    I owned virtually every one of their albums when I was a kid. "Pronounced" is one heck of a debut record.

      I had every Lynyrd Skynyrd album not virtually but in actuality. Sorry man just had to be a smart-ass for a minute. I love your enthusiasm and this is one of the greatest bands ever.

    I only consider the original Skynyrd to be Skynyrd. I miss these guys so much! Went through high school with their first few albums/music. So killer! Thanks much for your reaction!
    Also, I don't regard the R&R Hall Of Fame with any credibility, so I couldn't care less what they think, they are so FOS!

    Even tho this is their hardest song, I still enjoy MISSISSIPPI KID, THINGS GOIN ON, MADE IN THE SHADE.

    3 guitarists, yeah! What a killer track! Even though I am principally an electric guitar fan, Billy Powell always blows me away when he comes in. Ronnie's voice is just perfect for their sound. Honestly, there is no weak link in this phenomenal band.

    Hey La and Che from Ned in Spain. Everybody's killin it on this but MVP Leon Wilkeson's bass is phenomenal. He deserves a lot more attention and respect. This tune also reminds of classic James Gang like Funk 49 and The Bomber. All good things to you both. Adios

      @@shawnm4189 I was aware of that . He played bass on most of the first LP except on Tuesday's gone & 1 other track I can't think of now . Hard to think that it was him on Bass on the Freebird recording !!!!

    Only around from 73-77,all I can do is write about it is last song on gimme back my bullets album, deserves a listen,that whole album is gold..I believe only album they released with two guitars instead of their signature 3,

    I saw the Artimus Pyle band this past Saturday night. What a band! They sounded like they were in the studio. If you like Skynyrd, go see the A.P. band.

    I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I never heard this one before and they’re one of my top three favorite bands! The beginning reminded me a little of Steely Dan - a little more funky/jazzy than usual Skynyrd fare. But once Ronnie’s vocals kick in there’s no mistaking who it is 🤘Awesome stuff right there. Skynyrd just doesn’t have any bad songs in their arsenal!

    60 year old musician guy here and I love all kinds of music from all over the world and from all different times and I've spent a lot of my life playing music of all different kinds including original stuff but I will say, Lynyrd Skynyrd from a musician's point of view is a real treat every freaking time.     You guys are the best in the business. You have a well rounded appreciation of so many musical styles. I honestly never made the connection between this song and Funk, but it is clear as day. Totally made sense after Che mentioned it! Funk happens to be my second favorite genre, after classic rock. Thanks for the awesome reaction! I will keep the Skynyrd tunes coming to you!

    but this is important: Never say, "I love Lynyrd." You say, "I love Skynyrd." Or "Skynyrd rocks." As new Skynyrd fans (not Lynyrd fans) you gotta know this. Anyway good job. Keep playin Skynyrd, guys!

    This riff is an awful lot like Funk #49 by the James Gang. However Lynyrd Skynyrd is my favorite American band.

    My favorite of this album, which is saying a lot.
    Definitely check out I Ain't the One! I guarantee you guys dig that one as well. It's an awesome intro track, with a very catchy guitar riff with a dope solo. They set your expectations high for the rest of the album, and they deliver! It's brilliant front to back. Entering with I Ain't the One, and finishing with Free Bird, with hits and groovy album fillers in between. These guys had such an awesome sound, from vocals, to guitar, to bass, to keys.

    Love some more Skynyrd! Great banger guys, for another, do That Smell, it rocks out, big time as well. They always deliver.
    I see some comments with Funk #49 by The James Gang with Joe Walsh on killer guitar, if you have not heard it, you should, if you have, check out the James Gang Live with Stop, they killed it. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶

    Y’all picked up on that perfect! That whole song came from a bass riff that Ed King came up with! Very funky! If you listen real close to the guitar riff it changes just a little with each chorus.

    Your assessment is totally accurate. Lynyrd Skynyrd was definitely a group with a lot of influence and players who were open to lots of genres to incorporate. If you want some more AWESOME southern rock, definitely look into Blackfoot and Molly Hatchet. Not quite as eclectic as Skynyrd were but both great bands with some awesome tracks.

    RVZ and the guitar onslaught of Skynyrd is legendary, unfortunately sometimes overshadowing the rhythm section and Billy Powell, sooo good. Leon Wilkenson could really put it down.

    I dont believe they made ANY bad music. Southern Rock started with Taj Majal, Then the Allman Bros took it up with vituoso muscianship. Then Skynyrd took it from there. IMO those 3 bands ARE southern rock period. Grand Funk and Ted Nugent should also be in the RR HOF.
