      Then he requested a trade to the Rockets who had gone through Chuck twice in a row to get 2 championships. Chuck had blown a 2-0 lead and then a 3-1 lead to the Rockets before requesting to be traded there. Do yall even do your research or just back him because he trashes KD?

      Ime goes there and causes a scandal, then the Nets try to get him back after Steve Nash shows us he wasnt meant for the job. But they let the Celtics talk them out of hiring him. Then the owner was a complete idiot who was trying to find any reason to have an issue with Kyrie also.

      @ninocrown3247 18 дней назад +6

      Well they made a huge mistake, especially since Oden had injuries in college at 7’1 280. I always heard because the Blazers had Lamarcus Aldridge, who was playing at an All Star level at that time, they needed a center not a PF.
      Same reason Portland chose Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan in 1984. They had Clyde Drexler at SG and needed center, Hakeem was a sure bet, but went #1, so Bowie was the 2nd best center in college and was taken at #2. Like Oden he had injury issues in college. Portland made the same mistake twice, 20 years apart 🤦🏾‍♂️

Steph just gets a pass, but when Draymond is acting a fool on the court, Steph is usually recorded walking away with his mouthpiece hanging out his mouth in frustration or sitting on the bench sulking, sometimes with a towel over his head. Steph just gets a pass for not being a good leader, where KD didn’t.
      KD’s legacy probably would have been better if he stayed in OKC or settled in GS to win 3-4 chips. But between Draymond saying they didn’t need him, the Team President making that slick comment about KD at the championship parade and people constantly doubting him as a “real Warrior”.

    I can't down KD for being a great player who isn't the team leader. Jrue was the leader/driver for Milwaukee, and Giannis was the engine. Steph has the luxury of being the best shooter, Franchise player, and just happens to play PG. That's like being Magic with Birds shooting/scoring ability. No one's taking that spot, and someone will catch hell trying to replace him when he's gone. KD is KD. Period! He's always been the same highly effective, highly efficient, and highly productive superstar he is today. He's wise enough to know that doing CP3's job would destroy his love for the game. Even Steph learned how to let Draymond facilitate for the team, so he can be free to just play the game the right way. Leader is not for everyone. MJ needed Pippen to be the bridge between he and the team, and both Kobe & Shaq needed Fish & other vets to do the actual team leader thing because they were competing for #1 offensive option. KD is the ultimate weapon because he is good at everything. He's just not a natural TEAM leader, just the most dangerously versatile "go to" weapon on every team he's been on. Beale was a hideous trade. He's been a lone wolf, like Dame, for his whole career. He's had complete autonomy without true help. He was the Box Office draw. It took CP3's pure PG leadership to stabilize Phoenix, and they've been lost without him. It's D-U-M-B to build your team around 3 wing players who can average 30, but have no PG running the show through a Big. It's a poorly constructed roster, and you're asking scorers to facilitate. Scorers facilitate THEIR offense 1st, which is why KD's best option was he, Booker, CP3, and Ayton. That combo maximizes point production because that's 80-100pts per game without including any others. Age got CP3. KD & Book need a Center or PF & a PG. There's no balance, just space. You can't give scorers space AND the ball for 4qtrs. They'll play well, and lose games the would win with a floor general & a presence in the paint. A floor general takes complete command in crucial moments, waving off scorers, in favor of dominating the flow of the game & the clock. They're calling specific plays to get specific shots that draw fouls or stress the defense into positional mistakes. Scorers don't see the game that way. They're gonna score until it's over, then look at the scoreboard. You can't demand a player become who he's not. Some things are natural to some people, hence Steph deferring to Draymond. Steph is a PG because he was too small to play any other position, yet too good to sit or cut. Let's have more perspective. It's the old "unwilling or unable" question.

And if Durant chooses to take the bare minimum salary to join the Nuggets just to prove he can win off the Warriors, that would be the antithesis of his primary goal which is leading a team who hasn’t won a championship.
