- A car infamous for pushing boundaries and perhaps ahead of its time, the Sintura S99 has been described as one of the 'unicorn' cars of GT1 era.
Many thought it was lost, or butchered for parts, before resurfacing 25 years later at the incredible Rodin Cars automotive facility in New Zealand, in the hands of entrepreneur, and founder, David Dicker.
Originally purchased on a whim in the early 2000's, the automotive manufacturer saw a timely opportunity to revive the legendary Sintura and honour its racing legacy in time for its 25th year anniversary.
Spurred on by enthusiasm from the Rodin team, it was soon decided to enter the Rodin Sintura, featuring the in-house built 4.0L V10, into the 2024 Yokohama Time Attack Challenge, in Sydney Australia.
But time is against the team, with many mountains to climb before they can secure their place in the 2024 World Time Attack line up.
Follow the journey of the Rodin Sintura which is set to be more than just a restoration project; but a testament to the enduring appeal of innovation and Rodin's relentless pursuit of excellence.

Having seen the Sintura S99 run in British GT over 25 years ago, I'm over the moon to see her back out running again.
I think it is a new one. ust came from Rodin Cars youtube channel where they bought it and are making new ones! Never heard of it before, was quite fascinating

Wow !! I used to watch the Sintura battling with the Lister Storm GTL , Maclaren f1 , Porsche GT1 , and the rest. It was a great period in GT racing , with any team capable of wining on the day. Regarding engine sounds , I had the Sintura first with the Lister second. It's great to know the car is alive and well in Rodin's care and I'll be watching this project keenly......Excellent !

David Dicker is such an inspiration. As someone in the tech space in Australia, I can only admire his success with what he has achieved with Dicker Data and now Rodin Cars. Thank you for spending the resources to document such a cool project and showing an insight we mere mortals would rarely get to an opportunity to see.
so what races or rule set are you guys looking at? as lemans wec/elms/aslms/imsa is all hyper car, lmp2 and lmp3 are sepc chassis. i would guess something like the creventic 24 hour series would be a good shout, seeing as thier rule set is basically run what you brung.
Rodin should make more hypercars 😍 for the road, V10s and V12LSs hypercar 😳

Saw the HPA video on the engine and didn't see the scale and detail of this project... this is incredible. Well done, keep pushing lads. You might not have enough to take it this year but either way, the best part - you will prove your skills to do this in the first place, a viable chassis and car in race conditions and can build from that for 2025, while doing the Sintura proud!

I remember tuning into the 1999 ALMS race @ Laguna Seca and seeing the Sintura. Didn't know what it was at the time but instantly liked the car.

The GT1 Cars were always designed so they could be Converted for the Street.... so, yeah, they need to hook up with RML and get a Limited Production "Strabenwersion" out I agree!
