    I like the style of the bike! At my age,...52,...I could live with a 250cc bike,...run around town,commute back and forth to work,and scenic rides in the country,...it's all the bike I would ever want or need! I looked at bigger bikes,...but again,..at my age,...I don't need one,nor do I want one! Doesn't look too big or too small!

    A very fair review. I use mine for bopping around the lanes and some slightly longer trips. Very pleased with it, and not too tempted to return to the cost and weight of owning a high performance 750 again.

    I just sold my Moto Guzzi Norge, and a few months ago I sold my Honda pacific coast, a 1994 that I used as a commuter for 24 trouble free years. Now the only machine I have left is my Honda GL 1800 Goldwing. I want to get a 250 street bike. I really like the Suzuki TU 250 four stroke single. I have more fun ringing the neck of a 250 then putting around on a machine like a ninja 600 or my old FJ 1200. You just can’t ring their neck on the street and survive for long. This Suzuki GW 250 is one I never considered. In this video pointed out that it is a full-size motorcycle. I rode raced 250s back when they were two strokes, a Yamaha RD 250. That machine would actually do 105 miles an hour with the mirrors and turn signals removed in a 16 tooth Countershaft sprocket by the radar display at one of the race track so I raced that. But that was actually on the first or second lap. By the end of a 15 lap sprint, it was lucky to do 95, but completely stock including the top on the airbox and the stock air cleaner. I learned in my early years of road racing that the factory actually knows more than I do, and I always left my machines alone after I modified my first road racing machine into a pile of junk.
    This machine I see them from time to time for sale on craigslist. I’m going to go check it out. Thanks for the good review

    This review convinced me to buy one, in black too. The colour disguises that bizarre front mudguard somewhat. A simple no nonsense bike that is bloody brilliant

    It’s a good bike. I’d put mine up for sale and then test rode a few bikes like the MT03 and realized how uncomfortable they were in comparison to Inazuma GW250. I cancelled my plans and am happy to have kept this bike with me.

      Yes I've just bought one and it's brilliant... I've had other bikes 850 cc 650 cc and all.. but in this day and age.. you don't need anything else....👍

      Can it handle motorway speeds (70-75mph) well?

    • @jessesebastiansamuel
      @jessesebastiansamuel Год назад

      It’d be a bit strained at that speed but only a bit. I’ve gone 85 mph on it, which is really wringing it but it’ll go there.

    Just an up date I bought the inazuma had it 6 months now I have used it for commuting fun and did 1300 mile tour of Wales on it in june this little bike didn't miss a beat. It's the best £1500 I have spent the last day of the tour was the longest purdy in wales back to essex and she was fine on the M4 shame my arse wasn't I was in the company of some big adventure bikes and not once did I think I needed more power these are cracking little all rounders and dead easy to service yourself

    I'll second that it isn't a long distance bike. I rode mine from Doncaster to Naples, with camping gear. I really could have used a fairing.
    Too many people judge bikes against the biggest and fastest available, as if anything less is a poor compromise, nice review!
    I bought my bike as a learner bike (when I lived in New Zealand). The main reason was the looks, as to a non biker, it is big enough for NZ locals to think it could be a gang member bike, couple that with no Hi Viz and black leather jacket, and you become ultra visible. Shame we don't have a gang problem in the UK, they really are fantastic for getting motorcyclists seen!

    Hi Harry. I bought a Suzuki 250 new in 1994. It was an RGV250P and apart from the capacity and number of cylinders, it was the total opposite of yours!! 60bhp 130mph & 30mpg!

    I went to GT's in Plymouth to take a look at one of these. I don't want a sports bike or a poser bike, just a bike that well, ok, does look nice, will be reliable and good on economy, I'm a little worried that being 17.5 stone, I might be to heavy for this bike. I plan to use it occasionally for work (34 miles round trip) and for country side rides with my wife. She WONT go on a big powerful bike and that's another reason why I thought of a 250. I'm going on a test ride today. One last thing though, I sat on three GW250's. One was high up in the saddle?

    😊我的gw250已经使用10年了,我经常用它跑长途 ,我对它的定义是“跨市最佳选择摩托车” ,如果跑1500km以上的长途(前提是赶时间的话)它显得动力有点不足 ,不可否认的是它任然是一台优秀省油的摩托车!
    来自中国 ,已经行驶80000km😅

    Still riding it? If you DO decide to upgrade, may I suggest something from the Honda CB500 line-up? You look like a big guy, maybe the CB500X. They get the same fuel economy as the GW, even with twice the power.

    I wouldn't recommend a 125, like a Honda CB125E. They just take too long getting up to 80km/h and struggle to go over 90km/h. This Suzuki I am interested in as a Commuter.

    • @ChildrenOfDesire
      @ChildrenOfDesire 4 года назад

      I had a cb125e and would not recommend it at all, it doesn't have a tacho, doesn't have fuel injection so requires quite a bit of warm up, you can't really get up to any amount of speed in first gear and are almost always riding out each gear to get any semblance of speed. It put me off motorcycling for a while.

    I live in the states and I'm trying to get opinions from people who own a gw 250 I've been looking at ninja 300 cbr 300 here the highway speeds are 70 to 80 mph. I'm 48 yrs old and lime you I've had big bikes with way more power than anyone in there right mind needs. talking about 170 mph bikes. what is your take on these bikes. would I be better with the ninja 300

    • @HarryBunnGRVOTV
      @HarryBunnGRVOTV  7 лет назад

      The gw250 is nice cruising at 65mph - if your in the 70-80mph then the ninja is definitely a better choice, i'm sure if i had a ninja I'd be just as happy as it has many of the same positives and running costs are just slightly higher.

    The majority of motorcycle riders here in Canada are wealthy middle age men who don't care about saving gas. I have a GW250. It's a good bike but after 3 years I really want something faster. Especially for highway riding

      Don't think about distances but about time and driving styles. Going to work on a car will cost u more time on the road and more accelerations and that means more fuel. My audi a4 with the six gear in the highway doesn't do the difference but if u have to be changing between the first and the fourth you will have such a big difference bro
