when you have this situation with mini cooper keys spray or dip circuit in alcohol key will start back reading long enough to do add key function

Quick question, I have a AKL tomorrow, how can I know which Mhz to use?
scan it with the scanner and will decode the vin and then it will tell you what chip and mhz you need
I live in the Bahamas. That's the issue. Does the car have to be with you for the key to be programmed. Can it be done manually. I really need a replacement asap because I live on a remote island and that's my only means of transportation.
yea a person needs to be fiscally with the car to get it programmed.
I don't know how you managed to read the isn through obd I tried today and the 608 could not connect to the ecu

well I turned the hazards on and I pressed the start button with the key I wanted to program with the key inserted in the ignition switch and it pulled the code right away automatically.

Hello. I have a 2008 mini cooper r56 that I lost the key fob for. How do I get a replacement thats not expensive
I usually do this job for half the price of dealership and I go to ur home depending the area. like where I live the dealer charges 800 for a key all keys lost and I do it half price.

So no risk doing CAS3 through OBD with Autel then?
nop it went thru really smooth. as long as you have a valid subscription on the scanner and have been registered properly it programms mercedes, bmws, land rovers and more.
Yes its risky for cas3+ and up, for me started preprocessing and failed. Car not start, cas was corrupted. Was big problem ended up buying New cas module. 😢

2006 al 2014 son solo cas3, cas3+ cas3++?
2013 and up i think is cas3++
Hi, was this a new key ("virgin key") or a used key? Do you know if Autel IM608 Pro can virginize a Mini Cooper key?
it was a new key and the xp400 programmer can virginize the key too

I see you mention xp400 but can xp200 also virginize the key
