the singer is singing in (in this case Russian) and below is always Chinese. Dimash sings in multiple languages (I think about 15 now) so if you check out more Dimash (and I hope you do), always turn on the cc. Almost everything on Dimash’s YT channel has translations. Stranger is in English so that might be a logical next choice. Thanks for checking him out but do yourself a favor and go down the Dimash rabbit hole. He will always surprise you. He sings in just about every genre so just ask us Dears (his fans) if there is a genre you are in interested in and we’ll be happy to oblige with suggestions. I liked and subscribed hoping for more Dimash reactions😊 Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads, RnB and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country (and he still does). And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. You can't compare him to any other singer on this planet. He has so many different music genres and styles. He loves Freddie Mercury, but also Michael Jackson, Lara Fabian, Luciano Pavarotti and Eminem and you can also hear that one or the other has an influence on some of his songs. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle in this country and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 21 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. So beautiful and emotional. By the way the audience is also the jury and the people backstage are the other competitors. Please react to Sinful Passion next. And watch the videos from start to finish and you will see how kind and lovely he is. And I always recommend turning on the subtitles, if available. Here he sings in a competition for young musicians, called New Wave in Sochi, Russia. He was there in 2018 as a guest. The musicians who accompany him are called A-Studio. It's a Kazakh band that wrote this song in 1998. However, Dimash sang it differently. And in my opinion much better 😄. The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. If possible, always watch the videos from start to finish. Very often there are interesting things to learn. Either there’s something to laugh about, or he’s talking to his audience. He always thanks his musicians. He is incredibly humble and never acts like a star. When he is praised, he constantly says that it is thanks to his teachers and his parents, who made it all possible for him. He’s just incredible. He does so much more than opera. For example, he has two recent releases, both in English, one more blues, rock and R & B vibe, and the second just modern vibe with a little opera thrown in. He's from Kazakhstan. And he's 6'3" so not little. The song is Russian and originally sung by Russian singer Vitas. Dimash is now a world star performing his own original songs. This performance was in 2017. You should hear him now! "When I've Got You" is one of his most recent MVs, and it's in English. I've been a fan since 2018, and I've seen him live in concert in NYC.

Yes, he's singing in Russian. The translations are always in Chinese because the TV show's broadcast from China. And Dimash is Kazakh, which means he has two native tongues, Kazakh and Russian. "Stranger" is in English.

Hi thanks for the great reaction, SOS in this same Chinese show, with subtitles so you know why the emotion is being shown, then Sinful Passion with English subtitles, after sinful passion performance is over a man with a white shirt stands up, he is the very famous Igor Krutoy after he saw Dimash for the first time Igor Krutoy actually came out of retirement to work with Dimash. He writes music for Dimashs abilities & talent. When you see Igor Krutoy playing the piano for Dimash you know he wrote that music. He is a very interesting person worth looking up. Screaming music video is in English Dimash does all the backround music also. His cover on Hello in English. Dimash mixes genera in any song. This was a fun performance but maybe not the best one to showcase what he can do. Try SOS or Stranger to get a better idea of what the “hype” is all about. Yes, he is singing in Russian, a language he is fluent in. He is from Qazaqstan (Kazakhstan) a former republic of the USSR so he speaks Qazaq (Kazakh) and Russian fluently. This is competition show in China called “I am Singer.” For every singer on the program, the subtitles on screen are in the original language the singer is singing in (in this case Russian) and below is always Chinese. Dimash sings in multiple languages (I think about 15 now) so if you check out more Dimash (and I hope you do), always turn on the cc. Almost everything on Dimash’s YT channel has translations. Stranger is in English so that might be a logical next choice. Thanks for checking him out but do yourself a favor and go down the Dimash rabbit hole. He will always surprise you. He sings in just about every genre so just ask us Dears (his fans) if there is a genre you are in interested in and we’ll be happy to oblige with suggestions. His most recent releases, I’ve Got You (MV) and Smoke (Performance video), are what you might call more radio friendly and are in English if that’s what you’re looking for.

Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers.
His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads, RnB and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country (and he still does). And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 was in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. You can't compare him to any other singer on this planet. He has so many different music genres and styles. He loves Freddie Mercury, but also Michael Jackson, Lara Fabian, Luciano Pavarotti and Eminem and you can also hear that one or the other has an influence on some of his songs.
Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄.
Opera2 was the second performance of The Singer competition in 2017 in China. The song is in Russian. A language he also speaks fluently. The original was from the famous Russian singer named Vitas.
The song is very famous and popular in China. And it's no opera song. That’s just the name of the song. The audience already knew what to expect, but were very surprised when Dimash raised the pitch three times. Vitas but only once.
The man who raises his fist in the air at the end is Dimash’s father. He came from Kazakhstan to support his son. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed.
I think it was very difficult for him at the beginning. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle in this country and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 21 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. So beautiful and emotional.
By the way the audience is also the jury and the people backstage are the other competitors.

Here he sings in a competition for young musicians, called New Wave in Sochi, Russia. He was there in 2018 as a guest.
The musicians who accompany him are called A-Studio. It's a Kazakh band that wrote this song in 1998. However, Dimash sang it differently. And in my opinion much better 😄.
The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship.
If possible, always watch the videos from start to finish. Very often there are interesting things to learn. Either there’s something to laugh about, or he’s talking to his audience. He always thanks his musicians. He is incredibly humble and never acts like a star. When he is praised, he constantly says that it is thanks to his teachers and his parents, who made it all possible for him. He’s just incredible.
These last three mentioned songs are mind-blowing and will leave you speechless. I promise.

"S.O.S." - (the version from this Chinese talent show) and "Olimpico" - live (during a concert in Turkey, I think), are just two of my absolute favourite Dimash sings. That said, I'm more than happy to see any of Dimash's performances.

I really recommend checking out "SOS" from his 2021 Digital Show next, it's more recent and shows a bit more of what he can do.
He does so much more than opera. For example, he has two recent releases, both in English, one more blues, rock and R & B vibe, and the second just modern vibe with a little opera thrown in. Check out his MV, When I've Got You, (Vampire in this one) and Smoke Performance video. Today he may do full opera, tomorrow he may rap. Yes he does that to in his native Kazakh. He sings in many languages and genres.
Do watch more, he s hot many sides and voices to him. Samaltau, jazz concert, SOS is usually his first recommended song, Stranger, recent one, when i ve got you
