Great looking little midge. Going to tie some up, and thanks as always. But... you didn't mash the hook barb! Oh, those out-of-luck fish lips! :-)

moveitfred quit telling people whether they should mash barbs or not, we have a right to choose whether to do it or not. Shaming sucks and its below true flyfishers so back off your critique, you are no more a conscientious fisher than i am. The author of this video didnt post to generate critique, he was sharing a pattern.

@@rodmccall9771 If you have watch any of his other videos, you would know that he most always starts by mashing the barb..I'm sure it was an oversight...and I'm pretty sure moveitfred was just teasing him..hence the smiley face at the end of his comment.

What is the cutting tool you use?

A viewer mentioned he sharpened the butt end of his tying tool. I think it was his whip finisher?

Don't just "see" it..do it! Then let us all know what color worked best for you?

Fantastic as always! Why not mention mashing the barbs anymore? I think it your vids are invaluable and watched by many. Mashing the barbs is a great practice that can reduce injury to cold water game fish.
