Great video, im 5'10 Hispanic guy so defense is my go to in order to stay on the court and get picked up if we lose lol its a good feeling with other hoopers say "good defense man"
On the slide sprint we see just past the 5 minute mark, decelerate by putting pressure on the outside heel of your inside foot. For example if you’re running to your left, On the last step with your right foot put pressure on your outside heel with that step. This really helps you decelerate and prevents the hop at the end that you see here. Use this when you’re running into your jump shot as well

@@VisionDrivenBasketball i cant do the Kobe drill or the hip flip drill but if i add more reps to the drills and do them twice a day would it compensate for it?

@@zehluhs their hips becuase thats where there body is really going and you need to be smart and watch the fakes and its important to use your arms like putting it on their hips to slow them down and other hand to contest there is a couple of videos that get it more in depth
Trap Kid gotcha. My opinion is that you should look at their hips. They can head fake you, they can eye fake you, they can jab with their feet, but they can only go where their hips go. That’s always been what I do.

The ankles should be warmed up with mobility drill before hopping or jumping drills. Hips should also be warmed up prior to dynamic movements.
