You can't restructure contracts in the NBA. Only way to sort of do that would be if a player is heading into their player option year, they could opt out of their player option & re-sign for less. But none of these guys are close to the end of their contracts. They're stuck unless if they trade one of them.

And if you trade him, its lottery time... So you better hope the picks you get back are great since you don't have your picks left.
And realistically the picks won't be good, because terrible teams aren't going to trade a pick for an old KD. Its going to be late pick they get back.
Worst case scenario is to lose KD, get a great draft position just for that pick to go elsewhere. You don't want to be bad when you don't have your pick, ask the Nets how that worked out for them... They built the Celtics core by sucking when BOS had their picks.

The Phoenix Suns should run it back next year. KD, Booker, and Beal barely played together this year. Maybe if they get more playing time together things can start to improve. However, they do not have a good defense.

I would trade Booker for 3-4 very solid role players. Make it a 3 or 4 team trade to get creative enough to add the right pieces. Moving booker will allow beal to play his natural game. Beal cant be moved easily b/c of his no trade clause.
I’m calling this rn: OKC trade Giddey, Cason Wallace, another role player, and as many 1st as it takes to get KD. OKC would still have like $7M in c cap space (depending on who the other role player is) plus the MLE to fill out the roster. The Suns could then use those multiple 1st to reshape their roster while also getting out of the 2nd apron.

Suns needs to trade Bradley beal, get some pieces. They need more athleticism, PG, and length for defensive purposes and I think they're good to go. Beal has no-trade clause, that's the problem. BUt they need to get some pieces.
It's now a question of how many years they want to waste in denial. They can't win with what they have so at some point they are going to have to accept that there's no way out of this other than a long slow slog back to normal. They may as well trade KD and Devin Booker and get started, however slow the process may be.

KD has one of the most overrated legacies ever. He's played with nothing but hall of fame caliber players his entire career, a majority of them in their primes, yet the only time he's been able to win was when he joined a team who had already won one prior to him joining, & also won after he left. He would be ringless if he hadn't gone to GSW. Obviously he's a great player, probably the greatest scorer ever imo, because his jumper at that height is so unstoppable, but the guy is basically just a stats getter. His stats do not necessarily translate to winning chips. He doesn't really lead teams. He doesn't really make his teammates better. He just goes out there & scores.
