I was pretending to be a new player, hoping worlds asking people how I could get armor and a sword and some random lvl 37 gave me 10k. I then asked where to buy the armor and sword and he showed me how to use the GE. After a bit of chatting, he told me he only had 30k, so I gave the gold back and told him I was doing a social experiment, then we went our seperate ways. After about 10 minutes I went to world 301 and saw him standing there next to some high level players. I went over to him and told him how I thought he was such a genuine person and offered to give him 1mill and because he deserves it. He was ecstatic and very thankful. I talked with him for 10 minutes and out of nowhere some guy asked him to show his cash stack. He then proceeded to double it. Turns out he had been going through some hard times and that all this generosity made him feel a bit better. Idk why I wrote this comment but thought it was pretty cool that there are some very genuine people in this world who aren't looking to gain anything and just want to help other people out with what little they have.
It's actually really hard to _not_ do this as a richer player. I can make 10m in an hour, at those levels, 500k is game changing money. I came across a player that was faming big bones to save up for full rune, I offered him a set of full rune (g) and declined and said 'I like the journey.' That's something every player should aspire to.
It is funny because giving cash away especially these amounts is game breaking for the new player. Why do you think so many people play ironmans these days? money is nothing but at early game it does destroy you experience. Instead of you having to work to get your food and armour for combat training, you just buy the gear and the food and go training. Nothing you do gives you the feeling like, ye I earned this... And that is why so many peeps play ironmans, atleast on that mode you do get that feeling of I've earned this. Unlike a main where everything hard to get can be bought and trained beside the GE. (normal account is like rs3 while irons are like real oldschool runescape)
@@Desperado070 To be honest it is the bonds that is the issue, they are useful but pump tons of gold into the game devaluing eveerything. I played for years and back when gold was hard to get, expensive to buy you wouldnt even mention iron man, removing trade nearly killed the game let alone entire builds based around no trade. I remember when I started playing again back in 2017. I was making a baby pure at rock crabs and some dude in bandos walked up to me and talked with me for 10 minutes and then traded me 30m and teleported. Completely set the trajectory for the account and I had money to pk. It was crazy because back in actual old school RuneScape, nobody just traded you money for no reason.
Yea it is lol. High level players give away cash all the time. Go make a lvl 3 right now go world 301 and ask the nerds by the Al Khalid gate for 100k. Guarantee you walk away with at least a mil.
