I'm surprised he didn't end up getting into the origin of that first game. It was mentioned that it was a cartoon based on a movie, but he didn't say what movie. That would be the David Duchovny starring Evolution. That's the one where he adlibbed getting his whole ass out.
Max Steel came out in 2000, it was a CGI cartoon and it was an Extreme sports/Special ops themed action show, it was produced by Richard Raynis who also was responsible for the writing on Starship Troopers Roughnecks, another CGI cartoon series made by the same company. the Max Steel toys were made my Mattel. the voice acting and writing in Max Steel mostly holds up very well
I watched a trailer for the movie Evolution yesterday. I didn’t end up watching it but still a coincidence a cartoon based on it was the first game in this collection
And a legit impressive intro scene! As soon as Chat said it was an Amiga game, I hunted it down and gave it a spin on WinUAE. Even with the stock A1000 settings (I was worried the 1994 game might require a later model), it played a song with lyrics, and it didn't sound like a digitized mess. Man, the Amiga was no joke! I can't believe we had one and I never got to play any games on it.

No one should try to anyway, everyone should be allowed to like what they like without others acting like there's some divine dictate on what is and isn't Good or Bad. But I also am not surprised when people don't agree with my tastes.
