I’ve not been able to add the flood light to my blink controller. With or without my camera. Any suggestions? The lights only blink once when the battery cover is replaced indicating power but other than that no motion or other method to turn the lights on is noticed on my system
I called blink customer service and they Could not fix the problem of connecting the camera/flood light to my controller so they replaced the flood light. It’s working now
This helped me more than the help link for blink, it was that plastic cover on the batteries on the flood light itself. That is hard to see. Thank you again.
Would you happen to have any ideas on getting the floodlight to find the camera? The lights flash when I close it up but once I plug it into the camera, nothing. No plastic piece. App & firmware are up to date. Still nothing. Thanks for any help. The video was great but my lights are not.
The metal clip on the back of the mounting bracket is the no drill vinyl siding clip. Would not suggest using it because of the weight of the unit with batteries installed.
I have the same flood light & I can't get the app to recognize the flood lights! They work bc they flash when I snap the cover back on but then nothing... any suggestions? Thx
Assuming you had the same problem I had, it was because I was adding the serial number of the floodlight itself, not the camera (which had it's own QR code inside). Hope this helps
Just bought one. Do I have to use the sync module too see my videos or can I use my subscription from my minies and watch recorded videos in the blink app?? Going to return to best by because they told me I see my recorded videos in my app because I have a subscription.
When will these companies stop making floodlights without cool white LEDs? Makes them not good for regular yard lighting or patio lighting. But good to see that they use D size batteries, so they last longer. When I was a kid all our toys were powered by D cells, even our flashlights. How anyone though that a AA battery would last long enough is beyond me. Overall, this floodlight is a pass because changing the batteries will be a pain for most people and many will forget and then the batteries eventually will cause corrosion to the contacts, due to the Alkaline. They do make rechargeable D batteries, but they will need to be recharged frequently.
Blink is designed for use with Lithium batteries, not alkaline. I have had my Blink setup for 2 years now and have only had to replace batteries once per camera
@@Liq38 the only benefit to Lithium is that they won’t leak and corrode the contacts. They don’t necessarily last longer than alkaline batteries, as it depends on the product and how often it’s activated. But physically larger batteries will last longer.
@TheNetGuy I have the same issue communication issue did you manage to solve it. I contacted the blink cc and they said it is my wifi .I contacted my service provider they say it is camera only 3 cameras have the issue blink Cc is not helping

the metal catch is for mounting in the seam if placed on siding
Right on! Thanks!

Glad to hear!!!
I have the blink, outdoor camera floodlight on batteries they’re very bright
Are those d cells okay to use or do you also need lithium batteries for those
Best system… easy set up and cost effective 😀
Mine stopped working 😭

Battery life?
6-12 months of occasional use. Less if in a high traffic area!
3 month
@@TheNetGuy I having problem with battery it’s running out in every 4 days
@Ghale115 are you watching it constantly or is it in a high motion area?
My lights wont come on
7:15 for the stupid plastic piece
Otherwise solid vid
Anybody know if you can attack this directly to a solar panel to avoid having to change the batteries in the floodlight?
He would need a set of rechargeable, batteries, a charge, controller, and a few other gizmos. So probably not.
