hey bro, the last part where you had to put the key and leave it and press ignition for 10 secs..... i saw you cut the video at that part.. what did you do to get it to work?? I'm having issues with that last part.. remote functions doesn't work and I've to brace key on coil for it to start

yea sometimes specially when is all keys lost
depends on the tool employed to do the add key or akl. autohex does it simple with little or no stress. just autohex is very expensive tool but among the best in its class.

Do you unplug the battery cars wires? Before you take off immobilizer from the car and after when returning immo box to the car if there is any changes on the firt key or on car systemes or something else
no need to unplug the battery just make sure the switch is off and u can remove the immo box.

Thanks for a great video (as always)! However, I did get lost several times from the middle of the video to the end. I've never done one of these FEM systems before so it's all new to me. But I really got lost after you wrote the EEPROM, reinstalled the FEM, took the FEM back out, did some more stuff, put the FEM back in, tried to learn the new key, learned it, key didn't start the vehicle, clicked on "Repair" and something got fixed so the key worked after that. I got (and am still) confused from 15:20 to the end. It seems you did several things (or maybe you didn't) that aren't on the video in that 7 minute span. From 15:45 (or so) to 16:15 you mentioned a bunch of things, ending with "you're going to get your original file. You have to disconnect just the power and plug the EEPROM. I already did that and it worked..." Then you had to get the password (would you have needed to get the password anyway, or was it because of the corrupt EEPROM that had to get restored?). Then, well, I was just lost. Not your fault. I just need to learn more.
ye these systems are a bit complicated sometimes I did it like that just in case it ever happens to someone that way you can restore it back in case you messed up. it's possible that it might work on the first try but yea that's how these new systems for bmw are designed.
@@JVFIXLLC I find BMW and Mercedes to be complicated maybe 5-10 times difficulty level, requering more tool investment and learning curve, on different models than Japanese and USA makes for sure. Just got im508 and BGOX so I have to learn. Did VW add key one time as far as Euro car lol. For sure, pay will be much higher once you are good at.

this process is for all keys lost if you want to add a key u can easily do it by obd2 together with the xp400pro and aki I have never used that one sounds more complicated lol
So what exactly did the Autel im608 do when you pressed write operation ? Just created another slot to use for standard programming?
yea it was done all automatically just following the steps. is easier when u add a key. when is all keys lost u need to disassemble module
Will this work for a 2015 manufactured in October 2014? Local locksmith is telling be 2015 and up are dealer only?

Why did you modify data file - so you can add a new key? I missed it - how did you save modified data before writing? I agreed with other I got lost but got some basic ideas.
What ODB connection cable/device did you use for direct connection?
When did you have to disconnect and connect car battery?

yea I think with xprog3 u van do it.
what if you have no working key every video everyone has a working key we need a video without working key AKL
with this scanner you can do all keys lost, is pretty much the same process. sometimes is difficult but with time you get experience and it becomes easier
Hi JVFIX..... I follow your video and everything went fine to the point of rewriting the original file... then adding the original key and the new key... but after that vehicle will not start and g=aive a bunch of codes on fem module,,, I noticed on your video fem module shows 15 codes/// I tried rewriting the original and the backup file.. now I get (Failed to get version information restore EEPROM data and retry)... any idea how can I reprogram the FEM to his original state... appears that my files got corrupted some how, any input is appreciated... Thanks. my vehicle is a 2017 BMW 330e. FEM module is identical.
if u have the valid subscription just go to main menu and hit programming and do a programming on the fem module and it will code it too.

no i don not, what car are u trying to read?

the scanner did it by itself I think it does something to the flash data not the actual eeprom memory, this process is for all keys lost but if u want to add a key it can be done by obd2

i am also lost why he read eeprom and then wrote it back it looked like all the bmw ive done so far with the IM608 just read password then add key so not sure why he did that but soon ive be doing one of these and ill find out then

You don’t have to flash the eprom when adding a additional key. Only if you have all keys lost is that correct??

the whole process takes like 20min if all keys lost and about 10min to add a key. the key I bought it on ebay for 20 dollars.

sorry about the confusion in the video I had a part on the video that I cut by accident. you can program the fob just using the USB and obd2 port and u will need the xp400 to generate the dealer key on a blank key.
So you dont even need to read eeprom on bench anyway to add a key its just needed if they keys are lost . For some reason you backup twice the same file to do the same procedure by obd2.😊
if it is all keys lost you need to read it but if you only add with this tool you can do it by obd2.

mini cooper is more easy. just plug obd2 and good to go

So your original "modified eeprom file" wouldnt load? why? So you had to flash the original "back up" file and then start over???Is this what happened? Hard to know cause you didnt really explain what happened, why it happened, or even show how you fixed it?

your clamp might probably not making good contact I had a similar issue too.
la pince autel ne fait pas une bonne lecture, pour faire une bonne lecture le mieux est de déssoudé l'eeprom

The clamp that comes with Autel never worked. Don’t blame the device for not reading the eeprom. I used another clamp that I used with carprog or other devices and Autel was able to read the eeprom.
yea I actually resolved that issue with the autel clamp by pulling the pins a bit out of the connector I was also having issues trying to read eeproms too.
Im surprised carprog eeprom clamp worked. I am suffereing with autel clamp

@@JVFIXLLC this is just add key. AKL will take you hours with autel including soldering and desoldering the eprom.
