If I could expand a little on this take if you dont mind? So it wasnt Stinkfest or Stinkfist! It was Stuckfist all this time! Damn we all had it wrong all along! So the one thing you missed or didnt think about that supports my stuckfist theory is Laser Discs! You forgot about Laser Discs Movies. because.. Laser Discs was to DVDs as were Beta Max was to VHS of their times! For all you Gen X's, Y's and Z's and all you Millenium folkers too! Laser Discs were Gargantuan Record sized DVD's and you even had to flip the disc over to see the 2nd half of the movie! But you could easily get elbow deep inside a Laser Disc packaging! Side note remember when Blockbuster dvds started adding those stupid flip tabs on 3 sides of the dvd boxes? Like little locking tabs that snap down over the top bottom and front sides of the box? That was unnecessary and rude Blockbuster! Thats why I stopped renting and stealing your movies off your shelves! It wasnt worth all the time and turmoil to open them!
