Don't let your kid around your ATCs, kids seem to love poking tweeters ;) Good idea to build a studio eventually in a space you own. The best thing I did in my career was buy a property and have a custom "forever" studio built. It's a dream room that I can access any time I want (it has a complete isolation shell) and it's 20 feet from my front door. The result? Even with 3 kids I can create in a good flow.
