CP3 whilst not perfect was a far better fit and easier to move given his contract size and it being non-guaranteed. Now the got 2+1 years of Bradley Beal left with his no trade clause still lurking. It was one of the worst contract in the NBA when they traded for it and probably is the worst right now !
the brooklyn experiment showed the high risk of such super teams. If one star gets hurt - there goes 30 millions and 1/2 or 1/3 of your firepower out of the window.
The problem with superteams is that in order to aquire a star, you gotta sacrific alot of dept and assets which would usually lead to a top heavy team(No depth).
Depths was not the Suns main problem, team composition was. None of the 3 stars can really playmake, and they all play very similar positions as Durant mainly sticks to the perimeter nowadays, add greyson allen and you play a team that starts 4 SGs.

2:23 I always wondered if ANT was serious about that remark. I think he was complete serious, but that statement is so ridiculous. This is not a knock on MCdaniels, but Durant is one of the top players in history.
The trade for Nurkic and Allen for Ayton i could live with (Allen was very good this regular season), however the Beal trade was an absolute gut punch.
CP3 whilst not perfect was a far better fit and easier to move given his contract size and it being non-guaranteed. Now the got 2+1 years of Bradley Beal left with his no trade clause still lurking. It was one of the worst contract in the NBA when they traded for it and probably is the worst right now !
Yeah well CP3 was also aging out.
Gotta do a part 2 with the Milwaukee bucks next
Yes
the brooklyn experiment showed the high risk of such super teams. If one star gets hurt - there goes 30 millions and 1/2 or 1/3 of your firepower out of the window.
At 4:24 you can see how fast the timberwolves contested each player on the suns. Great defense!!
Defensively too
as much as i love Nurk (yes, i'm a blazer fan), i'm glad we got Ayton and Camara.
I'll never forget that broken leg injury, makes me scream in the morning
Ryan Davis wasn’t lyin 😂😂
Been saying it since day one. BEAL AINT THE REAL DEAL
They went with the foolproof strategy of simply not having a point guard lmao
I just don’t know why the got Beal they could have got 4-5 well decent players for his 50mill contract 😊
I remember at the start of this season when the Suns were puffing their chests because they acquired Beal. I was....unimpressed. No defense, no depth I said. A friend who bets on the games was trying to convince me that Phoenix was a scary team that I was taking way too lightly. Fast forward a few months and all of a sudden he's betting on Minnesota. 🤣
Great video covers Andy let's be fair they never played a whole season together if it's a failure then you can make this video 10 times
Someone who joins the enemy team after just losing a 7 game series to them is the weakest move ive ever known
Booker still got the Mamba Mentality.
😂😂😁
The “developing young talent” then pan camera to some random 10 year olds is exactly phoenix’s situation 😭
I could swear we had this same exact discussion a few years ago about the nets… see a common denominator?
Booker: “respectfully, idk how they finna guard us.”
Me as soon as that clip dropped: “Book, how are YOU gonna stop anybody? Y’all dumped yall whole defense and depth! Yall can drop 140 all yall want, but it won’t matter if the other guys keep dropping 150.” And boooy, was that right
i can't hear tobias harris without hearing jimmy buckets yelling it anymore.
I only play franchise on 2k24 and when I say trying to pick teams are harder then it looks that’s why I had to restart so much
This has “Not 1, not 2, not 3” energy
The comparison to the Garnett-KG BKN is such an accurate comparison. Suns should pray they don’t end up being the Nets of the west. 😂
Every superteam that were made after 2019 including the 2013 Brooklyn Nets, after BIlly King Trade, plus new owners say they want to win a title in 5 years, but gets nothing but broken dreams.
I always hated how that McDaniels quote went viral. Like nobody is saying he's a KD level talent. What Ant was saying was that McDaniels' defense could help neutralize that scoring threat.
