In my opinion I would’ve left the H- pipe got them to install hi-flow cats H pipes promote exhaust scavenging at low to mid range of rpm’s the whole back pressure thing is just a myth it’s all about exhaust scavenging
The H pipe on these cars were a gimmick….. if you cut it in half you would see the inside is only about the diameter of a dime …. Would have been better swapping in a real H pipe or an X
I would off gone with American racing headers and X pipe. It would have sounded so much nicer. Also no back pressure equals loss of HP. I don’t care for that fake dual real window sticker either. Not making good choices for his Corvette
@@WilliamRafusback pressure is used to push valves closed on a lot of engines. Plenty of times you mess up the pressure it was designed to have and it’ll be evident

The stock H pipe on the c5 midpipe is actually kinda fake. There’s only a 1“ hole drilled in either side. The “wooshy” sound these things make stock is the air rushing back and forth between the holes. I love that sound, most people don’t.

Why would you get rid of the H pipe and go to straight pipe? You are costing the customer horsepower. The H pipe (or X pipe) is used to scavenge exhaust and increase HP. You lost ALL of the exhaust scavenging by doing that. What the F were you thinking?

Like my exhaust more refined and smooth should've left H pipe in place but it's his car.
High flow cats would be nice. Then a corsa extreme cat back with an H-Pipe or X-Pipe
