I can believe that they were both abusive to each other, but the videos clearly show that she was the aggressor on THAT DAY. to now admit she hit him with a bat to ensure he couldn't get out while hes actively begging for his life is insane. The only way she could've gone upstairs and fallen asleep in this new scenario is if she knew he wouldn't be able to get out of the suitcase. So she's saying she just planned to keep him locked in a suitcase for over 12 hrs straight and thought he'd be fine? this woman is a piece of work. I wonder if the defence attorney was smart enough to play prosecutor cross-examination with her. What did she think his anger level would be when she let him out the next day? As you point out what would she have said if asked if she thought he could get out when she went up to bed? Why did she not call the police if she was so afraid instead of hitting him with a bat? Did she generally become angry when she was drunk? Was she drunk that night?

All she had to do was call the police like she did at other times except maybe not bail him out the next day as usual. I hope she gets the max, she's shown no remorse, actually blames the victim & has put his family through hell. Her ex-husband said she was a violent drunk who used to hit him out of nowhere & he'd just get up & leave.Jorge hit back, she would call the police, he would get arrested & then she'd bail him out the next day. All that to show him who's the boss. She's been playing games & running out the clock so she gets time served & then goes home, so she thinks. She needs prison.

Fact. He lawyer is doing HIS JOB that he is ethically committed to do . Defense or plaintiff, the lawyer defends that person. That is how it works. You are an ignorant idiot to put any Blame whatsoever on the attorney for being the Defense attorney. How profound to judge & hate on the attorney. Ignorance is rampant for so many who think they know what is going on and actually make a comment about such. Sometimes it's best to remain silent when it's obvious that they are clueless. Speaking just to add your 2 cents ,thinking you are intelligent enough to talk with the adults . Do yourself a favor, educate yourself for crying out loud. When a defense counsel seeks the presiding judge's consent to allow the defendant to testify "narratively", it's because that lawyer believes that the lawyer would be suborning perjury if the lawyer gets the defendant's testimony in the normal way: by asking direct questions. Usually, when the lawyer makes that "request", it is made with the threat that if the judge denies that request, the lawyer will be compelled for ethical reasons to move to withdraw as counsel. As the judge made clear, it is the defendant who makes the decision whether to testify or not.
