This is fucking hilarious. Nicely done. At the beginning I was like, “wait for the beat to drop about that anger issue.” I love Alanis and I think she’d love this.
I truly hope you are being funny and not serious cause I have laughed and face palmed several times at your analysis. And it’s hilarious. Omg vcr and dvd. How did you get there lol
@@professorlyricsphd478 You realize that what you've shown is a lyric video, and neither the official video nor the audio for this song. I'm pretty intuitive myself, so whatever the hell you were talking about vcr etc had absolutely zero to do with this song. If you're going to lead this reaction channel with the (I think excellent) idea of focusing on the lyrics - any video representation (including the artists imo) is incidental. That said, the official video by Alanis Morrissette is the closest you're going to get to the artists intention, but I personally am much more interested in your reactions without any visual context. Which is how the song was ostensibly written. Looking forward to more in this very uncrowded niche of reaction vids.
@@professorlyricsphd478 I can respect your years of studies. I have a few years of studies myself. However in this case I am going by actual interviews i have seen through the years, from the artist herself. Having of become a fan way back in 95 when this came out. I was 13 at the time. In the end though It is a song. Meant for use to enjoy and it does not matter.
This obviously is some obtuse effort to be ironic and to put people on. The literal interpretation by some posting here is funnier than the professor’s quirky presentation. One hopes with these bad puns and fuzzy put on’s he is fully tenured because not working is horribly inconvenient when he shops for his 90’s video cassette players at vintage stores that have m and m’s stuffed in them as they are loaded with dust.
Anybody that doesn't understand that this is satire need to get off the internet for a while, buy a vhs player and watch police academy all the way through
Ha - your original take was so WRONG.. lol... this is an awesome "diss of the ex" song... you should watch the video... thanks for your reaction... (it's totally NOT about DVD's & videos... it's about real feelings...)... You are so lost on this... unless you're totally having us on... which I hope you are... (seems a bit planned... lol)
Omg! 😳 Every woman I know, knows EXACTLY what she meant. EVERY word she said she LITERALLY meant. This man destroyed her and she let him know it! Worst channel ever.
The true meaning behind Van Halen's "Hot For Teacher" ruclips.net/video/ZtaSZGKrLO4/видео.html
Sometimes lyrics are exactly what they say. She was not speaking metaphorically she was pissed
She does seem quite angry now that you mention it.

Thank you! Please consider describing to my channel - I'll do more Jagged Little Pill in the future. 💊
Bless your heart in the beginning ..... 😂😂
🤣🤣

It's complicated 🤣.. and thank you.

Literally out of his mind

You live in an alternative universe
Is this guy serious? It doesn't seem possible!
Very interesting analogy and analysis!

Too funny!!
Thank you! Hit the describe button - plenty more on the way! 👍
Its not about any of what you say it is. It is literally about her ex.
Perhaps, but based on my years of study, it's figuratively about a jilted Video Cassette Recorder.

Good God! Never seen anybody over-analyze to this extreme! VCR vs. DVD??? Dude, you were joking, right????
Where is the video ?. This is RUclips NOT YouAudio SHAME ON THE MESS.
I'm gonna get my VP of Translation on this comment.
I actually think he's putting us on. Absolutely idiotic
Thank you for your support! ✌
Did you listen to the song?!😒
Interesting angle dude, but seriously, are you serious?
I think so, but I'm still running the lyrics past my analytical artificial intelligence department.

I hate this song more than anything ever recorded. Always have...but, your "positive'" take is cracking me up.
The anger does seem a tad over the top for a simple VCR.
