Does this method replace the remote wire?

If I’m using a one channel mono block amp that has a left and right channel RCA Inputs and I am running a single subwoofer, do I need to connect both of the RCA wires to both inputs on the amp? My head unit has 2 sub outs… would I just use one of the sub outs and use a Y-cable or plug both male RCAs into each sub out on the HU?

Isn't the voltage cut in half?

Will it still throw signal to subs if only using one rcas for 2 subs?
