Martha & Mitch you are both doing a great job. Just remember your building this van for you both and no one else. Enjoy the process and then the journey you both will take and enjoy.
I don't know how I've missed the build series but I've got some binge catching up to do. This looks like a great build and from what I've seen the build quality looks fantastic. Shaping up to be an amazing van, thanks for taking the time to put the videos together for us :)
I must say, for your first van build you guys are a real inspiration. Compared to how little faith you had in yourselves with cutting in the windows up to now, the progress is pure motivation for us to who Vanlife is still a dream 🌱 so much love and support guys , love y'all 🙏🏻🖤
Hi, both being following you on your van build looks awsome full credit to you i am doing my first van build sooo stressful i have the same fridge can i ask were did you get your pull out sliders from plz im working my way through your channel so inspirational keep up the great work guys fantastic
Really classy job, well done.Just one hopefully helpful comment, make sure every wire that passes through a metal hole has a proper grommet. This is vital, they will rub,and I think you can guess the outcome.
You guys are doing a great job on your van build. And it’s so much more interesting for the viewer to see the struggles and solutions you’ve faced dealing with the unique challenges of building out a van-like wall curvature, etc-rather than just glossing over all that and making everything look easy. Someone else asked about your lightweight ply. Would you be able to say more about that? Is it poplar ply, and if so, where did you source it? We used a lightweight poplar/eucalyptus ply for our floor, but it didn’t look as nice as yours and the price was a lot higher as well. Thanks again, and good luck with the build! I’m looking forward to seeing where you are now since I know these videos are a few/couple months behind.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy more of the 'raw' format, we're not experts at this at all so we want to just show some hopefully relatable content for anyone converting or thinking of converting a van. It was local ply from a guy in Stoke On Trent that we found on Facebook Marketplace funnily enough, we believe he supplies Morland UK with their lightweight ply but also sells some on the side from his warehouse in Stoke. We were super fortunate to come across it. Thank you, we're catching up to real time, so this sunday's video you'll be seeing the van in nearly the final stages 😆
Where is the video of adding wall or wall cladding i can't find it in the last video it just appeared there Oo ? |EDIT i have gone back and forth on several videos and there is not one single clip of any wall going up and i have not seen any electric installation videos or celling videos yet ???
Hi guys just come across your Chanel and loving it. I will work my way through all your stuff 😊 Can you tell me where you got your fridge? Dose it work of gas 24v & 12v How you founding it? Is it a free as well? I’m thinking of doing one myself again and like your lay out. Best wishes Bodi.
Hey Bodi, thank you! We got our fridge from Ebay. I'm not sure, but we have it hooked up to our 12v system. It's a freezer and fridge or both section can just be a fridge, you can change the settings on an app on your phone or on the fridge itself.
Oh man that fridge has worked out perfectly and the van is really starting to take shape. I know you're worried about space but you've come from a VW, you'll need a map of the new one as it'll be so big in comparison. Ours is an L1H1 Boxer with a double seat by the sliding door, between it and the cooker the walkway is max 380mm, and it's fine. You'll be fine. Looking forward to seeing the final van. Any chance you'll be at Van Love Fest and showing off a finished product?
Some times we think we've got loads of room and are wondering if the light switch is 'too far away' and then sometimes we worry about walking space through the van, but we know once we're in it will all feel like one big hotel to us compared to the VW! No we would have loved to but we couldn't plan that well in advance to know if the build would be done or not, maybe next year though!
Watching this in the South of France, in my van that I’ve just finished converting. Your van looks so neat and precise, you’ll get so much pleasure and satisfaction out of travelling in a van you’ve built yourselves. Great work
That’s a good price for lightweight ply!! Where did you get it from please? The vans looking great! I felt exactly the same about all the work you do that it looks like nothing for ages then all of a sudden starts to come together 👍🏼

Remember ROME was not built in a day, these things take time and all ya need to understand is there is an END with an amazing outcome - YA HOME.....one important thing to remember also is its important to take TIME OUT for self during the process even if this means adding a week or two to your end goal. Ps....Great fridge outcome amazing how things sometimes just work out 🙂
Thanks Tyler! We're getting through it all now and can't wait to share this weeks improvement on the build. It's all coming together now and it will all be so so worth it!
Maybe rethink putting insulation in the doors. There might be water running through. Interesting video on that: ruclips.net/video/SwWyhTtSM5Q/видео.html it's German but you can understand it without the language
Thanks for the input, we hopefully stopped this from collecting there by clearing all the bungs in the bottom of the panels so any trapped water has somewhere to escape
Mitch is doing a great job considering it’s a first time effort, Well done peeps
Cheers!😁
