The banking thing is the beauty of ironman i think, every herb feels like a really huge drop unlike in normal RS where you just ignore it and buy it in bulk from the GE.
I recently started an ironman, now reaching mid levels but I remember getting my first 8 law runes. It felt huge in comparison to playing a normal account, when it's such a minor thing usually
I haven’t even finished the video, but I love when you mention the long-term mindset. People can get so caught up with the accomplishments they forget the journey. Not rushing and just chilling makes this truly feel like the game it is, and not some chore to overcome to then have fun later when I get the level/drop whatever.
Yeah once I started doing slower, afk methods on my iron I started to enjoy it a lot more. Before I realised it my bank was stacked with supplies, even if it wasn't max efficiency
My tips for maintaining prayer potions: 1. Most importantly, maximise ranarr production while skilling. keep farming contracts up, kingdom at max herbs. These alone will easily keep up protection prayers during slayer while your ppot reserve for bosses grows. sepulcher has common ranarr seed drops on higher floors, 4+. Training agility at high levers at sepulcher should allow consistently using damage boosting prayers during slayer. 2. Use wisely. Figuring out which activities you do and how long and ration potion use accordingly. This is quite tough to know beforehand though. Wear proselyte over fighter torso when praying. Choose the right prayer. Piety for bosses of course, but you propably can't keep it up on regular slayer tasks. No boost at all works fine for regular melee slayer, but 10% strength prayer is a very slowly draining alternative worth considering. 3. Postpone. Farm bosses later with better stats and gear. Making fights shorter saves supplies. For example doing barrows with iban blast, low ranged, melee and prayer uses some prayer pots, while trident, whip and blowpipe with high stats gets you out of the crypts before all your prayer is drained. Upgrading prayer bonus obviously helps. Higher orayer level also slightly improves points restored per sip. cash in your dragon bones. 4. If all else fails, and you need more ppots quick, master farmers give a few seeds per hour as long as you have very high thieving with Ardy hard diary done. 92+ is pretty mandatory for it to be smooth at all. hopefully this can be avoided however, as this isn't a great method for xp purposes. Bonus tip: prayer flicking negates all prayer use and improves your rhythmic abilities for difficult encounters later. Check out both lazy flicking and 1-tic flick.
With your specific example of barrows on #3 there, I feel like its worth delaying barrows until after medium combat achievements for new irons, now that the medium ca hilt prevent all prayer drain from the crypts
@@rg4490 agree! that would mean you don't have to recharge stats every round, allowing teleporting right back after opening the chest. New CA rewards are pretty sweet. propably worth it to do medium tier before pest control as well.
U can just safe spot barrows if done in the right order. I started pretty early without using any ppots at barrows. Would highly recommend doing it this way if u want to save ppots however the kills are slightly slower but it’s definitely worth it
@@errman4279 I'd still go with good stats and gear for best time/resource efficiency but early barrows can definitely be a lot of fun! We've all been there with our ibans' and rune crossbow. I learned a few safespots inside the crypts when I was doing combat achievements with a 1 def uim pure. fun times.
2:14 to not waste the prayer exp just keep a bonecrusher on you (bonecrusher necklace if you can get it upgraded to that also saves a inv space) also can use the ash version also, takes up a spot in your invy but use it when on tasks with mobs that drop ashes.
My main got a quest cape but I felt no accomplishment so I made an Ironman. Now I’m like 40 total levels behind my main but everything just seems more appreciated. 31 med clue rangers 😅
once you have a certain balance of supplies/mats in the bank it will usually balance out so you can keep going a little bit. For example if you consume sara brews you might just receive alchs/seeds/rawfish from the monsters you are killing
This video is a gem! A real diamond I tell ya. Great work, always getting better. Soul wars is really good for resources as well. :) and shooting stars for gem bags for crafting is also really good. :)

i beta tested runescape before it was released in 2000 and again in 2001. recently, i've tested ironman on osrs and also on the newer version of runescape. the new version blows it out of the water. i think osrs is only worth playing for nostalgia. some great improvements throughout the years. alot of people are turned off by the EOC combat system, maybe there will be another game changing update to combat sometime in the future?
Great video bro, decided to make an iron on osrs for first time its so fun day 3 and I'm at wintertodt atm might stay till 99 but unsure just following a step by step guide atm
A tip from someone who HATES agility: always save up highalchs like diamond/ruby bracelets, slayer loot, crafted battlestaffs and so on and do roof top agility while alching, it save time instead of just bankstanding highalching, i always save up the highalcs and do it while training agility, it makes it feel more rewarding "making money" while doing something boring. Im currently 75 agility from doing it.

