I'd recommend also checking candidate artist names for meanings in most common languages. With my first artist name I didn't do this, because I thought it's just a fantasy word I came up with. After some time, it turned out it's actually an English slang word I didn't know, and even though it wasn't really that bad, it didn't fit with what I wanted to do or be at that time. This was basically the end of that project.
I'm kind of new to this channel. I'm starting to make watching it a routine. Good stuff man.

My artist name came about because I was trying to find something that would fit my music style (trance/hardstyle/gabber). Hardstyle and Gabber artists seems to have a thing for the letters k-q-x-y-z and for the name to be a little more dark sounding (zatox, headhunterz, arkaine, gunz 4 hire, audiofreq, showtek, etc.) but due to the trance influence and the fact that I like more atmospheric, euphoric hardstyle, I wanted to reflect that with something a little more "sleek" I guess? Well, "Zeerus" was an old name I used to use for video game characters and it fit what I was looking for so I went with it. I added the "Dj" bit because in hardstyle and gabber, it is still a very common thing to throw that before your artist name for whatever reason.
P.S. Showtek and Headhunterz did actually start off with hardstyle.
Dj Names ideas for Vanessa "pink noiz" and if you guys were a producer duo "frequency modulators" cuz you know you are a sine (wave) and Vanessa is your other half that "modulates" you and add a lot(of frequencies) to you ;)
I think the old version sounds better cuz the new one sounds too generic and doesn't fit your style

What does everybody think about N8 Classics. My name is Nathan, short is Nate. I also love Passionate Coleman, because my name is Nate/Nathan Coleman, but it's too many syllables. I thought about N8 beats, but everybody uses beats after their name. Everybody used to call me Nasty Nate too, but there are way too many musicians with that also. I like Nate/N8 Classics and Passionate Coleman because I am very passionate about making classics. What do y'all think? Or Nate Nice?

Regelo, i came up with it for a game and when i needed an artist name i chose the name i used this name. Its an easy name to remember, its a neutral name and it sounds good when you say it out loud.
the bass synth with the envelope is too cheesy-2000's for me. A blend of both versions minus the envelope bass sound would be really cool. I like the synths in the 1st version bc they almost sound like orchestra violas. I would try to use some viola type sounds. M83 - Oblivion is a good example.
I was thinking “Bryo” as my artist name. Brian is my real name but everyone thinks it’s spelled with a “y” instead of “I” also my friend likes to call me “Bryon” which is a French variant of Brian so I dropped the “N” and Bryo was born.
Hi, my name is Max (short) and i always wanted to create more an experience than just music. for life-sets i always composed new transitions between the songs having a hard break between metal-ish music and more electronic music in the interludes. i really wanted people to fall into this long piece of music without any breaks, so the drummer of one of my former bands came up with my name: Maxperience. i instalty thought it was the perfect match foy ma name and my musicals goals. cheers

Rap name: Used to be R.O.B. but their were a few of those so I just spelled out the acronym... RhymingOverBeats...because My name is Rob and I rhyme over beats. Simple. Production name: IHMadeThis My graf tag was Imperial Hiro (Imperial - relating to an empire....Hiro - a Japanese given name with multiple meanings, dependent on the characters used. 裕 means "abundant". 寛 means "generous, tolerant" and 浩 means "prosperous.") and "I/IH" made the beat...thus... "IHMadeThis"
My branding for all music stuff is JAMp hamayame, JAMp goes for all of music production (game & edm) and hamayame goes for my cover singing alias.
both of JAMp and hamayame are from my name. JAM from reverse abbreviation with the 'p' on producer, hamayame is choiced syllables from my name.
after having too much going around with this name stuffs, this one is the one I prefer to be called to around my circles besides of my past dark dark cringey artist name :D

I think that the second drop is more creative, and also fits to the vibe of the track. Maybe another layer for a richer top end works good. Also you can introduce small weird sounds in the quiet parts or just small cool percussion elements. It's sounding pretty well right now. I recommend you to listen to Louis The Child, Myrne, Baynk, Chace... For ideas :)
I think the basic Name-Surname is always the most natural. You'll always relate it with a person because that's the structure we are used to, so that's never going to look old.
All this trendish things can look cool at the moment, but are going to get old and look weird. This "mixing capital letters with numbers" (1M7H3B055) thing that's going on right now looks like a wifi pasword to me
I'd say the only thing is if there's some type of trend within a genre and you plan to stick with the genre. Every music genre (not just EDM) seems to exhibit some sort of style or trend that the artist names follow. It can just be a little weird when your artist name completely does not fit the music you're making.
Dj Zeerus I think so, but I personally wouldn't force myself to stick to a genre forever. Since I started I've made a lot of different genres (from hardstyle to chill) and now I'm starting to create my own. I love experimenting new things and I don't think getting stuck in one genre is a good idea.
To give you an example, I used to love Big Room House and now I pretty much hate it
I have I dilemma with this name thing. I chose a name and released 5 tracks under the name Ta-Quin , then I noticed 2 other people using the same name taquin and now I feel I have to start over :( what do you think ? There is a long story behind the name should I keep it or start again ?

I like your videos, I am just wondering the reason why you switched from hip-hop to EDM; it must be a big difference, I am a fan of electro but I hate hip-hop :)
The switch was 12 years ago when I didn’t even produce. I love good old school hip hop but at the time most hip hop songs where really bad and produced for a market instead as it was at the beginning with a message.

Hey! I am a beginning EDM producer who has no idea what to call herself. I think NeonCynematik (or some spelling variant of that) might a good idea... is it? I often come up with tracks that are a blend of glitch hop, drum 'n' bass, various kinds of dubstep, and ambient; usually with a somewhat symphonic feel that paints a movie in my head. I like flute melodies, vocoder effects, chiptune-like patches, bell-like patches and unique wobbles.

I have a double-barreled surname, so I left out the first part of it and chose that for my artist name - 'Bilal Cader'. I think it's a unique enough name and I've been making stuff other than EDM which is why I didn't add DJ to my name. I also write songs that are quite personal to me, so I think that by using my name it doesn't feel like it's coming through a filter and it's just more honest I guess. It's simple enough to say and remember and I also just happen to really like my name haha
Also not a huge fan of chopped up vocals in songs but I did like the second one however if you added like an electric guitar in a high octave for the first one playing the top line of the chord progression or something I think it might sound pretty cool.

Cool name, I like it although now second thoughts I'm not completely sure if its pronounced "flown" or "flonay" or "flo-nee"? One idea would be to remove the "e" so you'd have "Flon", which also rhymes with "Tron". But Flone is cool too (assuming it is pronounced "flown")
