It's not all math. You could do level design without much math. Or be a quest designer for bethesda game studios for example. You write dialogue, structure narrative, and code in your quest into the game. There is most likely generally no math done in that process.

Rob St Make an indie game and send it to a game development company. If you work really hard and make something good I would be willing to bet that a game company in America or Canada or the UK will help you get citizenship. Canada has a program called the Skilled Workers Program where if you have a college degree you can find a job in Canada, live there for three years and pay them 1200 bucks and boom you're a citizen. Get a degree in mexico and then apply at a gaming company in Canada and apply for the skilled workers program. There's lots of big development companies in Canada, Ubisoft has a huge studio in Montreal. Go for it man!

Canada and the UK sound great, however I did not get my college degree, I had to drop out of school in order to work and help my parents when I was just about to graduate. Unfortunately I cannot go back to school since the school's regulations state that once a student is out, is out for good, so I would have to start all over on another institution/school. At this point I can barely afford my own expenses and also I'm not eligible for education scholarships. So in my spare time I try to make something like programming projects such as games or basic systems to keep learning.
Rob St Just don't give up man. Unity, Unreal Engine 4 and Source Engine 2 are all free to download now and there are lots of great tutorials on how to make games in them on RUclips. Particularly for Unity. Also if you go to codecademy.com or W3schools.com there are great tutorials on programming and if you make some good stuff I'm sure a gaming company would be able to use your skills. Just keep at it man. Even if you can't get a degree you can still prove your skills. You can do it.

Just finished watching all these interviews. And I think I do have it. I want to work at Bethesda Game Studios when I graduate in 4 years. I'll be the best new programmer they could ever ask for.
I believe in his words. You gotta learn to make something on your own and show your passion. Which is why I'd love to do my own web series on RUclips or various places to upload it online. Then and only then, if someone see's my determination and work they'll possibly hire me. I don't plan to be an editor which is one of my flaws, had a friend who wanted to be a director, but he ended up becoming an editor which kind of makes me back off on the editing bit. But in the end I really hope my writing, acting and directing are the only things noticed.
My dream job is to work as a Game Artist for a video game company and do the 3D modeling for either characters or the environment. I'm currently attending a vocational high school to take a course on design, and I believe that in a year or so, my class will be learning how to model things in a 3D rendering program.
