Thank you so dang much! I'm always surprised that people enjoy the videos and these types of compliments are so humbling. Thank you again and I really hope you enjoy all that's still to come.
Ever since the trip to Vegas, Kirby keeps asking me for money again and again. Poor thing must be having surprise bills come up or something....That's gotta be it.
@@Zerbraxi please do a video on this lost gem of a racer. When I was but 10, this and top gear were my racers. Still to this day uniracers is comfort food for me sometimes. Also, I hear it has an interesting pre/post development story........
Shame you didn't like Meta Knightmare more, it's the way I tend to play the game more often. I like how he changes things up, and it's supposed to be harder so the fact everything isn't exactly designed for him is fine, and completely beatable.
Those dead frames are probably how they managed to get the game running on the NES, by cutting down on hitbox math. Which may got carried as a "feature" while it was more of a workaround. But I barely tried the game nor looked into it, unhealthy quantities of salt advised.
34:00 Excuse me, but why should Kirby listen to Dedede in this moment? Dedede absolutely refuses to explain himself and he was taking a BATH in the Fountain of Dreams at the start of the game. Also Adventure takes place immediately after Dreamland 1 where Dedede was the main bad guy, remember? He has no reason to listen to him. #kirbydidnothingwrong
It was mostly just how hilariously aggressively Kirby just ignored him. Kirby had a king groveling, begging, and he doesn't even acknowledge Dedede. #KirbyBeRealThugLife
@@Zerbraxi Lol I guess that's a good point, but let's be real here. I don't think anyone aside from his waddle dees and a handful of others even took his claim of kingship seriously at this point.
Okay, I *definitely* prefer the SNES music over the GBA renditions, despite the former being simpler. This while listening with DT770 Pros with the Steam Deck's DSP. The GBA's sound just seems gritty and off.
Interesting. I'm definitely a fan of the additional layers the 16-bit renditions provide over the 8-bits. Though I wonder if the "gritty" noise your mentioning is the unique sound the GBA has. I also often hear people mention that the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive sounds "muddy" compared to the SNES. I don't hear that but it's interesting how the views can be so different in terms of taste.
maybe it's just nostalgia talking (kirby's adventure was literally the first game i ever played) but the gba renditions just don't hit the same. with the vegetable valley example you used, i much prefer the "instruments" used in the original than the gba version. the final boss theme is also much crisper to me in the NES version. i do agree with you about green greens, the composition is much more elaborate in the best way!
10:08 Kirby and The Amazing Mirror would bring two of those ability ideas to fruition, with Mini Kirby and Missile Kirby.
Oh that's really cool! Glad they never gave up the dream on those.
I'm really excited to get to play Amazing Mirror for the first time.
Dude how can you only have 921 subscribers, your Wow contet was great and this is just amazing.
You have a great personality for the content you make

Annoying to see how the algorithm seems to bury your stuff man -- these retrospectives are great!
I appreciate that so much! I'm so honored by how many people are so nice about the videos.
You Demonstrated some solid Suck Skills right there compadre. You do pink blobs proper justice.
My personal goal in life is to be a suck skill master. I'll be the champion sucker one day. I swear it!
Did kirby do much gambling in vegas? Also, I bet he was the king of that prison. All the other criminals are now reformed... out of fear!

@@Zerbraxi Bet Kirby got Ripped in Jail though. Or he ate a guy who already was. Probably look a bit like Majin Buu 😅

I think just the clear surprise of how un-designed it was for him was just a bit of a shock. Mostly because everything else is so expertly crafted.

That's a pretty fair argument. I've heard the same about many other 8-bit titles so it's totally possible.
