I went to school at Texas State and that's is where I fell in love with cycling. When life got too stressful an early morning ride to New Branfuels to ride up River Road to Canyon Lake was my way of escaping reality for a few hours. Thanks for this video reminding me of simpler times.
Loved the old days of doing the Tour De Gruene 2 man team time trials from Gruene Hall that included River Road. Glad there didn't seem to be much car traffic for you. It can be nasty at times.
