I've had a lot of success in the last year with bushy collared patterns. This looks like it could earn a spot in the box
I really like this pattern.
I remember when Dave came out with the Red Squirrel Nymph, I also remember that Red Squirrel Pelt I bought to tie the fly too and the ensuing bug problem that followed too, while it took a little while to get the bugs under control, I never thought that nymph was anything special at least not in the waters I fished at the time. I did learn a lesson when buying such things as that pelt, they need to go into the freezer for about a week to ten days. That is what I did with another pelt the only source at the time, no bugs.
Kinda reminds me of a soft hackle hares ear. Looks killer. Thanks for your continued efforts educating us tyers
...yet another I need to tie and try! Thanks as always Tim!
Where do you get that thread cutting tool? Beautiful fly by the way.
Do you think you could do a video on the Kebari?
the fly on this video looks like a fancy woolly bugger
Where do you fly fish? I'm visiting New Jersey in a week and would love to go!
can you use mallard flank
How soft/malleable is the lead free stuff compared to std lead wire?
I really can't tell them apart.
Thanks