Only thing i would add would be don't neglect construction and getting teleports in your house. Being able to move freely as an ironman has been zo nice for me.
You know how i did farming: i did pre quest till i had 34 and did minigame till 75. I had unlocked all the gucci stuf there and i could plant most of the important stuff early. And it didnt take that long to tbh

Easiest to get bowstring for ironman is playing the temple trekking minigame with the easy route. Each run gives you 100 bowstrings. People don't talk about it much, but it's also an INVALUABLE source of watermelon seeds at 10 per run. That will help you immensely leveling up farming as well as getting ultracompost.

I play an ultimate ironman account, cant bank nuthing except for what you can store in your house and store items around the map lmao but i enjoy it that way
Things not mentioned in this video: buy potato with cheese from the warrior's guild (it heals 16HP the same as a monkfish and is dirt cheap) get a high level to thieve master farmers through blackjacking menaphite thugs. Its literally 200k XP an hour with runelite menu entry swapper. Use the wine from the bar and keep your inv full of jugs so you don't regular pickpocket. Use the bush patch next to the kandarin monastery to stack white berries. And use the cactus patch in Al Kharid for potato cactus. (this gives easy farming xp as well as herblore secondaries) Do birdhouse runs with mahogany logs from miscellanea or yew logs chopped when your membership runs out. This gives a lot of hunter XP in a short time. (once your crafting is 75 you can use magic logs from brimstone keys)

Man iron was so different back then, you hit trees for months for a 17m cash, i grinded oit a bowfa, got a extremrly op weapon, a tonne of res gems ores arrows and over 60m in alchs lol
Farming too, it used to be like the rarest 99 on irons, now it's the 2nd most common besides firemaking lol. Used to be crazy hard to get seeds with no birdhouses and no farming guild, you had to kill giant mole or something
or better yet, forget about stringing bows and move on to better money makers. maple long (u) alchs for free magic xp already. I'd look into gauntlet > sepulcher > air/earth battlestaffs with Paddewwa tabs > blackjacking. and of course slayer
Could you make a video, where you explain how irons raid/boss? Like, do I have to solo every single boss out there, or can a friend help me kill? Love the videos, keep up the good work!
birdouse and herb+farming contracts runs are key. I'm at endgame now, at let me tell you that tons of supplies are needed for bosses like phosanis or nex. I did these runs quite regularly but still kind of struggling with supplies, as for example you need about 9 to 10k prayer potions to finish phosanis on average and over 10k brews and 4-5k rests for nex, those two bosses are brutal grinds, better be prepared.

First, diamond. (and just how many diamonds did you have?! over 2k?! ...and where can I go to get that many?) Second, all very good tips. My account is a main, but I often follow many of these as I am poor (less than a mil gp in bank currently, and even if my bank's worth more... We're all hoarders, I'm sure) and don't want to spend loads of money on things I could reasonably earn myself. I have bought some stuff (like a dust mystic staff), but I went the hard way and grinded out a barronite mace as my melee weapon of choice from 40 to 60 atk. It served me well until I bought a dragon scimi. I also used the cores I got maging the golems during that grind to make a nice amount of runes, too. And don't even get me started on farming. I've trained it so much, it's my second-highest skill right now (only two levels behind firemaking). It is so useful. I've grown a lot of herbs, some cooking ingredients, and even some snape grass and other secondaries. I've even grown and slain 5 hespori! I think part of my affinity for the farming skill comes from games like stardew valley and story of seasons...
