I just retired, and we own homes in N. IL and SWFL that was hit by Hurricane Ian. We're moving away from FL and I've been looking at the Foley, Summerdale, Robertsdale, Daphne areas. When we get our FL home sold, and we have cash in hand I'll call you guys. I'm glad I searched Foley AL on youtube. I'm surprised lower AL doesn't have very many homes with pools? In your experience is $60k a decent...rough budget number to have an ingrown pool installed?
Congrats on retirement! $60k was enough about 5 years ago but with inflation, everything's gone up.. I'd say that would put the pool in the ground but that may not cover concrete, dirt removal, etc. I'd budget for another $10k to be on the safe side. Thanks for watching and we'll talk soon!
There are older neighborhoods in Foley for sure! But hilly terrain this close to the water, not so much.. You can definitely find some wooded areas tho!
@@LivingInLowerAlabama we did drive through Daphne and Fairhope and noticed that there were rolling hills there (not big mountainous hills, but what they refer to as up and down rolling hills) we have a lot of this terrain here in Pensacola as well. Maybe Foley is flatter?
Yep! The further north you go, you'll start noticing a change in elevation. The closer you get to the beach, the flatter it gets. Check this out: en-us.topographic-map.com/map-fkrgkl/Foley/?zoom=10

Foley to the beach can be an hour if not more during peak season. It’s terrible making a trip to the nearby grocery store most days.
Great content
