I caught my first trout on a fly rod today with this fly, the only difference is I tied mine with a brass bead and just a touch of black antron dubbing in place of the peacock (I didnt have any peacock at the time). Thank you for all the wonderful patterns you have taught and continue to teach us to tie. I hope one day my flies will look just a good as your. Thank you Tim
I tied my first fly (A Wooly Bugger) while watching your video explaining how. After that one I tied my 2nd fly whilst watching *_THIS_* video !! Thanks !!
Thank you for these clear instructions just got into fly tying and tied a couple of these tonight. Going out tomorrow morning to try out on some trout!
where do you buy your beads? I cant seem to find them. Everytime I find cyclops beads they are usually made of brass, but I see you picked them up with a magnet.
Dang , I think im ready to give it a go , held out for 6 years but you make it look. Fun

These have been super super effective on my local rivers
I have found that the Hareline peacock ice dub works very well in place of the herl and seems to last longer.
I love this fly I usually used some thread and a touch of dub but the wire lets me skip the led wire and it lasts a lot longer. thanks for the tip
Another great fly
HELLO CAN TUNGSTEN BEAD BE USED?
can I put a gold head or a copper one instead of a black one?

если нет у меня черной нити а есть brown olive могу ли я ее покрасить черным маркером водостойким и подходит ли крючок tiemco 2487?

Use tungsten beads and a permanent marker then dip them in head cement
thanks!
@@thefishguy8229 4 years late but that's a really good tip, thank you!
Tim,
Love the channel! What scissors do you use in the video for such small patterns?
Eric Casaburro I use medical scissors, they usually are REALLY sharp and they are really small, mine are stainless made in Germany so there sharp!
Is that ice cream stick contraption with the magnet on the end sold commercially? I can't seem find them anywhere
I believe he made it. Hobby Lobby: popsicle wooden stick and adhesive magnet cut and glued the popsicle stick- done!
Use magnet tape put it on a posicle stick then cut the edge
