I might but at the moment there is still some work being done on it. Changes since the video include; - New cabins - Improved station logic - Some design upgrades - Fixes to a couple of problems with the functions
Ever since the draggable wedges came out, people have been making some truly epic creations, and, while really cool and, admittedly, pretty practical, this is but _one_ of many examples.
Also, is there any way to have a battery canister on the carts for the electric motors to run off of so it would be possible to make something like this in Survival?
That would make the gondolas very heavy and would run out eventually too, but the bigger problem would be how survival handles map loading, you'd have to keep the whole creation in render distance at all times or it would break down completely. (Creative always loads the whole map while survival only loads x amount of chunks around the player)
@ Well, that's a problem. It's only viable for short distances, like from an elevated base to ground level. The weight wouldn't really be as much of an issue if you use a smaller incline and the small wheels in place of the motorized pipes. It'd make the bogey more bulky, but I'd be one to focus more on functionality than form. The batteries running out would be a problem if one isn't autocrafting them and transferring batteries to the battery canister after every use.
The speeds are achieved by having two engines going at either speed and using special modded wheels that I can turn off friction with logic. That allows you to effectively engage the right speed. On a sidenote, this is totally possible in vanilla using bearing clutches or playing with friction of the 'rope'. It was only done modded to save on performance and allow me to have more cabins spawned in at once.
@xX_Fighter_Xx its a shame that it has to be modded. What about having the wheels double bearing? One engine speed is slow the other fast and have it so that when one is on the other is off? This, in my opinion, is an area where SM should consider adding some more control as it seems like all solutions are a bit tacky...
@@jakewynn totally agree with you, there should be more ways to control engines, like more functions for the controller. Double bearings are very possible but I avoided them here again for performance reasons, I was hoping with the new physics engine performance would've improved but seeing as it's basically only useful for lots of small parts that wasn't something I could make use of sadly.
you should release the world

Go team Wedges! It all looks SO good!

Love this ❤
really weird choice of music. I kept waiting for a horror scene to play out
Yo, nice build.
le epic cable car.
so cool!

THIS IS SO COOL. How do you get the 2 speeds?
