You should not fight Vectus until you’ve obtained the quest item “Dawn’s Gambit”, which is the end of a long quest chain that starts with the quest “Broodling Essence” from Tinkee in Burning Steppes. Having the item lets you clear the adds in a few minutes. Fighting the students without the quest item will take 30-45 minutes minimum, and they drop nothing other than +5 Argent Dawn rep which can be farmed in much easier ways.

I absolutely hated this dungen as a priest since tanks were never mindful of what I had to do. Between casting shackle undead, healing dps standing in the green gas, and line of sight issues with corners, tables, and poles, this is easily the toughest dungeon in the game for a priest.
Remember to: - reinstal system - clean PC - put fresh thermal past on processor and graphic card - make sure you have enough food and water for at least 7 days - check if bills for electricity and interned are paid - make sure you have spare mouse and keyboard in melee range (preferably whole spare PC just in case) - install addons and know how to setup them - if you have any pets find someone who will take care of them for next week - if you have wife, kids etc. Tell them you love them! No matter what will happend in next few days daddy loves you! And one day wil come back so be patient and stay stronk!

You left out a very important quest in the long line to get to Leonid Barthalomew! After Egg Freezing is Egg Collection! This messed me up big time and I went all over Azeroth retracing my steps until I finally did some digging on WoWhead - I was on the right track with Egg Collection sitting in my log the entire time. Wasted about an hour running around :( :( :(
great video , most player talk to raid everything after1 or2 weeks /facepalm , and dont realize at the start your gear suck and some instance are really challenging , 1 mistake in Scholomance and your party die because everything is link, i will add Scholomance is my favorite instance , agree rattlegore hit hard for a 5 man groupe

Just imagine, these kids today have guides like this where literally everything is explained to you in GREAT detail and you have dungeon finders and priority loot for everyone to enjoy. Back when I played you got lucky if an uncommon item dropped more than once, if you could find a full group within the same hour you started looking for one and I don't even think quest thelper or carbonite exsisted ( if you don't know what those two things are then don't even worry about it lmfao ) Funniest part is, when kids today brag about their accomplishments, its like " cool, how many youtube vids did you have to watch to figure that one out? " Lmfao.
Vectus shouldn’t be bothered with unless you have the quest item that turns the students into skeletons. The students have an insane health pool and dont actually drop any loot, not even silver/runecloth. Vectus/Marduks loot table is very limited so don’t waste your time in this room at all, at least until you can kill the students with the quest item

Great guide really helpful but I think you should have just said when the horde and alliance quests line up instead of showing the same footage multiple times.

if you're already level 60 is it worth investing the time into doing the dungeon "pre-quests" or whatever they are.. like.. are the rewards good for lvl 60s or is it just for xp? coz i kinda cba to do all that shit rather jus do the dungeon lol ima lvl 60 mage with no dung gear.. only quest gear and stuff from auction house.. me and my friend leveled 1-60 together we're heavily undergeared tho im mage hes warlock
One of the swords you get from a quest is pre-raid BiS, and then casters have a lot of Pre-Bis items drop from the skeleton room, I forget what the teachers name was, but he drops a bunch of nice items, but only available through the quest
Healers can generally come in at slightly lower level, just make sure your tank is beefy, if its a low level healer and tank, you might have a bad time

Do you have to have the quests to complete? I justplayed scholomance on red and we couldn’t get past the altar because we did not have blood.
I watched this to get more info on hearthstones next expansion, did not dissapoint

I ran this dungeon so many times trying to get the Lightforged Helm back in 2005
Remember to:
- reinstal system

I think Vectus drops a couple of BiS caster items, which is the only thing making him desirable - not sure if the work is worth the reward though
