I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees Mr Robot as their favorite TV show of all time. It is writing/acting/musical scoring/cinematography/raw emotional character development combine to be far more than the sum of their parts. I love how you pointed out Dark as well, which is a gorgeous gripping and superbly crafted series in its own right. Watching Dark gave me a similar feeling to watching Mr Robot; that I will be hard pressed to find something as thoroughly enthralling and thought provoking.

Quick correction, its Robert Eggers, not Roger. Other than that Id disagree with Joker being good enough to stand alone, I totally agree with everything else but honestly I think Joker was overhyped. A solid film with decent everything, and a good performance from Joaquin Pheonix, however I liked a lot of his other roles this decade alone. I agree totally about The Lighthouse, its a classic and will go down as one of my favorite movies of all time. Some of the best cinematography ever, and genuinely blows me away. Also I LOVE PARASITE. I was pretty bummed out about not seeing these two in the video, so I figured you haven't seen them. I highly recommend giving both of the following a shot! - Amazon Prime Video's The Boys: It's basically a more realistic take on what would have happened if superheroes actually existed, including a great cast, fantastic writing and probably the best version of an evil Superman/Captain America ever. Started with season 1 this year, watch the first episode and I promise you won't be able to stop yourself from bingeing it from start to finish. - Netflix's BoJack Horseman: Ended its fantastical run this year with the release of season 6, which was just as or maybe even better than the rest of the show. It's an adult cartoon tackling all different kinds of mental illnesses and addiction in the most faithful way probably ever in television. It's not an adult cartoon because it's a cartoon "made only for adults", it's an adult cartoon because it's a cartoon with adult themes. Don't be put off by the beginning, because the six first episodes aren't that good. But once you reach episode 7 and 8 you will be hooked. My descriptions are pretty bleak, so I advise you to look at other websites with skilled people knowing how to do this if you don't understand what I mean. And even if you don't seem interested, watch and you won't regret it!

Like I said at the beginning, it's not a comprehensive list of everything I watched, just what I considered to be the highlights of the year. Bojack and The Boys were good, but (for me) ultimately forgettable in comparison with every other title I mentioned. Also, low-key for a few weeks during the peak of the show's hype I wanted to make a video criticizing the Boys because it has a lot of problems that people don't talk about, but I didn't want to incite backlash, so I didn't do that.

@@tegelstenen4178 I didn't say BoJack was forgettable, far from it, but you have to understand that this video is about the media that were the absolute highlights of my year, not just random stuff I liked. So in the context of TV and movies that stood out to me personally in 2019, yes, BoJack was more forgettable, but again, that has nothing to do with the quality of the show and everything to do with what I liked more personally.
